As I hunt for New York pizza in DC, this was a good option. Although the toppings and cheese were a little thick, which made the whole thing a little doughy, I did enjoy the quality of the ingredients. The dough was flavorful and the cheese had a great pull! The veggie slice was piled very high too, but again, tasted good!

Was in the area and in need of sustenance. My friends all went to &pizza, but we walked by this place and I had actually wanted to try it a few years ago and it was closed! I noticed it was open, and refused to pass up the opportunity! While my friends were in &pizza, I ran over to We The Pizza. As soon as you walk in, you see them preparing ingredients on the left and the pizza display and register are straight ahead. It's a small space, so be prepared for takeout! There were some yummy looking options on display, like buffalo chicken, a pizza that appeared to have a bunch of crispy fried onions on top, pepperoni and more! I asked what the most popular ones were -- one of them was Forest Shroomin. I said why not, despite not being the biggest mushroom fan (I got sick in college, it wasn't fun man). It had mushrooms, truffles, bechamel, thyme, parmesan, & mozzarella. I also decided to get the honey ham & pineapple. They heated up both slices and served them in a small box. Once I met up with my friends, I was pleased to see how hot each one was. And both were quite good -- the mushroom one had a lot of good flavors going on -- so much that I didn't mind there being so many mushrooms! I didn't realize until I checked the ingredients just now, but the "Hawaiian" pizza actually had ginger-infused pineapples... no wonder it was so good! It's definitely a better deal to get a whole pizza, because the slices are $6 each! That's... pretty expensive for a slice in my opinion, even for DC. The ingredients are quality indeed, but still. They do have a lunch special where you can get two slices & a soda or a slice, side salad and soda for $13.50... that's a good deal there and if I worked locally I'd take advantage more than I'd care to admit. This is good pizza, give them a visit!

We the Pizza always hits. Big slices for pretty decent prices ($5 or $6)! It's a good spot for a late night slice with fast service and piping hot slices of pizza. The only drawback is that there isn't any seating since the storefront is so small.

Popped in here ready to conclude my night out on U St. My friends wanted an elevated pizza experience compared to the other options so here we landed. The location on U St is their express location so it's kinda get in and get out or get lucky with a stool and scarf your slice down lol. Don't plan to come with a large group and hangout at this particular location. I ordered a slice of white pizza and lemme tell you... I inhaled that pizza. I was kinda mad at myself for not ordering an extra slice for later! It was just too good! I wondered the next day with a clearer mind if it was as good as I thought so I circled the block. My friends, it was just as good the next day! The service was great on both occasions and I'm happy to report quality pizza can be found here! Cheers!

Needed a late night slice of pizza after a night out with the girls. Ended here. I got a cheese slice and added Parmesan and crushed peppers. It hit the spot.

Was very disappointed. Fried wings tasted like old refried chicken, and I might as well eat chicken jerky. They don't readc order instructions. I ordered thin crust Pizza and got thick crust. I ordered thin for a reason!! It was not good overall.

Had previously gone here and really enjoyed my pizza. They gave a generous amount of cheese and the sauce was a little sweet but was definitely a solid piece. The last time we went the pizza was SO SALTY - to the extent it was barely able to be eaten. I couldn't believe the difference and not really sure what happened. Aside from the pizza, we also tried the garlic knots in our last visit. They were ok. I prefer my knots to be doughy, soft and loaded with garlic. These were not that. I want to love it but not sure about the inconsistency.

I love this place! I haven't been inside and usually my friend goes inside for me while I wait in the car so they say it's a small inside and can be tight when it's packed so it sometimes impacts the customer service which is understandable! Other than that though, on the off peak time they're super friendly with our pick up orders. The only times I've ever come here is when I do a pick up order from the, "Too Good to Go" app, which is an app designed to help reduce food waste by selling you surprise bags for a reduced cost of whatever their left overs are! (Before you come for me and the idea, just do your own research!) the first time we ordered we received four pizza slices, two capital supreme slices, one pineapple and ham, and a ricotta cheese one (all were so good and huge! I literally cut them in half to make two decent sized slices) the second time we got a different type of cheesey pizza that had some sort of meat and pepperoni on it and it was also so good. I definitely recommend picking up a slice on a night out.
