History of Present Indulgence:We stopped by Wasai before catching a movie at a nearby theater. It's a fast-casual spot that was perfect for a quick, satisfying meal. I've also been here a few times for lunch on my own.Physical Exam:Food - The noodle soups are fantastic, especially the beef noodle soup, which brings back memories of home-cooked meals from my mom. The spicy cumin lamb burger is a standout, reminiscent of the one from Xian Famous Foods in NYC. Dumplings are solid, though the soup dumpling skin is a bit doughy. The spicy wontons are saucy and pack a punch with a Sichuan peppercorn kick. They also serve Gong Cha boba teas, which are a sweet bonus.Service - Quick and efficient, making it easy to grab a meal without delay.Ambiance - A cozy, casual setup that's great for solo diners or small groups. It's not ideal for large gatherings (over six people) due to the limited seating.Assessment/Plan:Wasai offers some awesome traditional items that are perfect for a quick, comforting Chinese meal. The noodle bowls are a must on cold days, and the diverse menu makes it worth revisiting. Definitely recommend for solo dining or small groups, but plan accordingly for larger parties.

Came in for a bite of lunch. It was pretty busy but we were able to snag a table. You order at the kiosk and they'll call your number out when it's ready. I love that it's two establishments in one. We were able to order noodle soup and boba!I got the Assorted Beef Pull Noodle Soup w/ hand shaved noodles & Pork Soup Dumplings. The noodle soup was ok. The hand shaved noodles were a bit lacking and didn't have the correct texture/mouth feel & the soup was lukewarm. The soup dumplings were good but the skin was a bit thick & no ginger was served with it.Overall, food is good if there's nothing like it around but nothing I'd crave to come back to again.

The beef flank pull noodle soup was pretty good, especially for a cold winter evening. However, the soup was not too flavorful. The noodles were pretty good, however. Service is pretty quick, you just order from a kiosk. There's a lot of seating inside, but it can be difficult to find seating if it's packed, especially during typical meal hours. Inside it's more of a fast food kinda vibe.

Food was so so very basic and Americanized. Dumplings were great. Boba took forever and was blended wrong.

The classic Chinese and fried rice and the dumpling we got tasted like the worst thing I have ever had in my life.The staff are nice and the food hot prepared fast. I would give two stars just for the good service but I want to help others to not waste money and subject themselves to such bad tasting food.

- Hand cut beef noodle soup was delicious! Very satiating and filling. I definitely recommend getting hand cut noodles, which are thick and adds a fresh yummy carb-ness to the soup dish. - Seaweed was okay. Not what I expected but still nice to get some vegetables in... - Pan-fried pork, shrimp, and chive dumplings were good and tasty. The place has soy sauce, black vinegar, and "dumpling sauce" which I've never seen before, but it was pretty good, and I enjoyed it with dumplings (although my girlfriend didn't like it lol).

After going to the Museum of Illusions, my friend and I really wanted something refreshing to drink and snack on!Such a cool spot to grab dumplings and sparkling peach tea and sparkling passion fruit tea! You can order with a human or a computer. Fun to watch the guy make the noodles! I'll be back to try more items on the menu-- things looked so good as we waited for our dumplings!

I had a much higher expectation than what actually happened. To order you go to a kiosk. When your order is ready you pick it up off the counter. So there isn't really any customer service. The food was bland. I couldn't believe it! The self serve chili oil station provided a bit of flavor but WOW was it really ordinary. We had several cucumber dishes in the area and by far this one was the worst. I also did not care for the fact that they used disposable cutlery and plates for some of their dishes. With all of the Chinese food places in the area I would not likely ever come back.
