This is my go to for a nice homestyle breakfast or meal. It feels like being in someone's kitchen, sometimes there is a thrift sale going on next door. You can get a decent meal for what it should be, not these ridiculous prices charged at other restaurants. This is no frills with hospitality, quick service and you can chat and have a nice visit with friends. Plenty of parking.+ ATM + parking (handicap accessible)+ reasonable prices+ good food and portions+ service

What a fantastic place. Park and enter from the back. I love biscuit and gravy, the King being Hardees, and I judge all others by that measurement. This was pretty good, surprisingly good. Too much gravy though, or not enough biscuits. The ratio was off I can't be certain if the biscuits are massed produced, but they were good to eat so no complaint. Large glass of OJ. Old timers telling stories and laughing, news on the television, huge bowls of creamers, and jelly. No frills, single open room mess hall. Loved it.

@ American Legion Post 176, Warrior Cafe6520 Amherst Ave, Springfield, VA 22150Keep in mind the Warrior Closes at 2:30 PM on weekends, so check the schedule or call ahead. There's usually lots of open tables to accomodate groups and families. The staff are always friendly and quick to bring the pot of coffee. We've usually gone for breakfast and burgers which are always good. Onion rings are always crisp and Susan has never had a bad burger. It's rare that I get over there for lunch, but have found anything with gravy is good!VIDEO:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXsUTwFwPAo

While in the DC area for a family funeral at Arlington National Cemetery last week, 10 of the cousins gathered for breakfast at Warrior Cafe Post 176 before parting ways. From the street, you wouldn't even know they have a restaurant, as it is inside the American Legion building. Thankfully, I found good reviews on Yelp and we decided to try it. All of us really enjoyed the breakfast! The servings are pretty large and the food was cooked well. All the tables were served by one waitress/server and she was good. We didn't have to wait long for anything and she came by to check on us often. Impressive! I recommend this little place if you are in the area!

This place is a hole in the wall type place, but the breakfast food was cheap (no taxes and prices low) and delicious. I need to find one like this in the Atlanta area since I've moved. I recommend this place to the highest!

Didn't know this place existed until I saw it on Yelp. It was a bit confusing at first when first pulling up to the place ss there is no sign outside that says "warrior cafe"As you enter inside and turn right, you'll see the small dining room. The pricing is really great compared to other restaurants in the area. Good breakfast food! Steak was a bit overcooked but i still enjoyed it

I was passing through the area and coming across Warrior Cafe Post 176 was a happy accident. It's a basic diner with a general menu but the food was delicious! With large portions and inexpensive prices you simply can't go wrong. The ladies who work there were very warm and welcoming.

Great homemade breakfast. A cool place for Vets or active military to get some breakfast grub. Still taste better than cafeteria but not as good as a grandma could make it. Its in a building if you can't find it.

Had the country fried steak breakfast w coffee for $10. Can't beat that! Especially when the service was great and the meal was excellent! I went on a Monday 11am..so it wasn't busy. Although as I was leaving, more people were coming in for lunch...
