you can't tell the salad is drenched, soggy with some random sweet/sour dressing that's not even on the ingredient list, but it is. Gross.

The food and service is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. The ambiance is unique and somewhat rustic with an old town style. It's a must visit

Ordered thanksgiving meal including Turkey about a month ago. Was told it was ready for pick up last night only to get there and after standing in a long line to be told that someone "stole" our Turkey to give to another customer. Also they didn't have our Turkey gravy that we ordered either. Absolutely outrageous service. So so disappointing. After some back and forth they said they would deliver a new Turkey to us last night. We were not sure it would actually happen until we got our delivery late last night. Never going back there again!

This place sells mediocre groceries at unjustifiably high prices. It's a ripoff. Simple as that. I'll add that the brisket is a horrible, fatty mess. That said, the employees are friendly and professional. They should all go work for Trader Joe's.

Fine but not as much selection as the main store and deli. A bit overpriced

So very overpriced. I get it is Spring Valley but when you a pay a premium, you expect a premium meal and service. Wagshals instead serves slop at insane prices with just ok service. The Italian sub - what was a favorite of mine and used to be around $10 - is now $15.95 - yes, nearly $16 for a small sub. It didn't have that much meat, the meat wasn't high quality and the sandwich was dry as there were barely any sweet peppers or oil/vinegar on it.The staff weren't particularly friendly, either. There are so many better options nearby and I'll be going elsewhere next.

Gourmet deli and market with a nice seated area for eating in. I was surprised that the tables are full service; we were seated by a hostess and our server was very attentive. The menu is mostly sandwiches, burgers, and salads, but also has a variety of entrees. Our choices - shrimp & crab casserole and vegan ramen - were decent but not memorable. However, my husband pointed out that our selections probably weren't the house specialities. My friend was pretty happy with his choice of the Impossible Burger. We all enjoyed the deli bakery cookies we bought for dessert, too.Overall, I would rate our dining experience 3.5 stars, but given the convenient seating area and good service I would visit again, especially to try the brunch and lunch menus.

Service took absurdly long on a day with barely any other customers in the store. Waited over 30 minutes for a reheated empanada and poorly made egg sandwich. Food was overcooked and bland.

Got a Reuben to go. It was pretty good with a ton of meat which is something you don't get anywhere except in New York. At $18 it was very pricy and didn't even get a pickle.

I have loved the corn beef special for years-- 15 or so. Just got one today with very little corn beef and tons of kraut. Like eating a puff kraut pastry. And it was cut length wise and the staff offered me ketchup to go? I don't expect Carnegie Delly quality in DC, but this is not a sandwich I return for. Please instruct your new staff. Great sandwiches at these prices need balance of kraut and meat. It's a bit of a labor of love. Don't skimp on meat of course, if anything buck it up a bit-- you get repeat biz that way. And never ever cut these length wise!

Ate at their new location grand bodega on MacArthur blvd. sandwiches were pricey, fatty, So so Italian sub and the salmon on bagel loaded had way to much cream cheese. Very disappointed. Good service adorable looking place but food was expensive and so so at best!
