Manassas was in need of a good cocktail spot and Voodoo Brothers has been one of the new spots to really deliver. A great restaurant and bar with creative cocktails, great service, friendly staff, and in my opinion one of the best burgers in town. You may ask why I got a burger in a spot specializing in cajun food and po boys, but I don't have a good answer for you. I was craving a burger and it far surpassed my expectations. And the sauce. Holy cow the sauce. Get anything that has the voodoo sauce. Family got the catfish, jambalaya and fried okra. All were raved about. I don't think I've ever seen my mother in law finish her plate at a restaurant and that catfish and crab rice dish was demolished.

We went to Voodoo for the first time recently for brunch. It was pretty quiet when we visited as they just started serving their brunch menu. We started with Chicory Coffee and Beignets - which is probably better than what I had in NOLA by the way.For brunch entrees, we had Chicken and the Egg and Cajun Omelet. Both were delicious and spot on. I could not remember the service but it wasn't bad but not memorable either. The ambiance was great. It was almost like we were transported to NOLA.Brunch food is huge in New Orleans and I feel like Voodoo can do better by having NOLA brunch favorites in their menu like Pain Perdu, Jambalaya, Chicken and Waffles.

Went here about two weeks ago....Saturday around 8:30pm. The place was 70% occupied. There was a LSU game playing so quite a few fans dressed with jerseys in there. Surprisingly, the atmosphere wasn't overly loud at the bar area. We were seated quickly and my cousin and I decided to try the oyster and catfish sliders so we can both try each. This is an appetizer and it came with three sliders each. The slaw and pickle complimented the sliders very well. The oysters were fried and could have been seasoned a bit more so this made the slider just OK. The catfish was cooked perfectly and was seasoned great. I enjoyed it way better than the oyster slider. We were both not in the mood for any cocktails and opted for their red wine blend. It was just OK.I gave 4/5 stars only because our server was great with greeting us and taking our order but he didn't come back to check on us until it was time to check out. Our food came and we still didn't get our wine. The manager (I assume) came to check to make sure everything was good and we told him we were still waiting for the wine. I would definitely love to come back to try their other menu and drink items.

It's a small venue, but there is nothing bad to say about the experience. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Drinks and food were excellent. Prices are average to good. Will definitely return.

First time visiting this restaurant with friends - I was fortunate to grab the last table, I can see how it will definitely fill up with customers on Friday and Saturday evenings. This place definitely has a fun energy and vibe! The menu is modest in size but certainly has enough that everyone should be able to find something to their liking. I started off with an unsweetened ice tea and then ordered the chicken and andouille gumbo and a shrimp Po' Boy. The tea was good, but it came with the tiniest slice of lemon that I've ever seen! I asked my waiter for more lemon and fortunately he brought me several more tiny slices. The gumbo was good, not outstanding, but good enough. The shrimp Po' Boy was fine, the shrimp were tender and cooked properly, but I felt the ratio of bread to shrimp was too high. I would have been much happier with more shrimp and less bread. Perhaps I'll give this place another try in the future.

We live in Manassas and had loved the previous restaurant that occupied the space and the one next door too, Okra's - a Manassas classic - so we've had our eyes on Voodoo Brothers opening (the three owners all had worked at Okra's prior) to give us a taste of what we loved so much again. I will preface this by saying we really enjoyed our evening at Voodoo Brothers tonight. It was a Saturday night and quite busy. A great thing to see for a newer, smaller restaurant in its opening weeks. Our server, Ellie, was just the best. Absolutely sweet, charming, on top of things, always checking in on us yet giving us the appropriate amount of space to enjoy our food and drinks too, just the perfect balance all the way around. Definitely ask for her when you go! The manager was also very kind and checked in on us and introduced himself, so we were very happy with the hospitality. Drinks - Awesome. We had the blueberry lemon lavender drink (my favorite), the voodoo grenade (also my favorite lol), and the hurricane. Drinks are on point. Highly recommend. Food - We loved the gator bites and popcorn crawfish. Perfect seasoning, really good. The dirty rice was also a delicious. Cornbread was good paired with the butter. Beignets were good. The only thing my husband felt could use a boost was the gumbo. He makes his own gumbo, roux, and is particular about his gumbo - and he felt this was kind of bland. The color of the roux was great (nice and brown), but overall lacked flavor and that kick you are looking for with a crave worthy gumbo. That being said, we know they are new and continuing to evolve and build their flavors, so we will give them time and try it again!Overall, we love that we have a Cajun spot again downtown and will continue to frequent this spot. Give it a try and continue to patron our local Manassas businesses!
