Really loved the summery decor & vibe in the inside! Cool bar area and a rooftop as well! Love the dim lighting & ambiance - perfect for girl dinner or a date! Service was also fast & my table was checked on often. Now onto the food:- Playa Hermosa: really loved the passionfruit foam on top and the tartness from the pomegranate & lemon!- Nazaré: a fun take spicy marg type cocktail where the lime added acidity - Turtle Bay: The hibiscus tea was a fun non-alcoholic option - Waikiki: more of a sweet mocktail that was refreshing with passionfruit foam- Grilled Pita & Dip Trio: really enjoyed the red beet hummus & tzatziki (olive tapenade was not bad just not a huge olive person). Came with plenty of pita!- Quesabirria: short rib was delicious, dipped in the consommé the taco melted in my mouth- King's Sliders: one of the best sliders I've ever had. Something about the creamy secret sauce & the burger patties were tender - Grilled Octopus: octopus was not tough at all & loved the presentation - Grilled Skirt Steak: steak was marinated nicely & the skillet gratin potatoes were a fun side dish! The side salad also gave a refreshing touch - Cheesecake: solid cheesecake, not anything too special but not bad at all

Vagabond is a cute spot but there are a lot of tables squeezed into the main dining space. And it's very dark. Maybe I'm old, but I couldn't read the menu with such low lighting. I've never experienced that before.I ordered the quesabirria for a starter and the vegan stir fry for my main dish. The quesabirria was tasty, but felt too greasy and heavy for my liking. I think the cheese added to the heavy feeling. The other person in my party ordered the shrimp tacos and those were delicious. Tasted lighter than the quesabirria. The stir fry was good. I didn't think I would finish the whole thing but I did. I added both proteins, shrimp and chicken (I lift and protein is important to me!) Unfortunately the server thought I wanted a chicken skewer so that's what came out. When the person who placed it on the table realized, he started to take it back, but the server put it back on the table. I found that interesting because the skewer had more of a burnt flavor whereas I'm assuming the chicken that would come with the stir fry would not. I didn't complain though because I was pretty hungry, but that annoyed me a bit.I was looking forward to the dessert menu but there wasn't anything on it that appealed to me (aka, no chocolate and nothing cake-like). They had basque cheesecake, grilled pineapple and ice cream, and a third item that I can't recall.Overall, the meal was decent, but I wouldn't return.

I came here during happy hour, and tried both the classic and the Hawaiian sliders as well as the tacos. They were all good, but the Hawaiian one truly impressed - we had to order another set!Drinks were also good too - we sat outside on the second floor at the open bar seating area which was nice when the weather is nice - but inside seating was more formal and nice too - which makes this place also good for the times when the weather isn't great as well. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. We would love to come back to try more items in the menu.

Visited for brunch with a friend over the holiday weekend. The rooftop was perfect for the day's weather, minus the flies that continued to bite everyone outside. I ordered the burrito, which was good. However, the side of potatoes were cold. The bartender did have them bring out a new order, which were warm. My friend and I did feel rushed, as the bartender gave last call shortly after we arrived. I do like that they have multiple drink options on their bottomless menu. This would be my reason for returning.

Came here for brunch once and for also late night drink. The brunch has bottomless espresso martinis and the bartender made, which could be dangerous for a good time! ;) The natural lighting in the day makes for a great brunch spot. At night, the rooftop area is cozy and intimate, allowing for good conversations with a date or friends.

We visited here for late lunch on a Saturday. We got there around 3:30, didn't realize that they serve brunch until 4pm, we waited until 4pm to order. The restaurant is on the noisy side, at least on that day. We sat at the bar since there were no tables available, a lot activity around us. There food storage unit is outside so they constantly had servers going in and out the door where we sat at the bar, a little annoying. The highlight of my time there was the passion fruit mimosa, soooo good. The stir fry dish and octopus dish were good, could have had more octopus in it but it was good. The pineapple fried rice was horribly bland, I would not get that again. Our time here was not horrible but not adding this to my must visit list.

Four stars specifically for the fact that the bottomless drinks include more than just mimosas (rum punch, sangria, expresso martinis!!), Oh and 4 stars for the vibes and decor. The food is your average breakfast food, nothing to write home about. The sliders rise above the rest, but are small and not a full meal. If they could make that a full burger with fries I would cry tears of joy. I like the rum punch and expresso martinis. My friends have enjoyed the white sangria and mimosas (several flavors). I don't like sparking wine, so I'm grateful for a bottomless drink brunch that includes more than just mimosas. The staff are quick and nice. Reservation def required. Tho if you're a party of 2 you might be able to get away with no reservation if you're cool sitting at the bar. We showed up 11am on a Saturday with no reservation and the bar had about 6 seats available. The other 2 times I've been, I made a reservation. Street parking, but just have a little patience and speak that close parking spot into existence!Again, go for the vibes and the wide variety of bottomless drinks. Temper your expectations on the food. I will go back though, no doubt!!!

My bf and I were killing time before our trip back to NYC and he had really wanted to get pancakes, so I'm trolling around Reddit to find the best pancakes in DC for the man. It leads us to the vagabond. The ambiance at the restaurant is a beachy vibe - this place seems more fit to be in San Diego than DC. The waitstaff was very slow - somehow people that sat after us got their food before us - insane. I thought the food was just alright - nothing to write home about. My boyfriend did really enjoy the pancakes though, they were massive and extremely fluffy - he needed extra syrup they were so big. I went with the surfer's burrito which was just eggs, bacons, hashbrowns stuffed in a burrito and it came with home fries. It was just alright. My main complaint about DC in general is that the water there tastes like absolute garbage - it tastes like the pipes it goes through and I've gotten sick from drinking it before. Since I can't drink the water here, my bf and I both got juices. I wish everywhere would just give bottled water.

I've been to vagabond for both brunch and dinner, and I've loved both! The menu options aren't incredibly exciting, but it's all well prepared and in a fun setting. The space is very beachy and modern, but there's fun music that turns it from relaxed to energetic. I loved the Pura Vida scramble at brunch (and the breakfast burrito looks great too), and at dinner I really enjoyed the chicken skewer plate with bok choy and Mediterranean salad. For drinks I've tried the G-Land cocktail which I highly recommend!
