VA Kabob House - Springfield

Back in the area, and stopped in for another delicious meal. Food: Gyro platter sandwich included a lot of meat which was nice and flavorful. Chicken lunch kebab special was just as large and tasty as last time. Plenty of food for two meals. The gentleman gave each of us in our party of four a small cup of coup which was very tasty. The gentleman who took our order was very nice and he also was the one who prepared it, and everything was done well. It seemed that it had been renovated inside and we sat inside to eat while our gold was hot.

One of my go to kabob restaurants in the area! Really good food and great customer service. Staffs are always very nice and friendly! If you have large orders they always help you carry the items to your car. I always have a great experience every time I go there.

Ordered the A7 - shami kabob. Friendly joyous ambiance. The food was well flavored and the spices danced together with a harmony that heats the soul. I was kindly given soup during my short wait for the kabob dish. Great service!

Beware of any kabob places that use RED DYE food coloring in the kabob. This is known to be harmful to your health just so they can present a good looking color on the kabob, they should replace red food coloring with just turmeric. Then place is not clean and looks like it's outdated but it's cheap so I guess you get what you pay for here. Service is just at the counter and pretty simple.

Food - the taste of the food is yummy and overall I would say that's what matters to me. I ordered a sandwich and I'm only in the area sometimes on the weekend otherwise I don't eat Afghan food and the sandwich in traditional Afghan bread was very endearing since most other places use pita bread. Glad to see an Afghan restaurant authentic to its roots, that made me happy. 5 Ambiance- 1 It's designed very functionally. There's tables and chairs but I wouldn't say any effort was made to make it look nice. I went to the ladies room to wash my hands the soap dispenser was empty and there was a bottle on the sink but that was empty too. No paper towels either so I don't think the bathrooms are regularly checked or even cleaned. Service- 2 I wanted mantu but was told it was not available, which is disappointing. I ordered a Greek feta salad and the name says feta in it but I was given basically lettuce and a few pieces of red onion there wasn't any cheese. I wish I didn't pay for it. I would recommend for takeout only not dine in.

I came in here recently for dinner. I got qabili palau ($13.99), naan ($1.85), cholle chick peas ($5.25), and some juice ($6.50). All of the ingredients were fresh and tasty. Qabili palau is steamed rice and lamb served with caramelized carrot shreds and raisins. This is the go-to Afghan recipe if you have not had Afghan food before. The servings were very generous--I took half home and had another meal the next day. The service was quick and friendly. Keep up the excellent work.

This place is easily accessible from Springfield. It's more of a takeout place but there are around ten chairs if you want to stop by and eat.The Super Combo has Lamb, Beef and Chicken. The beef had a lot of flavor. The chicken was moist and tender as well as the lamb. This combo is huge so it's definitely shared. I ordered the potato curry as my side. I just ordered an extra Naan and boom, dinner for two. I will certainly be coming back.

The food is delicious !!! Always made fresh with excellent service. I come here once a week. Can't beat the price and quality!
