the wait was about 20 mins on a saturday night. the broth selection here is amazing. this was my first time trying chinese broth for hot pot and i was pleasantly surprised. there is a convey belt with popular sides rotating at all times. the quality of the meat was good and the vegetables were all fresh. the food was great and fairly priced. the inside was clean and service was good.

Urban Hot Pot is a great spot for hot pot lovers. I recently had dinner here. The interior is well-maintained, clean, and comforting, but be prepared for a bustling atmosphere during peak dinner hours. The restaurant gets quite busy, and with no reservations available for parties smaller than four, it's best to arrive early and join the waitlist. The ordering process is smooth and modern. While the conveyor belt feels unnecessary, the tablet-based system is incredibly convenient, with food delivered quickly to the table. The ingredients--meats, seafood, and vegetables--were fresh, and the soups were flavorful, with the tom yum broth being my favorite. The brisket, Australian beef, and rice cakes were ingredients I enjoyed and recommend. The sauce bar offers a good variety, though its placement in a cramped corner can make it feel a bit chaotic. Additionally, as with most hot pot experiences, expect your clothes to pick up the smell of the food, so dress accordingly. Unfortunately, there are no under-the-chair compartments or designated spots to store jackets or sweaters. That said, the ventilation is good and it doesn't feel muggy inside the restaurant. That said, the fresh ingredients, efficient ordering system, and delicious flavors make this a great place to get hot pot. Just give yourself some extra time for seating if you're with a small group.

I love eating hotpot and this spot is in my top 3. They are a more modernized take on hotpot with an all-you-can-eat personal hotpot rather than one big family style. Great sauce bar with a good amount of different options to make your own custom dipping sauce. Ordering is done on an iPad/tablet which makes it very convenient to order more items or call for service while you eat.If you are coming here really hungry during dinner time, make sure to put in a reservation. Even on weekdays they seem to be a bit busy.My only complaint would probably be on seating areas. Especially with larger parties the booth-like seatings are hard to get in and out of especially if you're seated against the wall. The two people seating is much more comfortable and there is a conveyor belt in the middle of the store circling out different menu items while you eat so you can just grab from your seat.

My favorite spot in NOVA for hot pot hands down. I always leave here satisfied by the food. It does get very busy during weekends/evenings and this place doesn't take reservations. So be prepared to wait. It's AYCE for $35/person for dinner. You order on the ipad and the food comes out quick! There's also a conveyor belt that has food items to grab. I love their sauce bar with lots of homemade or build your own concoctions. I also ALWAYS get the tom yum broth every time and it always hits.Service is hit or miss. You would most likely not have much interaction with staff bc everything is done through the ipad. They do come by often to clear plates though.I have noticed that portions are a lot less this last time i have visited. For example; i placed 2 orders of head on shrimps and a total of 3 shrimps came out... I understand the need to stop food waste but FYI.

My favorite Hot Pot restaurant in NOVA!! I love eating here. There is always a good variety of meats, vegetables, and of course noodles! The sauce bar has everything you need to make whatever kind of sauce you want. I also really love that it is AYCE and that they offer free dessert. The service is good, staff is always nice and attentive. Great ambiance for a date or just a nice get together :)

Love Urban Hot Pot. For approximately $35/person for all you can eat dinner (and I think roughly $21/person for lunch), can't beat that price! Service is okay... you don't really interact with staff except for being sat, staff who bring the food out, and getting your check. But with AYCE, that's kinda understood, else, they'd be running crazily around the restaurant. After visiting the sauce bar, where there are recipes for popular sauces (or choose your own adventure and build your own), dinner consisted of 6 friends sitting around the table, each with their own pots that ranged in spice level, as well as one gluten free (which is great the Urban Hot Pot has those options). It was family style when it came to the noodles and meats and vegetables. All in the middle and everyone grabbed what they want. It's worth at least just giving it a try, especially for the price! But make sure your entire part arrives around the same time to be sat!

Self service most of the time with the iPad. Server didn't really help much. The food here is good. But the sauce bar can improve a little. I love their small portions every time cause it does help not to waste food. Soup base was good. Got original and miso. Both were good. Love that their small pots are also split in two soup base. I'd come back cause it's my sisters favorite place.

Urban Hot Pot is my favorite hotpot in the area at least without going to MD. I'd gone to their MD location once and was happy that they opened a VA branch, in Mosaic no less. There is a parking garage closer to Urban Hot Pot where the Barnes and Noble is but you'll realistically be more likely to park by Target and you can justify the walk as furthering your appetite to get your money's worth and extra walking to burn off some calories after. Service is always on point since you can order from the iPad easily and the food/drink come out fast yet when you need a person, they're always attentive and helpful as well. Given it's all you can eat, the broth, veggie, and meat/protein selections are good and I find myself having enough variety while definitely sticking closer to my favorites. The selection at the sauce station doesn't necessarily stand out but they always have the stuff I need and that area is organized nicely and cleanly. I like the darker but more intimate atmosphere of the restaurant a lot, although the layout is a little weird in terms of having to navigate to the bathroom, since it's not an open layout. I have recommended this spot to several friends for hotpot ever since Urban Hot Pot opened their Mosaic branch, especially since I'm not usually trying to go to MD. I've been back many times and intend to return in the future and while it's still colder, it feels even more appropriate to have hotpot with friends.

I have come to this location a couple of times now. The last time I went was by far the best experience I've had. Make sure you call ahead or join the waitlist online since they get really busy for the dinner time. You get an iPad where you order all your food and drinks from and then the staff delivers them to your table. The booths are big and spacious and the restaurant is always clean. They have separate items available only during the dinner time, such as the spicy crawfish which were the highlight of the meal. Their meats and vegetables are always fresh as well. They got everything from brisket, pork belly, fish, to tendon and so much more. Their selection of sauces is pretty standard. They even have a couple of desserts available. For an all you can eat hot pot, the price is not too bad and the quality is good.

Tucked in Mosaic, Urban Hot Pot is an all-you-can-eat spot perfect for two or four! My best friend and I were in the area thrift shopping and were looking for a dinner spot. Having heard of their $34.99 all inclusive hot pot deal, we were both excited to try it out.We were seated very quickly and got right to ordering. You essentially use the iPad menu to order all soup bases, meats, vegetables, and beverages. Not to mention, there is also dessert, tea, and lemon water included in the deal - great additions!I went with the split pot of half Mala Spice and Herbal stews. I personally love my hotpot to be spicy, so I was not disappointed with my choices. My friend and I got to ordering all of our favorite cuts of beef, lamb, tofu, vegetables (including corn - pairs so well with the Mala broth), chicken dumplings, and a standout favorite, marinated shrimp! For all the sauce lovers out there, there is a sauce bar to create your favorite concoctions! I stuck to getting ginger and green onions to liven up my broths. We truly savored each bite and had so much fun with new menu item we incorporated into our individual pots. For dessert, I tried their fruit, ice cream cup, and coconut cake - a great way to finish off the meal. We ensured no food went to waste and left the restaurant with a full stomach and smiles all around! The service was speedy, clean, and friendly. I especially appreciated how the staff was kind and attentive each time they visited our table with new items. It was a busy night, but that did not prevent them from providing excellent customer service. Will 100% be back again!
