Urban Crab Shack

The food was great but the waiter/waitress are not. IDK whats there problem but apparently they need there ears clean. After my meal my grandmother ask for another order to-go but our waitress never showed up. I had to wait so long! one of them dont speak english . I recommand it but make sure you get the male waiters...

WOWOWOW - I'm most disappointed in myself for just checking this spot out.My good girlfriend and I came here for what we thought was going to be a quick hour lunch and yeah okay - that was short lived. We wound up eating up at least 3 hours in this restaurant.The staff was great - bar staff included, even teased us (nicely) when we tried raw oysters for the first time and after, requested them to steam them with their special spicy sauce. Raw was not for us lol, but truly - a great staff with great food.Oysters (cooked) - 5 out of 5. Soup - 5 out of 5. Fried shrimp - 5 out of 5. Entire experience, 5 out of 5!

For our meals we both ordered the urban duo, so we could choose between crab legs or lobster tails. Then below that we could choose corn sauce or spaghetti , and below that you had to choose from the options of crawfish , shrimp , muscles , oysters . after choosing the seasoning and the heat level , my wife asked if she could do double shrimp oppose to e other selections because she is not a fan of crawfish or the oysters and muscles .the waiter came back to the table after placing the order and shared that double shrimp is not an option , he would have to charge us for an entire bag again just for shrimp , he didn't want to do that . Confused , nothing on the menu suggested you could not get two of the same options .the waiter brings out our bags , and to our surprise , no crackers or pickers . I asked , why they don't have the crab tools , found that odd . You serve food that requires you to crack it open , what if I had Dentures and was unable to use my teeth , or what if I have a lack of Strength in my wrist to tare into the hard shell. I wasn't Pleased at all , that's like saying I serve beverages but have no cups . the seasoning I chose Was Cajun and hot , it wasn't hot at all and it was extremely salty , so between the saltiness and the inability to crack open some of the crab legs with my bare hands , I was Turned off and just took the rest of mine to go . My wife chose fire and her seasoning wasn't as salty but definitely not hot at all , they had no cayenne pepper at all (we asked ) . would I return probably not , I hope That my revue can be used to enhance , perhaps some one else found this place better than we did .

Our lunch order consisted of the fried catfish & onion rings, the sampler fried oysters, shrimp and calamariThe food was good ... Kiki was great... it's just the wait time I would go again... just hope the kitchen gets it together

Ordered online. The online ordering needs to be modified to choose wing flavor or write a note. I got lobster, crab legs, shrimp, lemon pepper wings, and the appetizer trio with fried shrimp, fried oysters and calamari. The seafood boil in the bag was ok. The crab legs were the best. The cajun sauce is not that flavorful and i feel like old bay was missing. The lobster was tough, maybe overcooked. The shrimp were decent. Wings were good and the fried shrimp were great! The fried oysters were a little weirdly breaded and just ok. Overall i would go back for the crab legs and try a a different sauce as well as the fried shrimp. In comparison to crab boss around the corner, I would rather go to crab boss for the crab legs, shrimp and better sauce. Will visit again.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Came from Ohio and decided to stop in and try this place since Maryland is known for Seafood. BIG MISTAKE. I should have known there was going to be an issue when the restaurant was empty. From beginning to end the experience was bad. Ordered a peach Hennessy drink that was made incorrectly twice!! Ordered crab cakes that came out burnt and not done. Inside of the crab cake was mushy and not done. Sent those back. Placed my order for two different crab boil bags. They mixed up our seasonings and spice level on both bags. Told them about the mistake kindly and gave them a chance to fix it. The waiter comes out and tells me the cooks told him that we are lying about the mistake. I ask for a manager, who just happened to be watching the entire incident, and never came to check on it. So i told the waiter I would like to pay for my drinks, my two appetizers and leave. The waiter goes in the back and comes back with my SAME CRAB BOIL BAG (opened and not even tied) and tells me that he watched it get made. So not only did he not get the manager but also tried to force me to eat the food after messing up multiple times. I finally had to walk out after the manager said that we could leave without paying.If you like Seafood and crab boils, this is definitely not the place to go. I dont see them being open longer than 6 months.!

The restaurant was open but only one employee. He came out rubbing his eyes like he just woke up. He said he was the only one there, mind you, it was around 2 pm. We left of course.

Very very bad not what I expected. The shrimp was over cooked. The urban sauce was good. No full bar. And the supposedly manager turned bartender is the worse. The guy made a lemon drop with triple and vodka and did not fill the glass. Not coming back

When I saw the coming soon sign and the mention of seafood, I knew this would be a spot I have to try! I finally had the chance to order today and absolutely loved my food. I got the snow crab legs, corn, and potatoes in garlic butter. The crab legs are large sized and the seasoning was perfect, not overpowering at all, just delicious. Eventhough I got my food to go, the interior decoration and cleanliness of the dinning area was beyond great. Plenty of space for adequate distancing and comfortable seating. For years, I have tried the overpriced Crab Boss in Brandywine and can say hands down the Urban Crab Shack wins in taste, quality of food, quality of service, and most importantly price. The location is in the shopping center next to Starbucks. I would certainly recommend !
