Uptowner Cafe

This is my go-to lunch spot! I've had their BLT, gyro, and steak and cheese sandwiches. These hot sandwiches are my favorites because they pack them with meat. I've also had their tuna and Italian sandwich which were not very impressive. The Italian had bologna on it. The service is always fast, but I recommend calling ahead to place your order to avoid the lunch rush.

Cashier guy may not always be the friendliest but I mean you can get a solid sandwich from here and pretty solid pricing. Cute indoor and outdoor seating and also is a small store with snacks and bakery options.

Food was really good! I was pleasantly surprised by the fresh cracked eggs used to make my breakfast sandwich. Service was quick and efficient. It gave off a small convenience store vibes but the food was great

Been here a couple times now and had good experiences. First time was when we got caught in the lunch rush but service was still very quick and efficient. I ordered one of their Turkey based sandwiches which was delicious and filling. They have several options on the menu and allow customizations or dietary accommodations. Recently we stopped here for breakfast and got an egg and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel. Not much seasoning on the egg which made it pretty bland but it was probably one of the cheapest egg and cheese bagels you'll find in DC. It gives off nice local cafe vibes and it's also partially a convenience store for quick snacks and drinks. If you need a quick meal or looking to support a small business this is the place to go!

Convenient little deli in the West End. The prices are reasonable for this part of town for a quick and tasty breakfast and lunch. Love the fact they carry refrigerated Just Ice Peach Oolong tea. The cashiers are helpful too!

Loved this cute little cafe! It was across the street from my hotel in DC. I wish I knew about it day one could have had a delicious affordable breakfast every day.Highly recommend

Great place to grab a breakfast sandwich and coffee. Bagels are as good as you get in DC.

Great little place, cheap, good and fast. While traveling in DC it's tough to find anything closer to reasonable. Week this one does it, two for breakfast with coffee and tip less than$20.00 bucks. Simple but tasty!You order at the counter, get your food and find a seat so service and ambiance really don't apply. However it was very clean.

Convenient. yummy sandwiches, and friendly service. Will visit again when I'm in DC.
