Uptown Cafe

This place is new to me. Recently, I've patronized with no mistake. Every morning, so far I've glad the croissant with egg, cheese, sausage patty and lettuce tomato sandwich. $11 is reasonable. You are greeted before taking your order with a pleasant outcome. The setting of tables are always situated nicely, and are clean as the place is. Yes, I'd sit inside if I had time. Not crowded in the mornings. I have not yet went to see what lunch entails. It's worth a visit.

This is the kind of easy, no frills, pleasant service, good price point, good food, establishment that I, in my non-expert, Yelp Elitist opinion is kind of lacking in key Washington DC neighborhoods. Sometimes you don't need a plant/flower wall or cutting edge espresso makers or vivid artist commissioned works on the wall. Sometimes you just need a grill and somebody behind it making good pancakes and bacon egg and cheese sandwiches. Throw some tabletops in there that someone actually cleans every so often and let the space live and breath. If you want sides and drinks, there's chips, soda, and many of the bottled beverages you'd find in your local service station. Keep it simple and focus and making good food quickly and consistently. Once again, the pancakes are phenomenal. The bacon is good. I asked specific for cheddar cheese to be scrambled into my eggs and you can never miss with that. $11 well spent. I'm glad I found myself over here when the craving for late breakfast hit.

Nice little bodega. Easy to get to & the food was really good. The people behind the counter were amazing & friendly. Got some snacks for my adventure around the city afterwards.

Excellent. Reasonably priced. Good presentation and quality. Nice space but the acoustic seems to increase noise level. The service is great and friendly. Go back often.

This cafe is right next to the NoMa metro station and it has a wide selection of breakfast foods as well as some lunch cuisine. I had the matcha latte which was not too sweet and had the best rich matcha flavor. The people there are so nice and the area inside is always nice. There is also outside seating which is sat under umbrellas.

Located right next to NoMa metro station, Uptown Cafe is like our local Dunkin' Donuts-- unhealthy, delicious, cheap, amazing employees. I didn't feel like cooking and this was the closest breakfast restaurant to give it a try. It was not a disappointment at all, it was extremely delicious. I have gotten two croissants with bacon, cheese, and eggs as well as a homemade fries which costed me nearly $13 including taxes. Could not get any cheaper than that in our neighborhood. The croissant was, ohh! so good! My wife loved hers as well. Also, my wife said this taste is very similar to the coffee she used to go to at her work and it turns out they are the same people. Originally their shop was located in the government building and it was called as "NoMa Cafe." Like many other businesses, Covid-19 negatively effected their business as well and they had to close it. Now they are reopened as Uptown Cafe. Highly recommended!

Paid $40 for two clubs and two breakfast sandwiches. The breakfast sandwich on a croissant was immaculate especially with some hot sauce which they provided on the side. The Turkey club tho had 3 slices of bread I would have like for more tomato or Turkey I took out the center bread fold which was unnecessary Service was quick don't expect customization as others have said it's "no frills" and they mean that you get what you get kind of attitude

Been coming here for about a decade. Quality of staff and food declined. Old owner kept a tight ship. Miss the old days where the staff treated their regulars with respect, offering quality customer service, and attention to detail on your orders.
