I visited from Houston. It's a decent place to grab drinks, food and hookah. We went after arriving fromHouston to DCA. The dj played good songs. I was a little bit pushed back at the fact that I had to get patted between my legs lol. We ordered wings that came with fries for $15.

Well the shots are $9, hookah is solid. Kitchen was super limited but overall ambiance is cute. Was just looking for an affordable hh but wish they drop hh shot prices. At night crowd can build! Monday hh varies upon season and time but im inclined to go anywhere with a special

I have been to Unity many many nights and the food is ALWAYS good!!!! Y'all, I'm not kidding. They might have the best food in DC. Tonight I had BBQ wings and fries. I left no crumbs! The food was that good! I'd you like hookah them this is the place for you! Their hookah is good and adorable! Every where else have less quality shisha for twice the amount!

As the review from the woman (below mine?) states: this place is trash. The customer service is non-existent from the bartender standpoint. Long story short, I received two drinks (During HAPPY HOUR) and an order of 6 pc. wings, for a total of $33.60.... how, Sway? The bill was not itemized so I was unsure of the pricing. When I inquired, a LOT of back and forth and disrespect from the bartender. This caused me to not only break a sweat, but gather my people and exit the premises. I will NEVER return again. Suggestion to mngmt: FIRE the short male bartender with the bad attitude. He may be your family, but he is bad for business. ALSO, include item prices on ALL receipts... ALSO #2, stop selling $8 drinks for "Happy hour". Better luck with other guests!

Worst lounge is DC by far. Very small establishment and unprofessional. My friends and I attempted to go into Unity Lounge on a Friday night. Keep in mind, it was a little past 11pm and they were not charging at the door. The minute we get inside, every "bartender" kept pressing us to buy alcohol or we "could not stay" despite most of my friends buying drinks and purchasing 2, $50 hookahs that are meant for 3 people max. Their security guards were very aggressive and their bartenders were very rude and were talking to me any kind of way. My friend and I were grabbed and kicked out because "We were not buying anything" which was blasphemy because like stated before, my friends bought drinks and hookah. I have never met an establishment that FORCES their customers to drink. Don't go here. So many better lounges on U st that you can enjoy but this one right here? Cut.

Review may change one day. If I had the food, I'm sure it would be 5 stars, but I can't speak on what I don't know. HOWEVER, the service here is great! From the moment you're greeted at the door. Staff is fairly friendly, especially if you're kind to them () Their happy hour doesn't disappoint! $7 casamigo and Hennessy shots... not that I'm pressed for either, perrroo, I wasn't complaining! They're the only spot on this strip ( *disclaimer* the only one THAT I KNOW OF) that puts their top shelf on happy hour. ‍ anywho, the happy hour is cool, hookah is $25 for happy hour. Chavia made sure we were comfortable & our cups were never empty -- until we wanted them to be! Been here a few times before leaving a review. The service today just compelled me to leave my review. Will be returning -- as I have since early 2020.

Great music and IF you know the bartenders then you will get a nice strong drink. Downfall is that the entire bar area smells HORRIBLE. Literally smells like dead mice and mildew. They close late about 2/3 am and the prices are ok

Please make sure to get an itemized receipt first. They will not pay attention and charge your card then ask you to work it out with whoever owes the money via cash app. Very unprofessional! She didn't give me an itemized receipt till I asked for it after she already charged my card. Then said they can't reverse the charge.....LIES!! What POS system can't cancel a transaction. Nice place to turn up but when they're busy make sure to pay attention or you will be charged for 3 extra drinks and a hookah you never had.

Would not recommend. Went to the establishment and a friend who does not drink alcohol was harassed and told they had to purchase alcohol or we all had to leave... wait... what? The manager was not helpful, he said that's the rules. I asked for a refund for all the other drinks we had purchased and we would leave (drinks were 3/4 full). He said because we started drinking it we would not get a refund. Very rude and Unprofessional.

Wasn't impressed with this bar. Was looking for somewhere to celebrate my birthday and came across Unity. Everything was fine, but towards the end of the night I ordered a round of well lemon drop shots for my friends and I and was shocked to see the total came out to almost $70. For five shots. I felt like they were trying to take advantage of me as that was obviously not the well price of any liquor. I will not be back to this bar, I hope they are more honest in the future.
