Union Trust

I'm not really a "go out specifically to drink" kind of person unless there's a special occasion. Since it was my birthday weekend and I was in D.C. I decided why not try this place out, and I'm glad I'm did. Union Trust is a divey bar filled with good drinks at a reasonable price, friendly patrons (I struck up a few nice convos with strangers), and an amazing bartender. Tiesha was very nice and attentive throughout the night. She even wished me a Happy Birthday throughout the evening. I really appreciated her vibe. All in all, I definitely reccomend this spot for a good social night out with few drinks.

This bar saved my night! My crew of broke New Jerseyians made the unfortunate decision to attend a Persian Listening party a few blocks away only to be abandoned by our host! We were left to hover at the edges of this extravagant party which was totally not our vibe. I found Union Trust on Apple Maps and convinced my crew to bail and it was exactly what we needed to fix our sour moods.The booths and bar were large enough to accommodate my party of 12. Bathrooms were pretty clean and the staff was kind. The IPA selection was solid and tasty. We got an order of fries which were solid too. Prices were right and we stayed until closing. Definitely the highlight of the night.

This place is a perfect dive bar. And I mean that in the absolute best way. Beer, liquor, and wine are VERY affordable for DC. The service is one of the best I've had in any bar. Each bartender makes you feel like you're family and they take care to let you enjoy your drink and are there if you need a second (or third, or fourth...) drink.This place is my favorite spot in DC if I just want to relax in a great atmosphere with some great drinks.

Met up with a friend to have a quick drink while in the area. The service was quick and the staff was welcoming. The prices were reasonable, especially for the area. I would say this a no frills, dive bar.

We chose this destination for our wedding after party. The service is great and ambience is laid-back and easy-going. We didn't order food here, but they let us bring our own pizza.

I think just 2$ off per beers and cocktails is not a real happy hour at all!!! I paid $11 pre-tax for a pre-mixed cocktail in happy hour. And also there is absolutely nothing to eat in this place (not even a bag of pretzels to purchase) which is a bummer when you've been drinking.

Good selection of bourbon just a block or so from the White House. Great bartender that night. Cozy place and was able to just sip and enjoy watching part of a game on tv.

Chill vibe. Enough traffic so it's not dead, but not so crowded that you can't hear yourself think. High-quality beer selection and helpful bartenders.
