Adding Umi to my list of sushi delivery spots!After seeing a post on TikTok showcasing the creators sushi delivery I thought it looked pretty damn good. So I gave it a go and loved the rolls I ordered (some more than others.) The rice to fish ratio is perfect and the sushi was fresh and packed neatly. I ordered the yellowtail and scallion roll, the spicy lobster roll and the spicy scallop roll. Of the three, I would pass on the yellowtail roll (a little bland) but the other two rolls were delicious. I loved the spicy lobster roll so much that I ordered it again the next week. I'm glad I've got Umi to add to my sushi delivery rotation!

First off, don't let the photos fool you - check the description - this is a takeout only restaurant. It looks like they used to have sitted tables (pre-Covid?) but no more. However it is worth getting the take out - the sushi was so fresh and delicious! I got the Sushi Deluxe which had Tuna, Salmon, Yellowtail, and White Tuna and a couple of other pieces along with a tuna roll. The roll was good but the star with the nigiri - every bite was fabulous.

Yum!! Ordered the Superman Roll because I saw it on social media and it did not disappoint; the crab was fresh and delicious. Also got the dumplings and they were delicious and crisp! My only complaint (and it's not really a complaint) is that I wish this place had seating. Overall, great sushi!

Horrible experience at this restaurant. Despite no information this, they only do carry out and do not let customers into the restaurant. Their waiting area is a horrifically odious and unpleasant area. The staff were very unkind and seemed shocked that we came to order food at all? It was so bizarre. The food was fine. I liked the scallop scallop avocado roll. The gyoza weren't very good, and the chicken bento was underwhelming with hard rice. I'll never come back here obviously.

Umi is the only place I order sushi takeout from in DC. The fish is always clean and fresh and the lunch special is honestly a great deal. It comes with 2 rolls of your choice and either miso soup or salad. My go to is the salmon avocado roll. The food is ready quick even during lunch rush.

Super impressed with this lunchtime sushi delivery! I ordered the Angry Dragon Roll, salmon roll, salmon and avocado roll and a spicy tuna roll. Each one has fresh rice and fresh fish. I think Umi will be added to my delivery rotation!

This is the very best Japanese place in DC. The chefs are very skilled with their knives and know how to present the fish with great artistry. Their prices are very affordable, especially given the quality. They do a high volume of take out orders and the fish is always fresh. Arigato Uni!!
