Twelve After Twelve

Twelve After Twelve is a multi-level, music-centric lounge. After going up the stairs, there was a colorful floral wall with a neon sign that said "Once Upon a Time" and clock. I liked how the ceilings were decorated with origami cranes and birdcage lights. The female bartenders were dressed for receiving tips. The bar was packed. I liked how the venue had music and a laser show. With our event wristbands, my friends and I had $4 Shamrock Shots. They were pre-mixed and tasted like green apple. You couldn't taste the alcohol.

Great vibe, lots of fun, solid DJs, atleast on Saturday when I went, and three floors to enjoy yourself on with multiple rooms, each with their own thing going and pretty solid sound systems. There were couches/benches along the sides if needed, though they were mostly being used to place coats. The decor was quite fun and the staff was great throughout. The entrance was a bit confusing/unstructured as there were two makeshift lines for the cover to get a band and then a third separate line to enter after getting the band and showing ID. Drinks were decent but definitely a bit pricey, not unexpected though. Would definitely recommend!

The vibes here are pretty good! It was packed but the different areas made it manageable. Each area has its own vibe and music, which is great. The drinks are expensive and there's a cover, but I think this place is great after a good pre-game.

DO NOT GO. My friends and I had our phones stolen. When I went to the apple store the salespeople said "were you at 12 after 12". They had 4 other women come in reporting stolen phones as well. The staff steal phones, turn them off immediately and then sell them on the black market. AVOID at all costs.

The staff here are absolutely amazing. I never knew this place existed since 18th St Lounge closed, but I am happy to see this re-vamped space. the sound system is DOPE and you can experience both EDM and Hip Hop/Top 40 in the same space. I absolutely hate Top 40 but there is something for everyone here, and the decor is beautiful.Will be back, but mostly for the awesome security staff that made this BIPOC woman feel safe, comfortable and most of all WELCOMED!

Typical "doing the bare minimum" DC vibe. Drinks are a ripoff right off the bat. $15+ a water cup of booze. Staff prefer to talk to each other and their friends than help you out. If you're there for a DJ, it'll be fun if you don't mind mixed smoke and a lack of proper ventilation. The sound system sounds pretty good though.

The door ladies are rude and yell at the people that are paying to go in. Yall need to remember that you are still dealing with customers and customer service is important. Don't yell at people because they ask questions. Don't scream and say "get out of my line" when someone asks a question. This was my first time there and I'm definitely NEVER coming back to this place and apparently is an on going issue with racism, homophobia, transphobia... yall need to train your people better before yall lose all of your customers!Also, wear uniform so we know that you work there. Those rude ladies screaming "give me $20 so you can go in or get out of my line seems shady when I have no clue if they even work there.

I do not care if it's new years, if you have a line out the wazoo, you do NOT- I repeat, you do NOT- send a male employee into the women's restroom to "speed" them up. To quote your employee, "Go piss and get OUT." This was my first of many qualms of the night. Mind you, I paid a $40 general admission fee to bring in the new year at this bar. If you are considering spending a new years here, don't. Shame on this establishment. I have never been here before and I will never be returning.

This place did us WRONG. My friend was aggresively dragged out when she was practically sober. Some girl was way too drunk sitting on the couch and then she got up and left. My friend sat on the couch shortly after and they mistook my friend for that girl, and kicked us out. Even after explaining to them that we were fine and it wasn't her almost passed out on the couch. After spending so much money at this place. We will NEVER go back. So wrong.

AVOID THIS PLACE! Commits credit card fraud!I purchased 8 cans of beer here and left a $10 tip ($10 tip to hand me an unopened beer) and authorized a total charge of $99. So yes, I paid $100 for 8 cans of beers and that makes me a moron but this venue really went ahead and charged my credit card $199. When I disputed the charge with my credit card company, 12 after 12 somehow came up with the random charge of $109 as the alleged "correct" charge and refused to provide an accounting of this figure. I tried to call and resolve but the call goes to a mailbox. I had to text and when I asked for an itemized receipt from the unknown text number they didn't respond. I told them I was going to file a complaint for unlawful practices then I get a response that I'm "threatening" them and they wont respond. Please only pay cash here!
