I have great memories of this place because I always take my parents after we shop at the nearby Target or Uniqlo, or if we want to swing by to buy a giant sushi platter for takeout. The service is always great and the food is yummy and hits the spot. For the price, you also get ALOT of food. The inside of the restaurant is cozy, and honestly, this is the place to be during the holidays - something about Christmas music playing over chicken karaage and sashimi is just warm and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Was in the area and decided to stop in for lunch. They have a great variety of lunch specials. We got a bento box and a couple sushi rolls. We started with edamame and gyoza and our bento boxes came with miso soup. The gyoza was the fried version, I preferred steamed/pan seared but they don't make it that way. It was still pretty good and flavor. I really enjoyed the chicken bento box! The teriyaki sauce for the chicken was great. It came with shrimp/veggie tempura and a couple California roll pieces. We also had an eel avocado roll which was good. We decided to try the Hawaiian sunset roll, which was salmon and pineapple with some crunch. It was not good. For some reason the pineapple inside the roll was hard. We sent it back and they were nice about it. I'd definitely come back for the bento box!

This is my family's go-to sushi takeout spot. I've never actually eaten inside of the restaurant but it always looks busy in the evenings. For the price, you get generous portions of sushi and there's something on the menu for everyone. I'm personally a huge fan of the Pink Lady roll. Overall, the quality is consistent and the prices are very reasonable.

Been here a handful of times. It's a decent go to for Japanese bento boxes and sushi at a decent price. Actually, the price is really good for the portion and food always seems to come out in a timely fashion. Quality is consistent and the taste is pretty good. Service is always friendly and the place always looks clean. They have so many sushi options to choose from and there's like 5 or so different bento boxes. There's a variety of items on the menu that caters to everyone's palette and dietary needs.

The place is nice and my waitress was wonderful! I went at around 6 and the place was a bit empty. I am however still on my journey of finding a sushi spot that speaks to me and feels like someplace that I wish to visit often. It's a me thing, not necessarily them... the sushi I ordered was yummy and the sashimi was cut a bit thick for my taste... plus it was freezing cold lol. I understand that refrigeration is of utmost importance but my sashimi was so so cold. I loved--loved the miso soup, slurped it down too quick!! Overall, if you are in the Fairfax area stop in and try this place... prices are cool.

Your no-frills, easy sushi spot, both for takeout and dining in. They have full on holiday lights and don't shy away from singing happy birthday! Free hot sake with Yelp check ins. Friendly and super faat service. Sodas come in cans, no refills, but incredibly affordably priced. They have your typical bento boxes, traditional rolls and specials. You can also pick special combos to save more. Would call as comfort sushi.

Great little sushi spot. My boyfriend and I like to grab our sushi for take out here and we're never disappointed. They make it quickly and it's packaged nicely.

This is my go to casual sushi restaurant! Family owned business that makes very good sushi! I always order the Kenny roll when I go and switch it up with a smaller second roll or some nigiri. They give you a good portion of fish here per nigiri and not too much rice. Great fish quality and always consistent. They have dine-in combos that are a great deal as well. There is always people in there when I go! A sign of a great business with great food!

I ordered the Salmon Combo and my fiance got a california roll with cream cheese and a kabuki roll. I went to pick up the food and got met with a $2 "open price" which was explained as a convenience fee, so they charge you for the pleasure of ordering their subpar food. The portions on their spicy mayo were tiny, only getting about a tea spoon per order. The salmon was bland and had skin attached to it, certainly not what I would expect from a sashimi salmon. The shrimp tempura tasted frozen, and the cream cheese was exceedingly salty. Overall, not the worst sushi I've had but certainly will not be going back. Murasaki Sushi is about 2 miles away, has similar pricing, and is leaps and bounds ahead of Tsunami.Would not recommend. To respond to the response, I know the difference between marbling and skin. Marbling is white and soft in texture, what was on my salmon was silver, tough in texture, and tasted terrible. Don't try to hide your restaurant's mistake behind lies about my understanding of what I ordered. Changing my review to one star, unbelievable.
