We had a Christmas Party at Tony and Joe's. I was very impressed with the four course pre-fixe menu they presented for us. I started with a caesar salad which was good but not great. My second course was roasted brussel sprouts with a dipping sauce. These were amazing. Browned and tender and the sauce was tangy with a kick. For the main course I had a filet that was seared. It was prepared medium well and just about melted in my mouth. To finish i had the key lime tart. It was a revelation. The cheesecake and the chocolate cake desserts both also looked magnificent. You can't go wrong here with deserts. Overall it was a great meal. The water view is also tremendous.

I treated my best friend to dinner on a Tuesday night with a Groupon for a prix fixe menu for two. Unfortunately, the dishes my friend wanted weren't included, so we ended up ordering more than expected.I had the whole fried fish, which was flavorful with the sauce, but it was extremely bony. The side of rice was underwhelming. My friend ordered the crab cakes and enjoyed them, though they didn't quite feel worth the price. The Brussels sprouts were a highlight--perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Caesar salad was decent but could have benefited from a better mix of greens. The standout of the meal, for me, was the key lime pie.The restaurant wasn't busy that night, so I was hoping for a more personalized touch, especially since I had noted my friend's birthday in the reservation. Aside from a verbal "Happy Birthday," there wasn't much acknowledgment. That said, the service was solid--the waitress was attentive, and the bartender was great.Overall, it was an enjoyable night, but I left wishing the food had been more memorable.

I think this place was OK. We shared calamari, which was excellent. Caesar salad was very basic. I had the fried Branzino. The fish was great, but I did not like the eggplant or the rice. And I love eggplant, but this preparation was not good. My husband had cod, stuffed crab. We shared both. Overall, I think the card was a well rounded dish, but the Bronzino itself was very good. There's a great view, although they are doing construction, both and the interior and exterior. Cute holiday decorations. The service was ok.

Quick service. Cod was very tasty, but salmon needed salt. It was cooked beautifully though. We had key lime pie for dessert and it was so creamy; great ending to date night

As a picky eater, I wasn't a fan. There is no basic fish and chips. Service was just okay-- had to ask for a basket of bread. The interior of the restaurant was nice and intimate. Fine for a quick dinner before heading to the movies, but I probably won't be back.

I was grateful that my friend decided to take me to Tony & Joe's for Easter dinner. However, I was disappointed with both the service and atmosphere. My friend wanted to eat outside because the weather was beautiful, but the outside seating I thought would be more upscale for a waterfront restaurant. For our beverage we had the Zacapa Old Fashioned. Surprisingly, they did not offer a smoked version. It was served in a plastic cup and paper straw (awful). To make matters worst, they had regular Maraschino Cherries instead of the Luxardo brand cherries that are used in Old Fashioned drinks. The drink was horrible! When I inquired with our waitress she came back to deliver the bartenders message: "These are the ones we serve at Tony & Joes". The waitress was passive aggressive with her nice/nasty demeanor. It gave off, I don't care and just doing my job.Our Appetizer was good. We had the Ivy City Smokehouse Smoked Fish Board (that is a mouthful). It had Smoked Salmon, Fish dip, cucumber salad with capers, red onions, and fresh tomatoes. It was served with a Horseradish sauce and warm Naan Bread. I asked for crackers for the fish dip. The fish dip was pretty good for Maryland. This is an appetizer that I usually enjoy while in Florida. We shared an entrée which was the Whole Fried Branzino served with Mediterranean - sauteed eggplant, basil, red pepper, jasmine rice, cilantro. The fish was fried perfectly and it was delicious. While I love eggplant, this version was awful. It tasted like teriyaki instead of a Mediterranean sauce. The Jasmine rice was plain but good. The waitress reported us to the manager and he came over to explain and offer us a free dessert. My friend enjoyed the Toffee Cake with Coffee Ice Cream. He said it was yummy.I can scratch this off my bucket list and chalk it up as an experience.

Food was great, service was good. Really enjoyed the fish board!Gave 4 stars because the bathrooms needed some attention. It was really slow, so there is no reason they couldn't have given some attention to the bathrooms.

Right on the Georgetown waterfront and a nice location for drinks and enjoying the night. Service was good, we were there around 9:30pm and sat at the bar, dining area was dark and closed. Not too crowded for a Friday night, but there is inside and outside seating. Bartender was friendly and we were waiting to board a boat, so we didn't have much time and he informed us the hot food may take 20 mins, so we got the jumbo shrimp and jumbo lump crab cocktails which came out quickly. Everything was fresh and cooked well, lacked a bit of flavor and could use a tad of salt, but I guess that's what the lemon wedge and dipping sauce is for. At these prices, you are paying mostly for location and ambiance.

0 stars. This was the WORST service in all of the DMV (which is hard to beat). From management to the server...horrible. Our waters were not refilled once. Our server only came by to take an order. When I spoke to a manager about it, no apology or kindness shown. My boyfriend and I are content creators with a following over 200K. We travel internationally to review food (@ebrown_aa). This was probably the worst experience on our journey thus far. Food and ambiance are amazing! But I will NEVER be back here, or suggest anyone to come.
