Tokyo One Japanese Steak House

Absolutely LOVE this place!!!The food has been great every time I've gone (and I've gone a lot). The sushi is EXTREMELY fresh and even vacuum sealed, to keep it fresh, before being used. They take great care to keep fish at proper temp at all times (I'm picky about my sushi so I've sat and talked to the sushi chefs, at length, several times).Special tip: try 'the Chris Roll'. It has everything good in it and it's huge!

Ok if you need to eat but not a keeper in my opinion. Accessibility is fine as this place sits in a strip mall with plenty of free parking. Once inside, the service is ok and the setting is casual and comfortable. But for me, the food didn't "WOW" me. The salad was slightly soggy and the "hot" miso soup was lukewarm, which made it slightly unpleasant for me. While the chicken yakisoba had plenty of chicken and was a decent size portion, I found it very sweet. Again, if you need to eat, this place is ok. If you're looking to really enjoy the food, then I would consider another place.

The outside didn't seem promising compared the newer businesses around. We were promptly greeted and seated. It wasn't too busy and we were close to the hibachi show. The server was very friendly. She was patient as my toddler was not having it on which booster seat she was going to have. I ordered the Sushi deluxe and it was very good. Good flavors and mostly fresh. Wife had the chicken teriyaki and shrimp tempura roll. It was good enough to come back another time.

Happy New Year 2024 Yelpers! Happy to post my first review for Tokyo One Japanese Steak House. Unfortunately I was not impressed by the food. Although affordable it was not a winner for me. I got the Filet and Chicken Hibachi and was surprised that they added teriyaki to the fried rice. It was not good. The other food was okay but it was saturated in the same sauce so every single item tasted like the sauce they used. The restaurant was empty when I went and yet service was just subpar. I wouldn't go back but anyone wanting this Hibachi experience at an affordable price should try.

If I could give less than one star, I would. We walked in on a not-so-busy night, yet were completely ignored. Our water was not filled once, our food came out 20 minutes apart, and when it came out, it was lukewarm. The squid had a sour smell to it, and when I left it on the plate, the waitress aggressively asked why I didn't eat it. When I asked for the check, she smacked my arm a couple times and asked again. I had to ask 3 separate times for the check for her to listen. Because of this horrible service, I didn't leave a tip, but because of how they acted around us, I had to double check my account to make sure they didn't add one regardless.

I took my family, including with my 6 and 4 year-olds, to try this Hibachi restaurant. While the waiter was nice, our table was too close to the cooking area. Unfortunately, the chef didn't notice the children carefully before starting the fire show, and my children got scare. I had to move them back quickly as the heat was too intense, even for me.As for the food, it was incredibly salty, with far too much soy sauce, salt, and teriyaki sauce added to my steak. I asked for medium rare for steak, but it came out well done. The shrimp was way overcooked, and the chef served it on my plate in a rush, covering my steak with vegetables. When he was cleaning the cooking stove, the chef got too close to my food, causing splatters. The restaurant was nearly empty, but it didn't feel very clean. Overall, I was really disappointed with the food quality and the experience. I definitely won't be returning--not worth the money.

Service: Reservation at 620pm, was seated right away but the waiter didn't come to take our order until 730pm. That's OVER AN HOUR OF WAITING! Ambiance: The restaurant was extremely hot like a sauna. Seems like there were no AC nor circulation. Dirty carpet, dirty bathrooms. Food: was actually good but not worthwhile to come back IMO. Overall I was very disappointed by the incredibly long wait and no service for over an hour. Not even a glass of water while we were waiting and sweating. Will not come back!!

A gem of a place! Four of us went for lunch. Had veggie tempura app, hibachi and sushi lunch specials. All were fabulous and prices reasonable! Service was pretty good too!

This place is such a joke. They advertise lunch specials but tell you they won't honor them, and are only serving dinner at noon. Please go out of business so that a better restaurant can take your spot there.

We have been going here for years. And slowly, the service continues to go down as well as the quality of the food. The vegetables were undercooked. The steak was chewy and rubbery. I don't foresee myself going back for a while if ever.
