This restaurant was overall a great experience. The service was extremely fast and had an overall great environment. I would suggest making a reservation because it can get crowded. I loved seeing all of the families there having fun and enjoying the experience. The food was great and the prices were very fair. The chicken was a little tough and overcooked. The only thing I didn't like about the restaurants were the sauces they offered. I wish they had a sauce that was spicy.

The food isn't bad but the portions? SLIM! Everyone at the table was NOT pleased because the food barely covered the plates. The chef also ran out of food on the grill so started giving skimpy proportions. When someone mentioned this an extra bowl of chicken was added to one guests plate but everyone has an issue. Our chef did no tricks- no flaming onion, no heartbeat, no sake shooting, no tossing of the food? Like what is the point? We came for the experience and literally got none. Really ended up packing up the food and going home because it felt like a waste. Server didn't really care and chef clearly could care less. I would never ever go back to this one. Waste of a cute outfit!

We love Tokyo Japanese Steak House! We started out with the sashimi platter (did not get a picture) and it was fresh and amazing. I ordered the land and sea hibachi combo and my husband ordered the filet, scallop and lobster tail hibachi combo. Everything was fresh and the service was amazing. Our chef was hilarious and friendly!

Best sign of a great restaurant was how many kids were inside. DEFINITELY GOOD FOR KIDS!I love the way the chef made the fried rice here. Not loaded with soy sauce and yum yum sauce. Our plates were loaded with food. You definitely will have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Fast and responsive servers. Chef was amazing too! Open space with adequate air conditioning. First Hibachi restaurant I've been to in the DMV that I wasn't sweating my butt off while eating.

My rating is based on, just the performance of the cook/chef. The food was amazing cooked well and great appetizers. We decided to come here for a small celebration for valentine day weekend and the inside was super cute, intimate and welcoming. It was worth the 20 minute trip from DC. I will be returning just even for causal purposes.

I took one for the team dining at this place. At first glance, I was pleased with my friend's choice for our group supper. However, once seated I was immediately anxious about cleanliness. The hibachi stove had trace rice and whatever else visible from a prior party/day's meal and the baseboards surrounding the floor to ceiling windows were caked with buildup and debris. Our server was a very sweet young lady that was polite and attentive. And the menu was quite extensive. But this place is in need of a deep cleaning if not a complete renovation.

I've been to hibachi spots all over town, but nothing was like my Experience at Tokyo Japanese this past week! I once again committed the cardinal Yelp sin (forgetting to take photos) but it was only because I was having such a great dining experience. The chef's performance at the hibachi grill was not only delicious but also an engaging show, enhancing the evening. The skilled chef's charismatic approach added flair to the preparation of our meal, and he was hilarious! From the kids to adults everyone had a great time! Additionally, the selection of drinks complemented the meal superbly, offering a well-curated beverage menu that added to the enjoyment of the evening.The clean and well-maintained facilities further contributed to a pleasant atmosphere, creating a comfortable environment for patrons to savor their meals. The combination of excellent service, delectable cuisine, and a well-kept setting makes this hibachi restaurant a standout choice.

I ordered using Uber Eats and the order is wrong! It was over $110 and instead of Land and Bay combo my husband got chicken and steak and I paid extra for yum yum sauce and it wasn't included. Pay attention to the orders! It's really unacceptable especially when it's on the receipt stapled to the bag! People are paying a lot and it's your job to get the order correct. Won't be ordering again-
