Ordered delivery from here--glad I did and I'll be back for more very soon!Pork and manchego sandwich: 4 stars. Generous portion of nicely cooked pork and the perfect amount of cheese. The real star was the bread, which was fresh and pillowy. I wish there'd been a little more heat or something tangy to add to the flavors, but overall very good, especially for the price. Could feed two people (or one person twice).Shrimp salad: 5+ stars. Delicious, fresh, good portion, excellent flavors. The brûlée on the goat cheese rubbed off on the box in transit but oh well. I would not be disappointed to find a comparable salad at a white-tablecloth restaurant for twice the price. (Not that I'm suggesting anyone raise the price...)Rice pudding: 5 stars. Nice depth of flavor, and the rice still had some chew to it which is my preference for rice pudding. Also a portion for two easily. My order also came with a Chupa Chups lollipop which is a nice touch.

I decided to check this place out for something different for lunch. The location is cozy with inside and outside tables. The outside tables are well shaded with umbrellas which made a difference on a hot, sunny day. The inside seating consists mostly of high, bar type tables with a few larger low tables. It also functions as a Spanish grocery store which gives one something interesting to look at whilst eating. I tried the pork rib sandwich. It comes with chips. It was a good size and was tasty. It wasn't as spicy as I thought it might be, but still filling. I also tried the tres leches cake which was quite good. The sandwich and chips were served on a plate, however the tres leches was in a to go container from the refrigerator case. I didn't mind this, but the cake was good so there was little chance of any being left over to take with me.They seem to do a fair amount of take out business judging by the number of people who picked up food during my time there. The groceries are authentic Spanish, being actually from Spain. Wines, sweets, desserts, olive oil, main dishes, sausages, paella pans, they have a surprisingly large selection for a small store. I'll be back to buy some items to cook at home. They do have happy hours during the week. They have several different types of house made sangria which I couldn't try as I was on lunch from jury duty alas.Give this place a try if you're in the area.

Excellent spot for lunch and snacks! I ordered their sausage sandwich. It was warm with just the right amount of spice and complimentary sauce. I expected a stiffer bun but it was very soft and perfect. It came with a side of chips. All for about $15. I'm looking forward to coming back to try some of their many other offerings!

Thanks to my web browser, I happened upon this place through a series of links. Simply put, picture the Spanish version of the Italian Store. What a cool little bodega with authentic products from Spain (which I am going back to try). But it was the sandwich that won me over. I got the Serrano ham and Manchego cheese (mollete). Oh Lord, the bread, the anchor of any decent sandwich, was a cross between a Kaiser and Portuguese roll. Outstanding. The staff was really friendly and the service was incredibly fast. I am docking 1 star because I wish this place was here 27 years ago when I worked 4 blocks away and also, selfishly, because I want them to open another place somewhere in the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor.

It feels like I stepped into Spain. Tia Pepa has an European feel. The person behind the counter was so friendly. This time around I picked up spices and olive oil. I hope to try their food the next time around.

I attempted to arrange catering services for our non-profit organization and was initially informed by one of the staff members that they do accept tax-exempt forms. After confirming with my manager, I called back to place the order. To my surprise, the manager at the location appeared to have no knowledge of the order and was quite impolite and unhelpful when I inquired about the tax exemption. He mentioned that his employee had not informed him about the order and recommended that I order from "Taberna del Alabardero" if I wanted a tax exemption, as they were classified as a restaurant, whereas Tia Pepa was considered a store. I asked if the two establishments had a similar menu, and he dismissively replied, "No, you can go online to Tia Pepa and place your order there." This experience fell far short of our expectations in terms of customer service.
