My husband and I stopped in on Jan 25 after we saw a menu online touting a great burger deal for brunch. After sitting down and handed menus we found out that the brunch menu online wasn't accurate to their current offerings. We decided to stay anyway since the food looked like something we would enjoy. Note that several other patrons that were sat after us also noticed and mentioned this to staff. It took about 10 minutes to be greeted and drinks ordered. Our waitress seemed very hesitant and possibly new to service, which is fine, we all start somewhere! My husband orders a bone dry martini. About 5 minutes later the server comes back and says they "are all out of martinis". Confused, my husband points to the bar and the gin bottle on display and asks her to check again. She returns another 5 minutes later and says the bar is out of vermouth. My husband says, "No problem, I don't want the vermouth. The chilled gin and a lemon twist is perfect." She once again leaves to the bar and more time goes by, to which she once again says they cannot make the drink. We're both frustrated and confused by this, as it's the most simple drink ever, but decide to let it go. The FOH manager and also the owner seem to notice the issue and jump in to take over our service and remedy it... The drink that is brought to our table is laughable. We explained once again: chilled gin in a martini glass with a lemon twist. The FOH manager brings a rocks glass with gin and tonic over ice and a lime wedge. It was on the house, so we let it go, but don't understand how we could have been more clear about what we ordered. We practically told them how to make the drink. Several patrons sitting nearby us leaned over to express their shock at how difficult it was for us to order a simple cocktail. Our food took about 45 minutes to arrive but was tasty, and the decor was beautiful. Though the restaurant was playing melancholy instrumentals that brought the energy down. Even with a nearly full dining room it was quiet and you had to whisper to converse to ensure you were respectful of other patrons. It appeared as if most of the staff working that day may have been brand new to the restaurant. The owner was walking around and wasn't doing much to help but was trying to instill a sense of urgency into his servers to clear tables and collect checks after they'd left. The food truly was the only redeeming quality, but we certainly would never return on our next stop into DC.

I stumbled upon this after a 25 mile bike ride where my friend and I were just looking to get a midday beer and snack to celebrate. She's lived here longer than I and had visited an earlier iteration of this place years ago. We were greeted by a sweet bartender from Tunisia who was charming to speak with. I was able to practice some French and talk about culture while she poured us some less expensive than normal beers (already a plus). I also browsed the happy hour offerings during the week and it makes this out of the way location for me look real worthwhile. The food was good. I had the chicken brochette salad though i technically ordered the sandwich...language/listening translation issue. The salad was what I needed (a carbs break) and it was tasty, savory, but a little small on portion with the way that sautéed spinach cooks down. The flavors were good so no major complaints. I will say, that my friend and I noticed a weird dynamic with the demeanor of most every other person working in the establishment; seemingly between staff and management. I'll leave that at that though; draw your own conclusions. I'd pop back in here.

Excellent experience! We came for lunch on a Tuesday. The burger we got were phenomenal! I got the Ventura Highway burger and added Gorgonzola cheese to it, it was cooked to perfection and the meat was literally melting your mouth. Also, it's a huge burger. I got fries for my side and everything came out very quickly. The vibe in this place is just exceptional. Service was great. Bathrooms are up stairs. Parking is not terrible close but it was worth the walk! My friend got the bison burger was on point. Great detail in plating the food. Every bite was blended and tasteful. They do have a full bar and private rooms Great choice!

I dont really like burgers but these burgers I like. I was blown away by the size of the burgers and then the juiciness of the meat. I will definitely be coming here again.

Food was delicious and the environment was awesome. Located right downtown it's a grab place to pop in, sit down, and enjoy a delicious burger or beverage. Our server was always keeping our glasses full and was quick to get our food out. The burgers were delicious and juicy, and the fries went above and beyond. They weren't the greatest burger I've ever had but they still deserve praise. Great restaurant, would try again!

An average, no frills, burger joint in the Georgetown neighborhood. Come here when you need a quick bite between shopping and expect quick service and quality burgers, but not to be amazed. A huge plus is that the burgers are extremely customizable. Chose from among nearly 30 sauce and topping options for the 1/2 pound thunder burger, including Applewood smoked bacon and Gorgonzola bleu cheese. Might be a solid place for a quieter game day experience.

While in Georgetown I was starving and learned that Thunder Burger had a tuna burger! As a pescatarian (and one who doesn't like veggie burgers) I was thrilled! I had my order delivered and I appreciate that they put all my fixings on the side. #LOVEITThe tuna filet was soooo big! It was definitely hanging out the bun but I enjoyed it. With the fixings, it was even better. I truly appreciate this tuna option because these are hard to find. As a result, when people want burgers and yummy fries, I will definitely recommend this spot!

Sat at the bar and was close enough to hear the chaos between the bartender and servers. Lot of irritation with the servers not ringing things in correctly. Behind me, a group of mimosa'd up women who were annoying.Slow service. Fed up staff. Anxiously awaiting when Bar Rescue comes to town.Has a ton of potential and looks pretty cool on the inside, but was disillusioned by the general atmosphere.
