This is a cute little whimsical cafe tucked away in Occoquan. My boyfriend has taken me here on dates a couple of times and it really has become a special spot for me.I love their unique food, and yummy drink options. Most of the staff really make you feel catered to and special.

I've been dying to eat here for a while now and it did not disappoint! Getting there was easy. There's free street parking for up to 4 hours during business hours. The inside is quaint and cozy, it even has a fireplace! It looked like they could accommodate parties of around 8 with putting tables together. There were lots of families with small children there, couples, girly brunch tables. This place is a good vibe for whatever the occasion. Their menu is pretty extensive and had many things I wanted to try. Everyone's plate was clean at the end of our time.. which means the food was delicious! I had the Breakfast Fajita Pita; the steak was perfectly marinated and cooked and the flavors were coming through! My friends and I had delicious peach Bellinis that kept the conversation and laughter going! The staff were super attentive the entire time and were very kind and accommodating. I will definitely be coming back here to try more menu options!

We came here for brunch today for Valentine's Day, and we loved the whole ambiance and the inside. The only thing that was off was the inside smelled like moth balls, I don't know if they've ever been told that before. Waitress seemed pretty busy so we just ordered our food quickly. There was a girl walking around frequently refilling coffees which was nice.Everyone working there is very polite. They have the cutest little individual creamer cups they provide with the coffee. I'm kind of obsessed.I got the traditional French toast. It was delicious. They use Challah bread for it and it was soooo good! Their bacon tasted perfectly crispy with a little bit of chewy.Their potato cakes were ok, I prefer crispy on both sides and a little thinner than what they do.Overall good experience!

What an awesome hidden gem! Tucked down a little walkway is a cozy restaurant.Great spot for brunch or any time of day with lots of options. It is quaint inside, and staff was very friendly.Food was delicious. My goat cheese salad was so tasty but it only had one small dallop of cheese, and I really think it could have used more for the price and the name of the salad. It can be a tad loud when the restaurant is full, so if that isn't your thing, go on off hours. Will for sure be back to try something else next time.

$110 including tip. Appetizer, two mimosas, 2 entrees, dessertQuick service. Could have been because they weren't busy, but quick nonetheless. 9/10The bread with artichoke dip was delicious. Bread could've been a little softer, but it's negligible. 7/10The 10z was a little under cooked on the middle, but good nonetheless. 7/10The potato cake has a soft texture and is seasoned. Not my favorite, but a personal preference. 5/10Brussels Sprouts were low in quantity but very good. 9/10The coconut cake was a good side for 2, but big for 1. It was good. 8/10

Went for brunch the day after Christmas. The entrance is off to the side of the building through steps that take you to a side entrance from the patio. We were told we'd have a 30-45 minute wait. We weren't that hungry after all the Christmas feasting so we put our name on the list. They texted us before 30 minutes. We were then seated in the main room. The interior layout was of a home. Dining areas were also off the sides of the main area. We ordered the Hanger Steak and Eggs, Breakfast Fajita Pita, the Berry Almond Crunch, and the Warm Goat Cheese and Spiced Pecan Salad with a side of bacon. We also ordered coffees. The coffees came out in small cups. I thought we'd be going through several refills. The food came out promptly. My hanger steak was cooked closer to well done than medium as I requested. And it didn't have any charred or grilled flavor. It was more like a broiled flavor. The eggs were nice and soft. The potato cake it came with was tasty as well.My sister's fajita pita came with a lot of meat and a fried egg on top. It looked great. I tasted a bit of her meat and it was flavorful, but a little on the saltier side. My husband thought his salad was ok. He thought his side of bacon was flavorful. My brother-in-law liked his French toast. After seeing pictures of the dish, he was wondering whether the berry syrup would be too much. But he decided that it all worked together well. We had several servers helping out at our table. Our coffees were refilled often and in a timely manner. Overall I think the food was decent. They had a few other dishes that I wouldn't mind trying, like the Shakshouka. Since it's not a far trek and the wait wasn't that long, I'd be willing to return. My husband thought the experience was just ok. I've heard the wait could be pretty long, but not sure if that's still the case these days. While I don't think it's worth a long wait, it's a convenient place to get some decent brunch. Service was efficient.

We're from Fredericksburg and decided we wanted to venture out of our little town and visit somewhere else for our 5 year anniversary brunch. The Secret Garden Cafe was a wonderful experience! We called ahead 15 minutes before to ensure we were able to get outside seating in the garden. We were seated at a quaint two seater table at the end. It was intimate and inviting. Our sever Diana was phenomenal the entire time and very attentive. And the food... OH MY GOODNESS, DELICIOUS. Pictured:Hanger Steak & EggsShrimp & GritsWe will absolutely be back!

For the life of me I don't get the glowing reviews. Crab cake full of filler and over seasoned with a massive bun, greens, the weirdest "coleslaw" I've ever seen a bizarre color and flavor (inedible), and potato chips not worth twenty bucks. Shrimp and grits. Pico was so old the tomatoes had turned to mush the roasted corn that was on the menu for this dish was nothing but corn dumped out of a can. Oily shrimp, at least cooked properly but an underwhelming dish. Service. Waiter was nice. But entire staff could be LOUDLY heard from the pass area with a constant stream of consciousness. We learned about a sister's lactose intolerance, how grandpa used to loudly explain he was Jesus, someone else doesn't want kids yet because "changing poopy diapers is gross" and on and on...For what you charge here I should not hear the staff like this. I expect that at a bar. Manager did at least offer something besides the crab cake. Won't be returning.

Secret Garden Café is the cutest restaurant tucked away in a lovely historic town. The ambiance can't be beat for a date night. Our server was great - kind & attentive. The menu had a lot of variety, and everything was delicious. I highly recommend the potstickers! I ordered my steak medium rare, but it came out medium/medium well. It still tasted delicious. The Brussels sprouts were cooked well, but I asked for a lemon wedge to add a pop of flavor & it enhanced it a lot. Definitely recommend checking out this restaurant!

After you find the Secret spot up the stairs- you will enjoy this quaint restaurant. It was our first time there- but it was very good. The presentations are nice- our food was tasty. The value is great for the region. I can't wait to go back when the weather is nice and sit outside. .
