We went on a Monday night to celebrate a birthday. It was fairly busy but the service was impeccable. Our table was bussed quickly, our water was refilled and we got rounds of drink quickly. We went because we are New Englanders and were looking for a taste of home. We got it from the fried belly clams to the buttered lobster. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly. The only critique would be the North Shore roast beef. A true three way is rare deli sliced beef Theirs was thin cut well done beef not the same. I loved the horseradish sauce instead of mayo. The fries were great.Very Authentic New England Experience.

The Salt Line earns a solid 3.5 to 4 stars from me. The food was good, but it's just shy of being exceptional. My partner and I tried the Parker House Rolls, crispy Brussels sprouts, lobster roll, crispy fish sandwich, and the cranberry blondie. The crispy Brussels sprouts were tasty but could have been elevated with a dash of warm honey. The lobster roll had a perfectly buttered bun, but the lobster itself needed a bit more flavor. Thankfully, Paul, the manager, brought out his "sauce flight," which took the dish to another level. The crispy fish sandwich was well-cooked, but the breading slightly overpowered the fish--still a satisfying dish overall. As for dessert, I stepped out of my comfort zone with the cranberry blondie. It was surprisingly good, though I think it could have been a bit moister. The drinks were a highlight! We had the "Velvet Sidecar" and the "Cherry on My Way." One word: impeccable. Ahmad, the bartender, crafted them perfectly. These cocktails are definitely spirit-forward--bold and not for the faint of heart--but we loved every sip.The service was top-tier. Yumi B., our waitress, was attentive and friendly. Ahmad was superb behind the bar, and Paul, the manager, was personable, relatable, and incredibly welcoming. We'll definitely be back!

My husband and I had a great experience at Salt Line Bethesda tonight. This was our second time at the Bethesda location; we have also been to the Navy Yard location once. Tonight, we ordered the Parker House rolls, a selection of oysters (non-salty for me; salty for my husband), Portuguese Stew for my husband, Lobster Roll (buttered) for me, and Crispy Brussels Sprouts and a bottle of Vermentino to share. Everything was delicious! Each oyster was the perfect amount of salt per what we ordered. The lobster roll might look puny, but comes loaded with lobster and flavor. Even the butter for the rolls was interesting - crab/Old Bay flavored. We finished with a crème brûlée that was the perfect amount of sweetness - the tahini flavor merried with the jam flavor so nicely. Thank you to Paul for the extra special touches and Diana for great service. We will definitely be back!

Really like this place, especially as a pescatarian. The decor is sleek with a nautical vibe.We liked the crab dip- wasn't expecting the chips to be crisps, but they were light and seasoned. The halibut & scallops was delicious- I really liked the broth. The bucatini had a kick (our server warned us), but it was also flavorful. My nojito was a little sweeter than I would've liked, but it was still good. I miss the blueberry icebox pie but I'm sure it's a seasonal item so I'll look for it next summer! Service is also strong- even though they were fairly packed on a Sunday night dinner service, our server checked on us several times and made recommendations.

seafood house ambiance, the aroma of seafood fills the air as soon you enter the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and our waiter was fast and attentive. Shout out to Andrew! The oyster bar menu is updated daily. We decided to try half sweet and half salt oysters. The small size oysters looked like the usual medium sized oysters! They were both delicious The YUZU SAKE BOMB was a great alternative to the usual Bloody Mary oyster shooter. It's absolutely refreshing and it's different that the oyster was still on the shell. BAKED PIMENTO CRAB DIP: loved how they incorporated the crispy shrimp cracker into their. Honestly felt like I was eating chipotle queso dip with crab. HAMACHI CRUDO: too salty. The freshness of the fish was overwhelmed by how salty it was Lobster roll: the roll was sooo buttery delicious and the lobster was sooo fresh. The fries tasted like ocean city's board walk fries: what a nostalgic feeling Honestly this dish alone was vey filling. The BIRD IS THE WORD and VELVET SIDECAR were both aromatic and flavorful I would come back for the oysters, drinks, and lobster roll

Great service, great ambience, OK food. Menu items appear to be too creative mixing flavors that would not be typical that actually do not go together. Texture of dishes draw you in, flavor did not. Great scene good for families and business meetings with OK food.

We've come here a few times now. Love their late night happy hour for some great oyster deals. Oysters were always fresh and the drinks are well made too. I love their blue cheese martini. We've always sat at the bar and the bartenders service were always attentive. Highly recommend for seafood in the area!

The food was not good. I don't have to go back for that reason alone. The service and ambiance was good. It is a fresh oyster spot so it smells a little fishy.

We came here for a large group lunch. For parking, there is a parking garage a block away. The space is spacious and airy, so great for groups. To start off, we had the Baked Pimento Crab Dip ($18), Rockfish Ceviche ($16), and Parker House Rolls ($5). I enjoyed all the appetizers with the baked pimento crab dip being a favorite amongst the table. The chips are a shrimp chip, which keeps it so light and airy. For my main entree, I opted for the Portuguese Stew ($32). I found this a bit lackluster and didn't have too much flavor. I tried some of the Grilled Pork Tenderloin ($27), which was such a small portion of pork --it was more of a salad with a few slices of meat. If you're coming to eat here, I'd stick to the sandwiches instead as those looks way more fulfilling.

I recently spent a Friday night at the salt line with my girlfriend and it was fantastic. I would highly recommended this restaurant as it has excellent food and a great cocktail list. Our exceptional server, Diana, recommended to us the bucatini and clams and fried clam bellies. Both of which were delicious and definitely will be ordered again. I also tried the cherry on my way cocktail which was super tasty and my girlfriend had the Paloma which she enjoyed very much. The service here was perfect and the food memorable ! I definitely will be back
