Was out with GF's on a late Friday evening (around 11pm) and we were just going to find a spot to chill at in Silver Spring.Found garage parking at Silver Spring Metro Station Parking Garage (It's less than a block away from The Republic Garden or Society). 2 hour ParkMobile spots (Monday-Friday 7a-10p) and then Free any other time, including weekends. So we didn't have to pay for parking. Plenty of parking.As we ventured out of the Parking lot, we heard reggae music and saw this place on the corner and stopped in.It was a $20 cover charge to get in. Cash, ApplePay, Cashapp. etc. they take it all to enterPlace was split in 3. You walk in and thru a narrow area where general dining was. The middle section contained the bar and plush seating (where we were) with some TV's. The Back room had the DJ and seating for Hookah.Lounge/Restaurant reminded me of a narrow townhouse but there was still plenty of space to sit/stand/walk aroundPics of the current menu and prices are attached to this review.I had a Blue MF'er to drink and it was small but Strong - only need one. My friends also said their drinks were good and strong tooI didn't get any food, but my friends got the Strew and Jollof Rice and said that was good, along with chicken wings. Food seemed to take a long time to come outThere was a live DJ spinning class early 2000 music, dancehall, and reggae music of today and a bit old. I would absolutely come back for that DJ alone.Around midnight, the place started to fill out a bit more with folks. There were even laser lights and smoke/fog coming out of a machine in the middle room. Pretty chillBar seemed a bit slow and possibly understaffed waitress, but everyone was very helpful and patient. Prepare to pay for food and drinks upfront. We also had to order food and drinks at the barNot sure, if it's any relation to the old Republic Gardens in DC but this venue has been only maybe only a few yearsLeft around 1 and the place started to really jump

Finally made it here! Came out with the crew yesterday on Rum Punch Sunday to celebrate a friend's birthday! It's free before 8 - no RSVP needed. The vibes were good. The decor is cute. Service wasn't bad. Music on point! The drinks are overpriced and just ok. Food is blah. Well I just had the suya and probably the worst I've had. I'm no suya expert but I've had good suya and this wasn't it. Wouldn't get it again. Hookah is available on the back patio. I would possibly come back again to enjoy the music but I won't come hungry!

This food was to die for. So delicious. Ms Grace you are the best. Everyone enjoyed their food. And our waitress SITSOFE was awesome and very polite. This is a beautiful restaurant. I'm glad I came.. So dinner is done now it's time for some Hookah.. Gbedji sitsofe rosalie our waitress was amazing

Went there for an event and had the worst experience. There was supposed to be an extended happy hour and hookah. There was no service from servers. Everyone, even if you were sitting at a table, had to order from the bar. The staff said they did not have enough workers to continue hookah service. Was skipped over multiple times when ordering from the bar. When I did order, the bartender walked away while I was speaking. The promoted specials were not honored. When I finally received my drink, there was a hair in it. When I returned it, instead of an apology, the server just said "it's not mine" and remade the drink. My friend and I ordered one drink, left and vowed never to return again.

What's going on ?? Went there last night and it was closed !! Also, had a water shut off for non payment. I was really looking forward to experiencing this place. 2 stars because the cute iguana painting and the exterior are cute. Hope they can get it together.

3 stars for the DJ fyah Oats. Minus 2 stars for the bartenders that thought I was dumb enough to not look at the menu before I ordered and charged me an extra $5 for fries and shrimp tempura. When I called her out on it she said "oh sorry". It's always your own ppl doing you nasty but I still tipped because you have to understand that once you know better, you do better. ONE LOVE

I tried this place because I got a text on Taco Tuesday that advertised free tacos. So I get here and got the tacos which tasted what they were worth what I paid for ($0). Then I proceeded to order suya and honey bbq wings with fries. It took forever for the wings to come out and the waitress came to tell me that the suya had "just got here" and she didn't know how long it would take. So I had to replace my order with another order of wings. The food itself was okay. But they put the food in little brown to go boxes. Provided no plates, no utensils no ranch etc. I had to ask for all these items and still didn't get them. They need to work on their service for real. It's sad.
