The Renegade

Sunday sports are a big deal and it was great to see a bar full of fans that like the same team as you. Clearly this spot had regulars in attendance. The good seats were all taken by the time I arrived. They have two levels and I was able to snag a balcony view to watch the game but there were not a lot of chairs.I asked for a menu at the bar, but it seemed a little different from the regular menu. The bar tender mentioned that you could order from the regular menu but it may take a while. The egg roll were tasty and I enjoyed the sauce. The brownie was good, just wished they had a caramel sauce instead of the chocolate sauce. I also ordered a mixed drink from the bar menu. It was pretty sad that I didn't even drink the whole thing. I had a great time and can see why locals enjoy coming to the Renegade.

I'm gonna have to leave this as a mid place - unfortunately I was left unimpressed last time I visited and I will return to try again for one more chance in the next few years if they're still around. I remember when they first opened and had a little Café/mini baked items in the morning and it was straight mayhem at night - it didn't last long and the staff were honestly all around weird. The owner and Chef was awesome. Shook his hand, talked about his experience and inspiration for his menu - Huge credit to the guy, but honestly when he introduced me to Shamus dude absolute turn off.I know he's no longer the GM but by golly gee it's just not hitting the right marks at all for me. I like that they did live music and they host events like that Wagamama Hire Event but man I wish I could like them. Bonus points for them I usually hear their name brought up amongst passerby in Arlington so I know the sentiment is it's a great place, so don't worry about my review perhaps it's not for me but you're doing SOMETHING right around here in Clarendon.

Where do I even start with The Renegade? This place is hands down my favorite spot for entertainment in the DMV! From the moment you walk in, you're hit with an atmosphere that feels like home--a place where you and your friends can have a blast and make new friends every single time.Let's talk about the food. OMGGGGG! Freaking AMAZING. The food will make your taste buds sing. Seriously, it's a culinary trip around the world without ever leaving Arlington. Every bite is an explosion of flavors and you'll find yourself craving it until your next visit (especially those dang pretzels, they are sooooooo good).Now, the music. OMG, the music will get you moving! The live bands here are the BEST in the entire DMV area. If you're a fan of live music, this is the place to be. It's an immersive experience that takes your night to a whole new level of fun. And let me tell you--I love the energy here! I can't resist hitting the dance floor every single time.Security is TOP NOTCH, hands down. I feel completely safe there, in fact it is the very best night venue where there's zero riff-raff accepted! And can we take a moment to shout out the incredible staff? Paul is basically the heart and soul of this place--he's always there, making sure everything runs like a well-oiled machine. I secretly wonder if he has a bedroom in the back or something. Then there's Sean, Matt, and Chris, the most amazing bartenders you'll ever meet. They'll mix up the perfect drinks and keep the good vibes flowing all night long.If you're looking for a spot that quickly becomes your go-to for a great time, look no further than The Renegade. Trust me, this place is AMAZING!

Happened upon this place on a Thursday afternoon. We were a bit too early for happy hour but they made an awesome margarita and the beers were cold. Service was good. Ambience is typical bar. Looking forward to next time!

Cool place with live music. More known for the music than than the food. However, I'd say the food was average for a dive bar . Pretzels came out hot, soft on the inside, and the queso had a very nice kick to it. Quesadillas had a nice crunch to them and had a good amount of meat on them. Staff is very down to earth. Tons of drink options.

Hands-down, the best bar in Arlington. The food is amazing, the bartenders are so fun, and the space is great. Want to emphasize how good the food is -- they also have great Latin and country dance nights with live music.

The seats here are not too comfortable, the bartender even said the same thing when we sat down. There was also that old mop smell when we walked in, so this was a passing visit to say the least. Prices for drinks were reasonable and the menu seemed to have great options but I was turned off by the smell and the seating.

Our experience at The Renegade was amazing! We went for a late lunch and we were able to talk with the owner for our entire meal and hear his amazing journey to get to where he is. He even brought us extra menu items to try and to take on the road free of charge! You may be surprised to find a menu that is full of a variety of unique items rather than what some may deem "bar food." Every thing we order exceeded our expectations while remaining budget friendly! During our next visit to Virginia, we will definitely stop by and grab a bite to eat again! Love this place! Great drinks, food, and live music. The bartenders and everyone who works there is so nice!

You won't believe it until you eat here yourself, but this divey bar is easily the best restaurant for its price range in the entire Arlington area. The menu is incredibly diverse, the food is exceptionally well-prepared and played beautifully, and the flavor is just insane. Order anything with the lemongrass beef-- it is such an awesome eating experience. I come to this place all the time and can't recommend it highly enough.
