This was a truly fun and unique experience, especially for Northern VA. 100% reminds me of the Korean convenience stores, where you just grab some food real quick, heat it up, and eat it then and there. They had some Squid Games merch and deals to look out for too!Since this is really just self-serve instant ramen, it's pretty affordable. And if you check out some of their specials, for example, their Squid Games Special, which includes a milk tea, kimbap, ramen, and unlimited toppings for $15, that's a pretty good deal! You can select whatever instant ramen you want, add some sides, toppings, and/or grab a drink. They also serve non-ramen options as well that I hope to try next time! Honestly the perfect spot to grab a quick meal/snack for work lunch or something. There is limited seating, so I don't recommend for large groups!

Finally, a Ramen bar in the DMV! If you've been to Korea or Japan, this is a welcome addition to the area. When you walk in, the first thing you'll notice is the impressive wall of ramen, sorted by spiciness with additional sections for Halal and Vegan selections. Across from the ramen wall are drink and additional snack options. Then you head to the cash register to pay and decide on your toppings ($1 per topping, or unlimited for $3). After you pay, then it's off to the toppings bar and the hot water machines. Be careful not to burn yourself, and if you get an egg, make sure you put it in at the right time. Then, slurp away!It was super-crowded and difficult to find a seat, but the food was great and the experience was great. However, it is a little confusing - so many people entered the Zip from the exit door. But I chalk that up to people now knowing how a ramen bar works - oonce people get the hang of it around here, it'll be a much smoother experience. Definitely going back - you should give it a try! Which ramen is your favorite?

Ramyun.zip in Centreville is a good choice for ramen enthusiasts looking for variety. The restaurant offers an impressive array of ramen options, and the DIY ramen experience is the core selling point. It took me back to the memorable ramen 7-eleven DIY experience along the Han River in Seoul. The prices are reasonable, making it an affordable option for a unique ramen experience. However, while the extensive selection of toppings is a great concept, I felt they didn't enhance the flavors of the ramen as much as I had hoped. Also note that this is mostly a standing spot and finding seating might be difficult.

Cute concept and probably good for people who are interested but not as familiar with where to get ramen. I think it's kinda made to mimic the experience you can get in Korea but at a higher price (which is just due to it being in the states!). It's decorated nicely and I can see the appeal of getting together with some friends where you all want ramen but don't have the same taste

"It's just ramen" Nahh, definitely come AT LEAST once for the vibes.* Price: The ramen prices range from $5.50 to $13, depending on whether you go for the basic ramen or the unlimited toppings plus Gimbap. If you don't do unlimited, toppings are $1 each.* Food: You can't go wrong with ramen! I tried the Bul Jjamppong ramen because I hadn't had it before, but I personally recommend Neoguri and Shin as my go-to favorites. They also offer Halal and vegan ramen options. The Gimbap was okay, nothing too special, and heads up--there's no egg as a topping. (Manifesting it for everyone)* Cleanliness/Setting: The place is super clean and has a nice, aesthetic vibe. They've got cup ramen tables where you stand to eat, but also some chairs along the wall for a more comfortable setting. It's got that chill, comfy vibe.* Service: The setup is pretty much do-it-yourself. You pick your ramen, pay, choose your toppings, and then add the hot water yourself. The owner and cashier were both really friendly and checked in on us, which was a nice touch.

A cool concept and a fun idea to the area! It can definitely have a long term stay! A place for a quick cheap bite if you're out and about. As long as you don't compare it to doing it yourself at home. Fast and easy when you get a burner, if it's packed you'll have a bit of a wait time.

This place is so unique and cool! Think of a choose your own adventure type dining experience. There are so many different types of Ramen to choose from. I like that they were organized by spice level and type. There was an employee available to give you an idea of the process. After choosing your noodles and toppings, you get boil your own ramen. Very cool! The only tip I have is to not press the number button again after the first go around because it will fill your bowl up with water. I was trying to get my noodles to boil longer and accidentally added more water. The restaurant is cute but small, so I can see it being full at times. There are other items on the menu. We wanted to try a boba, but the machine was being cleaned at the time we went. Overall, a very unique dining experience. I will definitely return.

This place is really unique and awesome!! If you just want ramen only then it's fun to come for the experience but the toppings is what makes this place awesome! When I was younger there was a ramen with rice cakes 떡 but they stopped selling it. Being able to come here and get it added in my ramen is fantastic! You walk in and pick a ramyun or ramen. I picked kal guk soo. I got the gimbap combo. In my bowl I added spring onions, several types of fish cakes, rice cakes, bean sprouts, and a raw egg. You take it to the convection heater which adds water and boils it. Be sure to stir! You end up with delicious ramen customized to your taste and desire. Such a great idea! The place is bright and clean with limited seating. The employee was extremely helpful and friendly. Prices are very reasonable and well worth it!! I highly recommend everyone who likes ramen they this!!!

What an interesting concept and I enjoyed the experience, even if it was somewhat stressful. Thankfully, the person who works here, helped fix my faux-pas. 1. Pick your ramen, sorted by spice level, halal, and vegan options.2. Grab your drink.3. Check out and open up your ramen pack and dump everything in.4. Add your toppings. I choose 1, cause I was being cheap. Maybe do 3, and pick your top three. I went with fish cake strips.5. Go over to get your hot water poured, and DO NOT TAKE OFF, which I did 6. Stir while it's bubbling for 4 mins and enjoy! Don't use a plastic fork - mistake #3. Use chopsticks.Overall, it was stressful bc trying to find seats and eat and all, was an experience I was not looking forward to, but I managed.I would prob come back here again, but not anytime soon. I enjoyed the whole experience and for $5.50 basic, $1 topping, it's not too shabby. Could have your own ramen bar at home. But definitely a must try for all people! :)Cons. Not a lot of seating, lots of learning curve.Pro. Experience, look at the video before anything (which we didn't see until we sat and ate).
