The Maple Room

Found my new place! Went a couple of times for dinner and forgot to write a review. Items were delicious. Recently went again, but sat at the bar. Definitely different feel. Loved just hanging out at the bar, trying different drinks and food.Tried Mr.D, which has pineapple flavor. If you like pineapple, you'll enjoy this cocktail.The Barolo wine was just right with our appetizers and fries. The grilled shrimp was so tender, cooked perfectly. Forgot to take a picture of the lamp chop lollipops. Delicious! Perfect size to eat as small bite with drinks. Also got the mussels w/ fries. Both were nice and hot. Not only was the food tasty, the bartender made our evening enjoyable. Very personable and attentive. They say the people make a place great and Fred definitely deserves to be recognized. Will be going back to hear his next suggestions.

Hate to bring it down to a 2 star after a lovely dinner a year ago, but tonight it was definitely a big miss. My husband made a 7:45 reservation for a post Valentine's Day dinner (Feb 25). We arrived at 7:30, however we were not seated until 8:10. There was a loud party taking up half the bar area, we assumed we would be seated in the dining room as we had a reservation, however we were seated in the bar area, in a cramped space near the bar. It was SO loud we could barely hear each other speak. Not the romantic meal we were expecting. Dinner was good, we opted not to have dessert bc it was just too loud! Main highlight was the lovely hostess that handed me a rose on my way out.

Maple room has become a staple for us. We come in for cocktails and dinner at least twice a month. Always solid food. It's a beautiful restaurant with great vibes, music, and service. Things we ordered and loved:We recently went for brunch. The hash browns are nice and buttery. The shrimp and grits were amazing. The eggs were perfectly poached and pillowy, the shrimp was delicious, and I loved the addition of lamb merguez sausage and edamame. The chicken ceaser was also nice.Seafood tower...who can complain about that? Delicious oysters, huge shrimp, and lobster. Yum! The roasted half chicken is one of my faves. It comes with potato puree, Brussels sprouts and chicken jus to top it. I highly recommend this restaurant for brunch and dinner or cocktails. It's a great atmosphere

Gorgeous space, can't believe it used to be Amphora!Went for their happy/social hours at the bar - great deal, so delish!!!Manhattan was perfect, service top notch - loved the experience!

Came with my family and were able to try a large spread of different dishes. Some of the dishes were just ok, but there were some that were great. My favorites were the Crab Cake Tots, Garlic Prawns, and the Lobster Mac and Cheese. You have to get the Creme Brulee Trio that includes a coffee creme brûlée that is absolutely amazing! Service was good as well. Maple room is a beautiful restaurant! They have the lounge area that you can still enjoy your meal, and super cozy! And they have a dining area as well. Everyone is really attentive and nice. The meal was lovely! We started with a salad and pork belly. The pork belly was tender and juicy, the table next to us saw our plate and decided to order it as well. My husband got the steak and the server waited for him to cut into it to ensure the temperature was just right. I was going to order one of the specials, but unfortunately they ran out. I opted for the salmon instead and it was really good! Overall really nice meal, will definitely come back again!

A great option in Vienna once they figure out what they are. Fine dining, steak house, raw bar, lounge, or nice neighborhood restaurant? They haven't figured that out yet. The main dining room makes sense- the bar and lounge area are more confusing. Sit at the bar - you can have the bar or main menu. Sit at a table where you can touch the people at the bar, main menu only. This side of the restaurant is more lounge because of demand, they converted these tables to main (in lounge) dining - this means main dining menu only for you.The food is very good. The entrees were good and the steak was above average. The sides were a bit disappointing - truffle fries ok and the creamed spinach was more like a hot cheese side with little spinach added. The wine menu is well priced and better than average. I struggled with this rating, it is almost a 5 but the menu and prices/value make it a solid 4.4 for me right now.

We tend to prefer nearby places for a last minute dinner date option. We decided to give this place a try, after reading mixed reviews. Upon entering, we were given a tour of seat choices (it was 60%-ish full inside) and we loved that there were different types of seating options (by the swanky bar, cozy and intimate 2-person table, brighter part of the room for larger parties with better accessibility, comfortable booth for a ladies night out, etc.)We picked out seat & overall, here's our take on the first visit.First, service was overall great. There was no wait & just enough check in to make sure we were getting our next orders / drinks in.Food was flavorful & seafood entrees (which we ordered) were of fresh ingredients & delicious. Cocktails were not necessarily a big surprise & interesting but still very pleasant & well balanced. I also loved their wine selections! For those who would only go for 4+ reviews, give this place a try. I did and was very pleasantly surprised and would absolutely go back & recommend to friends.

All around excellent dining experience. We went early yesterday evening and sat in the lounge. We had the option to order from the lounge or main menu. We had a couple of servers helping us, service was very friendly and attentive.The French soup was delicious and a large serving. The steak frites were cooked to the requested temperature (medium) and it was well seasoned and delicious. The chicken dish was tender and juicy, the au jus added an extra layer of flavor. The wine list had a nice variety. Pricing of the meals is on par with other upscale dining in the area. In our experience, the food quality and service meets that expectation as well.I received a lovely surprise of some refreshing mango sorbet to close out our meal for my birthday. Will definitely be back again.

Day two as the opened in a Sunday but then were closed on Monday. Grabbed an early reservation for dinner... Things started out amazing and off to a five star dining experience... but it's still in opening and some kinks need to get worked out... hence I reluctantly have to drop this initial rating to 4 stars!Things started off well with very nice just staff. Appreciated that they took our needs into account on seating. We ended up in a booth overlooking maple avenue. One thing that did become obvious... a two top table just would have been cramped once you order drinks, bread basket, appetizers.... Glad we were in the larger booth! On the other hand if your fluffy the booths are anchored to the wall... so you can't adjust spacing if needed... The featured cocktail list has some intriguing combos. I couldn't resist the The Forager... mushroom bourbon? Smoke???? It was quite nice ... hubby had the Blue Skies and this drink was very refreshing and fun with its changing colors into a purple pink... I forgot to ask what blue magic was. We also ordered a small charcuterie board to share... a lovely platter of three nests, two cheeses, plus olives, peppers, marinated veggies and more! I wasn't a fan of the crostini from the board as the warm bread provided to each table was to me a better accompaniment. The bread was so nice to I'm thinking a cracker option might be better here... hubby was slightly disappointed as he adores blue cheese which we didn't get... it was Brie and another cheese (dang can't remember)... overall a nice board perfect with our drinksOn our mains hubby opted for the filet and mushrooms to go with. He thought if other options but he is watching his carbs do decided to be good... I opted for the truffle gnocchi on the starter area as my main. The filet was perfectly cooked! Plus just the perfect amount of salt to enhance the meat. My gnocchi was a tasty plate but I prefer my gnocchi to have more tooth to them ... these were very soft pillows. On the mushrooms they were very good and served with pearl onions. It was not noted on the menu but the mushrooms are a mix of different types... if I had known that we probably wouldn't have ordered as he tends to really only like button or portobello... but they were tasty! Hubby opted for an off the menu red wine pour they were doing... I only remember the no tannins part and he really enjoyed it.At this point the dining room is quite full and getting loud. Acoustics I think will need to be addressed. It was also obvious that something had to be happening back of house as the wait staff were noticeably missing from the dining rooms. It's only day two so I'm sure these links will get sorted!Hubby finally ordered an after dinner drink... he would face liked a port but not yet available... that Im expecting will get corrected! They had some other options but he opted for a nice scotch! To get honest we were full at this point and wasn't going to do dessert... that said I can't comment on options as this part of the menu was never presented. Yes some intriguing options.... Lovely dining environment... things do add up but was expecting this... overall great staff.... Yes I need to explore this menu! Curious about the curry on the whole branzino as an example!
