This year instead of doing the heavy lifting of cooking, the fam decided to check out the Majestic's Christmas dinner. I had recently been there for a Yelp NOVA event and didn't really get to have the full experience of the restaurant. So I was intrigued to learn that they had a 4 course pre-fixe menu that cost $79 per person. Our menu consisted of the following:-Charcuterie Board- Green Apple Salad- Crab Croquettes - Herb Roasted Leg of Lamb- Roasted Butternut Squash Risotto - Baked Mac & Cheese- Roasted Brussel Sprouts & Sweet Potatoes - Apple Pie - Chocolate Hazelnut TorteThis time around I extremely enjoyed my experience and special shout out to our waiter Bob for spreading the Christmas joy.

Visited The Majestic in Old Town with a party of three on a Friday night, and we had a great experience! We were seated right away, which was a pleasant surprise given the busy evening. The ambiance was spot on--charming, cozy, and perfect for a relaxed evening out.The beverage menu was a standout, offering a nice variety of creative cocktails and a solid selection of wines and spirits. We each tried something different, and everything was well-crafted and delicious. The only reason for not giving a full five stars is that the food menu felt a bit limited. While what we ordered was tasty and well-prepared, it would have been nice to see a few more options.Overall, The Majestic lives up to its name with a warm atmosphere, great drinks, and friendly service. I'd definitely recommend it for a night out in Old Town!

Here's the short of it - less than meh and not worth it. The restaurant is pretty and has a low lit, vintage vibe to it, very cozy. I went with my brother and sister in law for my bday and it was underwhelming and disappointing. The waitress was meh at best, at some points delving into dismissive and rude. She may have dropped by our table 5 times total during our 2 hour dinner. We saw the first piece of food 50 mins after being seated, even though we ordered almost immediately. The food portions are insanely small, especially for what they cost, and frankly - nothing really tasted good. Not bad, just not good. Edible I suppose. We had crab Rangoon (fine), whipped feta dip (not good, texture was terrible), oxtail baklava (bitter and not well balanced), harvest salad and pomegranate salad (both fine), salmon (not cooked properly), lamb chops (the best thing we had) and steak frites (fine). The crème brûlée was truly nasty, with a grainy, curdled texture. I wouldn't return and don't recommend you go.

My spouse and I came here for brunch on New Year's Day and were a bit underwhelmed honestly. We had been for brunch once before and had the most wonderful time! This time though, kind of meh. We ordered a traditional breakfast, the monkey bread, and the brisket omelette. The monkey bread was the standout for sure. It's a must order! The breakfast and omelette were lackluster. The coffee is just okay, but the server kept forgetting little things like cream or butter for the toast. The bacon was also pretty soggy. Despite forgetting a few things, the server was super nice and attentive! Sadly, we probably won't be back for brunch anytime soon.

A group of three of us stopped in for happy hour after work on a Thursday. We were pleasantly surprised to find parking nearby and a seat at the bar when we walked in. The happy hour menu offered a lot of of options from bites to drinks. We shared the stuffed dates, crab, Rangoon, pita and whipped feta and fried artichokes. The stuff dates were out of this world and a must try. The pita was so soft and delicious, they offer you extra if you finish it. I had an old-fashioned. The bartender was quite the mixologist and prepared a delightful cocktail. I can't wait to go back for dinner and try more of their delicious food.

I came here because we wanted to try a new brunch place in Old Town Alexandria and this got some fantastic reviews. I was not disappointed in this quaint, charming, old fashioned diner. Food (5/5): We split the fried chicken biscuit. It was a bit pricey for a sammie, but it was HUGE and it came with a side of a fried egg and some fried fingerling potatoes. We ate half each and took some of the biscuit and the potatoes home. Service (5/5): Max was our kind, attentive server. Nothing to complain about! Ambiance (5/5): I loved the cool, dark old fashioned interior. Such a fabulous find!

First time in this place and I am loving the food! My most favorite is the grilled jumbo shrimp (with zucchini pesto and chili flakes sauce) and the pita slices with whipped feta dip. I would see myself bringing my partner here for a nice good dinner, another excuse to come back. The server was well presented and prepared, always ensure you are getting addressed. So customer service was fantastic. This is an indoor restaurant with bar and for sure anyone who would love to have a drink and bites would love the interior of this place. Also for drinks they offer variety including a pumpkin spiced espresso martini, whiskey pumpkin punch and apple pumpkin cider which was really good. Overall experience was great!

I would give this 5 stars, but the starter and dessert were destroyed. The starter was the burrata. They said they could add GF bread. We figured that meant GF bread on the side and regular bread too - options. No, they just replaced the whole thing with GF which made it inedible for my husband. The main was fantastic. Absolutely no complaints for the main. It was one of the best steaks we've had in Alexandria. The dessert was inedible. The creme brulee looked fantastic when it arrived, but it was so overcooked that it was like jello. It was literally inedible. We were so disappointed with the starter and dessert that it would have ruined the whole night if the steak wasn't so good. We were out celebrating, and we spent well over $200. Very sad starter and dessert and a waste of money for both. Such a letdown. Thank you for making the steak absolutely perfect, though. That was the saving grace. The service was also very quick, but our server definitely needed prompting for things we needed.

Jenna provided stellar service. She made my partner's birthday extra memorable! The burger was outrageously delicious! Our daughter felt these were the best lamb chops of her life. "Whomever made those has been perfecting them their whole life!"
