I really loved stopping by here !I came for trivia night with a party of 6 people total ; they have trivia every Wednesday upstairs. I ordered the crab cake sandwich with jalapeños and tomato added. It came with the option of French fries , sweet potato fries, or a salad. With the option of adding a soup as a side for an additional $2. I opted for the regular fries. When I got my crab cake it was so tasty!! I devoured it IMMEDIATELY because it was 9 pm and I haven't eaten in the last 9 hours lol.Besides the taste, it was certainly 70% filler . But honestly not mad because I paid $20, so, you get what you pay for. It's no jumbo lump crab cake but it's still tasty ! The fries were crispy and delicious. Just wish they added another ketchup for me.I would totally come back because our server was really nice and this place is very historical and cozy looking. Maybe for a date night next time!!Tip: keep in mind that they charge auto gratuity to large parties !

We went to Light Horse for restaurant week and was pleasantly surprised with the food! The stuffed mushrooms were filled with crab and the hush puppies had a yummy sauce on top. My fiancé got the steak which was cooked perfectly. I got the crab cake which came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. For dessert, we enjoyed the cheesecake and crème brulee. Our wait to get a table on a Friday evening was quite long but the front desk kept giving us updates which we appreciated.

Having attended two large group gatherings at this spot in Old Town Alexandria, This establishment is in a rustic historic building and they keep that feel after you walk through the doors into the 1700's. I have been impressed with the bar service and their ability to manage these groups. The food served, buffet style, was a step above slop. This may be the choices made by the host. For example, the Penne in Marianna sauce was way over cooked and was a pasta mush.Thumbs up for service!

Gluten free wings- that are the best EVER!! They make their own spicy sauce and it's decadent! Fries are made from real potatoes and delicious ! Staff tries hard to please and the real candles on the first floor are my favorite part of the ambiance. I wish they had a few more ! Just always a solid choice. Delicious.

We spent a day in Alexandria and wanted a traditional brunch place. While the coffee left something to be desired the pancakes and sausages were delicious!

Nice bar with a lot of seating and great events! Trivia on Wednesdays, live music Saturdays, and football games too! It's a really nice go-to restaurant/bar.

I was walking around Alexandria with my sister and boyfriend and we just happened to stop here for brunch on Saturday. I am so glad we did because our server was super nice and the food was really really good. I got the big breakfast which isn't very hard to mess up in my opinion but they nailed it. The pancakes and syrup were so freaking good and I don't even like pancakes that much. A cute bar and would love to go back in the evening to see what it's like

Get the truffle fries!! Stumbled upon Light Horse looking for beer and a patio in old town, and have already been back within a week because of the food and the vibes! Food: TRUFFLE FRIES ! Will not disappoint! I ordered both times. Also the smoked wings are great, but the ranch and blue cheese steal the show! Homemade in house!! I could drink it! Enjoyed the chicken sandwich and surf and turf kabobs as well! Vibe: Outdoor patio is perfect for the summer weather! Second time I went it was raining so I sat at the bar and still enjoyed the atmosphere. Not too loud, laid back! Service: shoutout to Sean and Kirk! Great service both at the bar and outside! This place always hits the spot. Ali chose this place to watch the commanders game and it was awesome. This is a Bills bar but don't let that deter you. All football fans are welcome. The appetizers were great. Do try their brisket grilled cheese.

Well this was another joint that we did nearly no review prior to visiting but we clearly found a great spot. We had a larger group with us. I think 10 of us. Let's start with service. They did great, even with the larger group. Drinks stayed full and staff was very attentive. Now food. We all enjoyed our meals. But as for the wifey and I. I had the Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger - yum. Perfect as ordered. The wifey had the Brisket Grilled Cheese and tells me it was outstanding. Also perfectly cooked. I should mention the group also had appetizers but sorry folks can't remember all we had - but they were good. We absolutely recommend this place. Go and give it a try. I'm sure you will be happy.
