Great location by the downtown area. We had a business meet and wanted a quiet place. Originally we were to be seated in the main dining room with a bit of background noise. The GM came and seated us in another room at a corner table: so we were pleased. The menus offered a good selection of fish, fowl and steak. We avoided the rotisserie for fear of time delay, and ordered off the main menu. The NY strip was smaller and thinner than I expected. Service was excellent, but the menu left something to be desired.

Located in downtown DC, The Henri is a perfect stop before a performance since it's close to the National Theatre and the Warner Theatre. Walking in, you will see three different spaces for your dining needs. I sat in the comfortable bistro area, decorated with warm earth tones. For a starter, I had the escargot croissant. It was an innovative twist on escargot with a light pastry and delicious celery remoulade underneath. For my main course, I had the mussels served in a light sauce and a side of fries. Our server was helpful and attentive throughout the night. I'd recommend coming here if you're looking for a quality meal ahead of a performance.

The ambiance was solid and the servers were very attentive. The food's presentation was lovely, but lacked execution. I enjoyed the beef cheek purse from the prefixed menu, but the salmon appetizer was chewy and hard to cut with a knife. The Hazelnut mouse was enjoyable. The "Old Friend" cocktail seemed like it had great potential, but lacked body. The location is very convenient to the National Theater and directly across the street from the Warren Theater. Might give it another shot if I'm catching a show.

I highly recommend the Brussels sprouts and salad to start with and share. I personally would not recommend the pate or the croquettes. The mussels were plentiful and almost too many but that's is due to our overload of starters. Great choices to choose from and great flavors.

This is THE spot for happy hour if you are way down town, waiting for a show at the Theater or just want a cool, vibey and friendly bar to hang at. I was waiting for a show at the Warner Theater on a cold winter evening and remembered attending a Yelp event here in mid 2023. A well lit bar area is framed by towering glass windows and views of their wine storage....perfect. Me and 3 friends took over the corner of the chic bar and were greeted with some of the best hospitality I've experienced since before the pandemic. The bar bites were a mix of charbroiled oysters in butter, cauliflower tempura, lamb kebabs and maryland crab (egg) rolls. I don't know what the thread is here except maybe tasty! at under $10 for bites, we effectively ordered one of everything and it acted as our pre-theater dinner (pro-tip, they also have a theater dinner menu to get you in and out before your show). Everything was wonderfully savory, well seasoned and presented beautifully. The open kitchen plan let's you see the magic happening if you so choose and everything came out quickly. The happy hour drinks were also $10 and had the options for wine (two sparklings, two reds, two whites, all excellent regions and years), beer and two cocktails, the Henri and a house cocktail which happened to be a marg that night. Our bartender was Geo and he was amazing (there were actually two that tag teamed). They kept the water and drinks flowing and everything was delicious. I actually was going to initially give this place 4.5 stars but as I wrote this review....I was like...NO...this place is AWESOME! Happy hour winner in Penn Quarter!!

I came here for happy hour with some friends. I really liked the Henri cocktail. It was sweet and strong. The bar snacks I had were also great. The Maryland crab rolls were crispy and delicious. The oysters were also amazing. They tasted really good with the crispy topping and garlic butter. The bartender was also friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a nice ambiance.

Located between two theaters in downtown DC: Warner Theatre and National Theatre. The 3 hours parking validation claimed on the official website turned out to be a joke. We paid the full price anyway because the National Place Parking garage attendant told us that they didn't have any agreement with the restaurant. We booked for an early dinner at 5 pm. We were the only customers so it was pretty quiet. The service was polite, attentive and reserved. The prices were on the higher end. The food was fine. We ordered: 4.5*LAMB MEATBALLS with lentilles du puy salad, cherry tomatoes, whiskey barrel aged soy dressing: good portion and delicious meatballs. 4*ASPARAGUS / flemish style, egg mimosa, italian parsley: very light and healthy.4.5*POTATO - SALMON / crispy potato cake, salmon caviar, sour creme, chives: 4*PEI MUSSELS with white wine, mustard, parsley, shallots, and leeks: light flavor yet good. 4.5*PORCHETTA / grilled broccolini, preserved lemon jus: the pork was crispy and tasty chop.4*HALLOUMI BURGER / heirloom tomato, basil custard, arugula: colorful and appealing presentation, a light entree. 4*ROTISSERIE CHICKEN / chimichurri, roasted baby carrots: decent portion md taste. 4*BELGIAN CHOCOLATE MOUSSE with raw cacao beans and a thin layer of fleur de sel: a small portion of pretty rich chocolate mousse. 3*STRAWBERRY BEIGNET / fried doughnut, lemon sugar: per normal and nothing fancy.

What a fun spot for a little drink and snack! Super vibey whether you're dining in or catching a quick fix. With dim mood lighting, elevated ambiance, and plenty of seats and space - you can enjoy the vibe here in many ways. They've got some inexpensive but super tasty bar snacks and very friendly and fun bartenders who can make you whatever you're in the mood for. They've got an excellent espresso martini, and even some mocktail options! I recommend the tequenos specifically for the yummy avocado creama
