Wow, what an awesome experience at The Hamilton! First time ever visiting and I would absolutely return! My mom and sister came in town so we made a reservation to meet my little cousin here for dinner that lives in D.C. the place was bustling! I was so happy we had a reservation! Every table was filled or being quickly refilled once guests got up. Our waiter, David was great! Very friendly and offered his input on some of the menu selections when we asked. He also did not rush us along, which I appreciate! Let's get to the food though, whewwww! We had 3 different pastas, and a lettuce wrapped burger and salad for my mom who's being a bit carb conscious right now. We also shared some calamari and mozzarella arancini which was almost a fried mozzarella rice ball! Very different and pretty delicious! The portions were great. My only critique was the crab cake was pretty bready. As if I was eating stuffing with it. I'm also from MD which is the home of the crab cake so I'm a bit biased. The place was so beautiful with dimmed lighting and music playing in the background. Although we didn't see a show, it appears The Hamilton has "The Hamilton Live" so if you're able to visit on a night where there's entertainment, even better! Thanks for a great experience, The Hamilton for my family and I.

I dined at the Hamilton for brunch during Valentine's Day weekend. We had a reservation. We were seated in a timely fashion and experienced good customer service here. If you are going try an appetizer from here, I highly recommend the wings with mumbo sauce... omg! Hubby and I are obsessed. The mumbo sauce is so delicious. We asked for a container so we could take what was left back home and our server ended up giving us two to-go containers. I had the French toast as my brunch item. It had caramel and thinly sliced pears and crushed hazelnuts (I think they were hazelnuts). I got the hazelnuts on the side so I didn't eat it with my French toast. The French toast itself was very light and fluffy and cooked to perfection. This dish did come with an excessive amount of butter on top. I ended up using less than half of it. My husband had the shrimp and grits. My shrimp and grits are a looser consistency than we are used to, but the server did let us know that before ordering. My husband still gave it a try. He enjoyed the shrimp but said the grits were just okay. All in all, we would definitely return. We would love to come and check it out whenever they have a live music event.

Great little experience at an iconic DC bar. Super Happy with my time at the Hamilton!I was just buzzing from a jazz show over in Georgetown and I wasn't ready to head back to my hotel just yet, so I took a chance for some final food and drinks for the night and headed over to The Hamilton.Arrived at around 9pm and sat at the bar. The server Brian was super nice and gave me a run down of the company that owns a few other historical bar in the DC. While he explained that the main draw of the Hamilton was the sushi, I perused the menu and grabbed a drink. I opted for the Apple Spiced Sangria, delicious. I'm not always the biggest fan of sangria, but this one was great and different from any other I tried. Think a chilled mulled wine. Perfectly sweet and spicy. After a few sips, I was ready to try the sushi. I got some yellowtail and salmon nigiri. I loved it, it was exactly what I needed. Fresh and delicious. I'm happy they had all the wasabi and ginger I could handle to go along with it.I also tried the Lamb pappardelle. Totally hearty and great to finish off the end of the night. I had a few drinks throughout the night and this was great to fill me for the rest of the night before heading back to my hotel to bed. Cute little visit to The Hamilton! Really loved feeling regal and sitting at an iconic bar in an iconic city.

Me and The Get Fresh Crew (my niece and nephew, lol) always enjoy dining out for the holidays. Thanksgiving 2024 we decided on The Hamilton for an early dinner. My nephew and I started off with Angus cheeseburger sliders as an appetizer. [sooooo good!]I opted for the Thanksgiving entreé which included sliced turkey (light, dark meat), turkey gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, sausage-sage stuffing, cranberry sauce, and green beans. For dessert, I chose apple pie with vanilla ice cream. [not pictured]Since the regular dinner menu was available, The Get Fresh Crew chose steak and French fries.Everything was delicious. The service was great. The ambiance was spectacular and perfect for any occasion. We'll definitely be back soon!__I eat. @f.hux I thrift. @DCthriftish

Parking was a bit confusing but there are plenty of garages in the area. I attended a wedding reception in the private room l. The food was served as a brunch style buffet. The bartender made sure the drinks were flowing! The espresso martini

Had dinner here for the first time, a few days before Christmas. The restaurant was huge, and beautifully decorated. Our server, I believe his name was Luell, was wonderful and very friendly. Service was excellent. All meals were enjoyed, only negative was the cream of crab soup which 3 of us had. It was not as creamy as it should have been, very watery, but the flavor was good. Great spot during the holidays and great location to see the National Christmas tree.

Best part of work trips - finding a new place for a great meal (DUH!, lololol) and this was certainly found at The Hamilton DC.After me and my colleague had a long day of conference, we were eager for a good meal.We made our way through this wild DC traffic - what timing trying to navigate during the Christmas tree lighting (oh my!).We finally made it and walked into Th Hamilton, this place was so unassuming huge!!This was a Thursday and the restaurant was packed. But our service and food was not impacted by the hectic. We were sat in the back room - how fun in decor with all the bird murals and high ceilings! We were greeted warmly by our server, she was pleasantly conversational!Ordered a round of cocktails and put in for the calamari app.The app came out quickly, as a dish with fun touches. It's really the little things that count....Crispy squid and veggies - LOVED the addition of peppers and squash into the fry mix.The most delightful touch was the lemon- in a cloth!!! No seeds please- I am taking this hack with me, yes!!!For entree, I decided (admittedly reluctantly at first), on the Imperial Roll and the Fatty Tuna Nigiri.I am addicted to sushi, so when I find it I usually cannot resist, but I was concerned in the menu at Hamilton having so many other options and not appearing as being sushi specialized. But I dove in and it didn't disappoint.Sushi, a 3.5 of 5 stars. The added oomph for the fatty tuna- melt in your mouth, YUM!!!My colleague got the crab cake- lumps!!!!And truffle fries, exceptional crisp and subtle truffle. The tartar sauce stood out on its own and delicious enough to really just eat.She absolutely enjoyed her meal.As did I!Star food, Star Service, Recommended! Our DC meal was a win - thank you Hamilton!!

Made reservations for a Saturday evening and was seated within 10Minutes of our reservation time. The waiter was friendly and offered recommendations. We started with the fried calamari. It was delicious. Lightly deep fried calamari and peppers paired with an aioliSauce. For dinner, I ordered the fresh homemade pasta dish, lump crab bucatini. There was nice sized crab pieces topped with a creamy Alfredo like sauce. It was also topped with parmigiana cheese.
