This review reflects my experience dining out with celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder that requires me to maintain a diet free of gluten (including cross contact).SERVICE: 4/5 starsDRINKS: 4/5 starsFOOD: 5/5 starsAMBIANCE: 5/5 starsVALUE: 3/5 starsOVERALL RATING: 4.5/5 stars (round up for Yelp rating)Friends and I dined at The Greenhouse on New Year's Eve (using their six-course prix fixe meal for the holiday). Upon arrival, the waiter asked about allergies or preferences of our party. For each course, I was told that my plate was gluten-free; two of the six courses were modified to avoid gluten. When bread was brought to the table, I was given gluten-free toast (and a separate butter plate). For dish modifications, a lamb arancini-like bite was removed from my main-course plate (no substitution, just omitted entirely). For dessert, I was given a separate dish (warm blood orange and ice cream, when my friends received gingerbread baked Alaska). I had one cocktail, a Madras (my usual drink); it was very good.Overall, I was very satisfied by my experience at The Greenhouse. Other than the removal from my main course, I was given the same amount (or equivalent) food as my dining companions. While The Greenhouse is not entirely gluten-free, I felt they took my autoimmune disorder seriously. I did not experience any after-effects from exposure to gluten (including cross contact). I would recommend The Greenhouse to anyone looking for a very special dining experience.

The cutest spot for brunch with the girls! - the ambiance of Greenhouse is classic and upscale, a small but solid menu. I got the chocolate chip banana pancakes, soft and sweet! I also added the chicken sausages on the side. I really loved that they offered multiple protein options as sides. Service was quick and efficient. My favorite part was the little stool for my bag! Overall great option, would come back to try another menu/time.

Terrific service, atmosphere, and food. We were staying at the hotel and came down for breakfast. While a little pricy, the coffees were both delicious. The food was also excellent and meticulously presented. We really enjoyed our time here and look forward to coming back!

This place is so cute! It'd be a perfect venue to host a bridal shower or intimate event. The service is incredible, the plates and silverware were fancy and the food was divine. The Jefferson Eggs Benedict: 9/10. I don't like runny eggs and they accommodated me with hard eggs. The hollandise sauce was a light foam rather than a sauce which was kind of weird but overall tasted good. Make sure to add pepper! Fresh Berry French Toast: 9/10. Not too sweet, light and fluffy. Chicken sausage: 6/10. Nothing special. I added syrup to mine. Toast for the table: 10/10. The sourdough was lightly toasted but still squishy. The assortment of jams were all great!

To celebrate our incredible ten years of marriage, my wife and I decided on the Jefferson. We had initially looked at doing our wedding reception here but ultimately chose another venue. So it was time to revisit this place for our Tin anniversary. Our first stop was at the Quill for cocktails, and then we moved over to the Greenhouse for dinner. Our server was from Jamaica and was excellent. He took care of our gluten-free needs. We had a charcuterie board with 24-month Prosciutto for a fantastic appetizer. My wife had the short ribs, and I had the filet mignon for the main course. Again just perfect. For dessert, I had a chocolate mouse, and my wife cheated on the gluten with a cheesecake. The wine and dessert wine suggestions were spot on. It was a great memorable evening celebrating an extraordinary decade of wedded bliss.

One of the best restaurants I have been to in DC. Perfect location at the Jefferson. Amazing food here whether it is breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The filet for dinner is a favorite. Service is as good as it gets, anywhere.
