Was so excited to finally try the Green Zone after hearing such rave reviews!Popped in for cocktails after dinner. The ambiance is so lively and bustling! There is a great selection of Middle Eastern inspired art throughout the two levels of the bar - all very nice to take in as you explore. We sat on the 2nd floor and were instantly served by the enthusiastic staff. The waiter was very helpful and recommended us the signature Mint Lemonade and the TGZ Vodka Soda. The TGZ was one of the BEST drinks I have ever had! As a lover of fruity/slightly sweet drinks, this was the perfection combination of pineapple foam, a fruity base, and quality vodka. The Mint Lemonade was also incredibly refreshing and had stunning green color! Very well-blended with a slight herbal taste that paired perfectly with the lemonade base. Will 100% be back to get the TGZ and try other drinks/food on their menu!

The ambiance is very very romantic-- perfect for an intimate date night, because it is extremely dark.Cocktails were so so and service was good. I'll be back for the vibe!

I came here on a Saturday at 5:30 pm with my mom and we were able to get seats right away. They have two levels, both levels having a bar, and they have live music upstairs on Friday and Saturday nights. We ordered the mint lemonade and janissary corps, which I believe are their two most popular drinks. They also have a drink called the "fuck Trump punch" which we didn't order this time, lol. They were both delicious, my favorite was the janissary corps. For a bar, they have a pretty large food menu. We ordered the fried halloumi and baklava with clotted cream- both were delicious. My mom said it was some of the best baklava she's had. The service was good, the bartenders were friendly and everything came out fast. This place is always busy, and if you come late at night, there is usually a line to get in.

Love this two-story cocktail bar that has a comfy atmosphere during early evening and transforms into a late night drinking spot with a DJ! The decor is absolutely beautiful as well! So happy we got to try their new HH deal that goes into 8 on weekdays and Saturday, with all day on Sundays! They have an extensive list of cocktails on HH for $12! The Infante and East 8 Hold Up were both tasty and delicious! They have an amazing food menu that's perfect to share as well (not on HH, but def try all of it)! Our standouts were the Pita Chips, Hummus bi Tahina, Labneh with Za'tar, Kubbat Heleb, Batata Harra Fries and Arabic Seasoned Wings! They were all seasoned well and perfect to us! We also tried the Carrots with lemon and sea salt, Fried Halloumi, Lebanese Falafel Wrap, and Chicken Shawarma -- which were all very tasty as well! Don't leave without ordering the signature Mint Lemonade (which has lowered its price to $15 now!) Planning to come back here very soon since everything was amazing! Servers gave great recommendations for what to try and we enjoyed our visit so much!

Came here for drinks with friends. We got there right as they opened and within 20 minutes the place was pretty packed. We tried a number of different cocktails and they were all delicious. My favorite was the mint lemonade with gin. Our server was super helpful for deciding what drinks to order especially since a lot of them contain ingredients we were less familiar with. Great cocktail bar!

I finally visited the Green Zone after hearing so much about it. My friends and I went for happy hour and first of all it's so packed both upstairs and downstairs, there was barely any room to stand and finding a seat was impossible. Definitely get there earlier if you're planning to sit. The happy hour isn't anything special, $2 off cocktails that are overpriced to begin with. My mint lemonade was ok, it was icy instead of smooth which is not my favorite but the taste was very refreshing and light. We did not eat anything, but I have heard that the apps are good. Overall, Green Zone is a cool spot but not the best value for me personally so I doubt I'll be back. I will say though, that it was very cool to see their collection of spirits from all over the world. I've never been to a bar with Guyanese rum on display.

This is an intimate spot for a friendly gathering, however the spacing can get a bit crowded! I got the French fries which were perfect to pair with a fruity drink like their Pisco Sour! I wasn't a fan of the espresso martini, but if you like the taste of strong coffee in your martini you'll like it as they use Turkish coffee in it! I really like the vibe of this bar and want to come back to try more of the bar food and drinks!

This is a fantastic bar! We knew we had to come here once we saw that it was a middle eastern bar and we're so glad we stopped in. It was super busy when we came, but we were able to snag a spot upstairs. The cocktails were very tasty and I really enjoyed trying arak for the first time (I love anise-flavored drinks). We also tried the labneh, boureg, and the shawarma sandwich and they were all delicious; the labneh was a nice compliment to the cocktails and the shawarma was super flavorful and very tasty. Service was very good despite it being so busy and they did a good job of keeping up with everyone. It's a fun bar with great drinks and great food, so we'll definitely be coming back the next time we're in the area!

Came to the green town to meet my friends on a Friday night. It was busy and there was a line to get inside, but luckily there was outdoor seating. For food, we ordered hummus, chicken shawarma, and fries. Everything was really delicious especially the fries the dipping sauce that comes with it is so good. And the drinks are very tasty as well and they offer a wide selection of cocktails. The service was also good as well and very attentive. Definitely swing by if you're in the Adams Morgan area.

This place is very popular and has been recommended to me from a few friends. I went for brunch and can't speak to the cocktails, but the food was some of the worst I've had in recent memory. A very limited menu food-wise and everything was extremely oily, bland, and a textural nightmare (soggy gloop). The decor is fine and the bartenders/servers were friendly, but this was genuinely the first meal in years that I've struggled to get down. Maybe there's a reason that most people seem to be going for the cocktails and sticking to pita and hummus.2 stars because of the servers alone.
