Loved this space for catching up on some work. Lots of seating available along the windows with outlets (!). Food is good - we enjoyed the grilled chicken and fries and tuna melt wrap. People are friendly. They are also on inKind, so use the app to pay (verbally tell the cashier and they'll give you the receipt number to use) and get 20% back in inKind credit for your next purchase. Sadly they recently changed their hours to 8-4pm daily indefinitely per the cashier, unsure why, so we'll have to find a new spot but wanted to leave this review to help the business, hoping they might extend the hours again in the future!

One of my Christmas Eve traditions is to find a local cafe, order a cup of coffee, and just take a few minutes to relax amidst the holiday stress. After scouting out a few places, I landed on The Commons Fooderie.The aesthetics of this cafe were on point (and were one of the reasons why I wanted to come!) There are plenty of places to sit here -- whether you want to work, study, or just enjoy time with friends. The cafe has a variety of food and drinks to choose from. I chose to try a lavender latte with oat milk, as well as a cardamom latte. They were both delicious! I want to come back to try some of their food options as well.Parking was super easy with the conveniently located public garage (2 hours are free).

Thanks to Yelp for leading me to this cute little coffeeshop + deli located off Main Street in Fairfax. My daughter had a doctor's appointment nearby and this was the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat afterwards.The food is giving Korean-owned office cafeteria vibes (IYKYK) and everything we had (sandwiches + quesadilla) came out piping hot and yummy. The pretty chandeliers and soft pink and sky blue aesthetic made it feel more upscale. Their coffee program seems like an after thought, their machine is basically a glorified nespresso maker and I found my drink to be a bit bitter.Lots of students inside due to it's proximity to Mason. Seems like a comfortable place to get some schoolwork or work remotely at.

Pretty average food and I had higher expectations! I tried the Caesar wrap and the lettuce was soggy maybe from the fried chicken. There was hardly any dressing and the extra dressing provided was super vinegary and tasted off. I also tried the tomato soup which was again just okay and was definitely missing something. I wouldn't order from here again unfortunately.

Absolutely love this spot for a quick grab to eat, drink coffee, and/or sit and work!It's pretty spacious with a lot of seating and has lots of natural light coming in (plus windows to people watch!)I got a hot chai, as well as their breakfast sandwich with bacon and both were awesome :)Can't wait to return next time!

Ordered carryout thinking it was easy to park. It was easy to get in and out of parking garage..and free. Overall the salad was good, chicken and mushrooms were warm..recently cooked. Tasted good as well. Some of the lettuce, looked less than to be desired, i was able to pick out and toss. Young lady at front counter was very cheerful and quick. Thank You

It's a beautiful cafe/fooderie in the heart of Fairfax downtown. The atmosphere is very open and beautiful!If I was a Mason student... I would study here constantly. They have beautiful counter seating as well as lots of tables. The place is immaculately clean... makes you just feel happy to be where there is a lot of sunshine from big bright windows.The food is ok... but the coffee is delicious. I think they use great espresso beans! I got the americano and loved it!

Ive passed by this establishment many times without even realizing what was inside. There is a good amount of seating and the vibe inside is very modern and cute! There are many food options along with a diverse beverage menu ranging from refreshers/ teas to lattes. They also have lemonades coming to their menu soon.I ordered a large iced americano and I believe it had 4 shots of espresso. I would give it a 7.6/10 but next time I want to try their lavender latte. The mushroom melt was surprisingly delicious. I am not vegetarian but for some reason it really stood out to me and I was pleased with my choice. It had a nice portion of mushrooms and a yummy spicy mayo. Side options are side salad or regular/ old bay chips. It got busy when I arrived around 12:30 and near empty by time I left around 4:30. Good place to sit down and get some work done.

A nice spot to do your school work or to hang out in a relaxed environment. Parking here is free but they have a two hour limit, though I honestly think that's enough time to do what you came out here for. I think the decor is nice but it's also nothing too crazy either. There's screens next to the counter that has the full menu, just FYI. I came here mid afternoon wanting to try something new. I ended up getting the iced latte and the crispy chicken wrap to try out as a small lunch.The Iced Latte, it's not too strong nor it's not too sweet either. With ice it's a lot more diluted but good if you want coffee but enough to keep you going post morning.The Crispy Chicken Wrap was actually pretty good. It was almost like a burrito in how it was presented. Crispy Chicken, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Red Onions with Honey Mustard with every bite made it delectable and worth getting. I think the wrap is great if you don't want something heavy. I think I should have gotten ranch to see if it'd enhanced the flavors of the wrap. I also got fries too and honestly I just wanted my potato fix for the day. Crispy, fresh out of the fryer, great as is but when paired with salt, it's even more amazing.I didn't stay here too long but I think it's great to come here to get some work done. Students in GMU would definitely frequent this place a lot.

The food is good for a quick bite and the atmosphere is nice. Enjoyed my latte. Felt like it was a little overpriced for food portion and self service. I think condiment accessibility could be improved. I paid $5 for a side of fries and had to rip about 5 small ketchup packets for five small squirts of ketchup.
