The service was super fast and the sit down portion of the restaurant was very cozy and nicely heated against the winter cold. The food was very flavorful and delicious. I got the Thai tea which was very light and made fresh. We went during lunch hours so they had a great lunch special going so the cost was super affordable. I highly recommend if you want a nice sit down or carry out comfort meal!

Thai Peppers in Del Ray has been a place in this gal's heart for more than a decade. Everything between the panang to pad thai, the appetizers (crispy tofu and spring rolls), and som tum... a happy belly every single time. Simple meal, a 2nd floor quiet loft, even on a rainy cold evening, their offerings and warm welcome will set your cravings on fire and sure to satisfy to the last morsel. Glad to see they've waived the years and continue to tribute the area and expand to other locations. A testimony to the local gem they truly are. No fancy here, just honest to goodness meal that will take you to Khao San, Bangkok, and back. Aroi!

It's been a while since I ate here so this review will be a bit sparse. What we got:Tom-Kha soup - 3 or 4* this is my favourite Thai dish and one I have to try and every Thai restaurant. I remember it hit the spot but I can't recall why. And for that matter I'd order it again and update my review so I could recall my real impressions. I do remember not being impressed by the chicken, but that's alright.Gang-Karee (Yellow Curry) - 4* I want to say I got it a little spicy and it was tasty. The chicken was the same as the chicken in the Tom-Kha, so not super delicious but what I'd expect from a takeout place. It wouldn't prohibit me from ordering the chicken again.

There are some negative reviews but I don't understand why. As someone that lived in Southeast Asia, I can honestly say that the food at Thai Peppers is top notch. I ordered the Beef Drunken Noodles and the ratio of beef to noodle is superb. If you want a more full bodied flavor, consider going at a minimum of "hot" or "very hot" (trust me, very manageable spice level). What resonated the most with me was how adorable the business owners were. I love being able to do my part supporting small businesses.

There food is amazing and for a great price. You can get it delivered as well. I got the basil rice with chicken, I ordered over the phone and they came within the next 30 minutes with hot and fresh food!

Always good! Can't go wrong with any red or green curry with appetizer spring rolls. Not too spicy but plenty of kick and flavor. Consistently ready when ordered for pickup. Neighborhood favorite!

I wanted to like this place but unfortunately I won't be back. My panang curry had zero vegetables. Maybe this is a regional thing (I'm from Hawaii and we have AMAZING Thai food) but this was super disappointing. I've never had a panang curry that was just chicken in broth. I'm also used to having enough to save some broth to cook veggies in for leftovers. Again, maybe this is a regional thing but the portion was tiny. I understand that food costs are high but the DMV is no more expensive than Honolulu. My husband's pineapple fried rice was fine. It was pricey for the serving size but it was fine, nothing to write home about.

Had two vegetarian entrees. One was described as a tofu dish...there were literally four pieces of tofu in it. My daughter's had more and wasn't a tofu dish. The rice and entrees came on the same plate, presumably to fill up the plate, bc the entrees' serving sizes weren't up for the job. Small portions and bland Thai.
