Teddy & The Bully Bar

Teddy and The Bully Bar is a favorite when I'm in DC as the restaurant has a great ambiance. The service is also great and the restaurant has a very comfortable vibe, with the tables well spaced and comfortable seating. Great place to meet friends or have an after work get together.A menu staple is the corn bread appetizer, served in a mini cast iron skillet. They also have excellent cocktails that are not overly expensive.

This is a lovely place that's rights there wrongs. So our waiter was lovely that was dedicated to making everything better. Yet our food all came out at vastly different times which makes for awkward brunch vibes. I am talking 10 min difference but manager came by to fix it and offered us all free waffles. So they knew they messed up. Four dishes we ordered were just not good for lack of better word. Shrimp and grits was ridiculously fishy tasting, as if the shrimp was old. Mac and cheese was bland and not coating the pasta. The hash was a gooey mess. Beautiful spot but a big ehhh with side of not visiting again

The food was decent but took a long time to come out. In my opinion, the service was really slow too. It was often difficult to flag someone down for assistance or even for the check. As for the restaurant's decor, this was really cute. Bathrooms are slightly outdated though. Would be willing to come back another time but it wasn't my favorite spot.

We made a reservation for 5:30pm on a Friday night and basically had the entire sit-down portion of the restaurant to ourselves, besides a happy hour group in the bar area. The food was delicious, came out quickly, and had quirky names after Teddy Roosevelt themes. The price point is a bit high in my opinion for the portions that we easily finished/no leftovers.

Went here for Saturday brunch. Out server was James and he was amazing!! He was so attentive and so professional and so helpful! The sweet potato risotto was outstanding!! The California omelette was great! For the record, the vegetables are INSIDE the omelette... not in the side. It was so yummy!!

I came here for lunch with three colleagues, and opted for the roasted salmon with caramelized shallots and potatoes. And... I was unimpressed. The salmon was dry, the potatoes were luke warm. For the $31 plate price, I was expecting more. That said the interior decoration of teddy & the bully bar is quite unique - and very intriguing. The indoor space in the front on the left is bright and spacious, while the high tables and bar area are quite dim. The waiter was very accomodating and quick to serve us, but the food just wasn't quite it for me.

They had an expansive selection of restaurant week items on the menu. Nice ambiance Different rooms and a patio to choose from. The food came out fast and the servers were very attentive. I would definitely come back

As soon as I walked in the first thing i noticed was how nice the place was. The hostess was really nice and very accommodating as I was the first person in my party to arrive. I was able to sit at the bar and have a couple of mimosas while I waited. The guava mimosa was just ok and the mango was pretty decent. The brunch is $60 to include unlimited mimosas, unlimited mains and starters on the menu, and the omelet and waffle station. That's a pretty great deal. I tried the fish taco(salmon). Nothing special but others loved it. The Brussel sprouts were good, the Mac n cheese was blah. My omelet was really good and I topped It with the lamb that came with the benedict. The DJ was definitely cranking out some bangers which made the brunch even more appealing. Outside of the waiter overcharging us when we split the bill, everything went well and I will be back.

Perfect spot for a business lunch! I brought a customer here for a mid-Friday lunch and it was a treat! The restaurant is clean, bright and decorated well. It is the perfect balance of a nice restaurant but not overly fancy. The menu has a lot of options ranging from fresh entree salads, to soups, to sandwiches to heartier entrees like pastas and meats. Options for everyone! I also found the prices to be reasonable and the staff extremely personable and attentive.I ended up getting the Tuna Salad. I wasn't overly hungry, so it was the perfect size. The tuna was cooked to perfection and the salad was dressed well. Would order again!

I came with my work colleagues since they had been here a couple of times. The service was professional and the waiter was direct with which food order to go with. The space was really classy for lunch a spot, which I like. The food is not that great as it is overpriced and lack of seasoning. I got the steak and frites, where the steak was good but the fries were too salty for me.
