It was so amazing to have this right across from the air and space museum. Amazing start to a great trip. We got so excited that Washington has such amazing food and people were wrong about this place until we went to the next location based on crazy good 1500+ reviews and had our worst experience to date!!!! Ahhh. Still dreaming of their extra crispy fries and that friendly demeanor of the guy working the truck!!

All I can say is wow, this place really rocks. I'm on a mission to find the best chicken and rice food truck in DC and this is definitely a top contender. What sets this truck apart from other trucks is that their platters are restaurant quality made with premium ingredients. The chicken is breast meat, grilled to perfection with a great smoky flavor. Their sides are well stacked with veggies, a stuffed grape leaf (delicious as well), and a slice of feta. Side note... their feta tasted awesome, unlike other trucks that put crumbs they give an entire slice that was super fresh. The Lamb is standard, probably the only knock. Their white sauce is thick and not watery... I'm very happy they use the traditional smoked chili as their hot sauce (you do have the option for Sriracha). The hot sauce really reminds me of the NYC carts (a tad less spicy). They offer toppings of banana peppers and pickles (weird I know!) and finished off with half a lime for you to drizzle. Overall this is one of the best Middle East food trucks in D.C. period... definitely worth a visit and if it's driving away then chase it down and get a combo platter.

I think I finally found the best food truck in D.C. Stopped by here a few weeks ago and ordered a chicken kabob salad. Tons of succulent chicken breast that was flavored very well. Salad was very fresh as well. A huge portion of food and the service was very friendly. Highly highly recommend.

The food is okay. It's clean, generally healthy, nice portions and friendly staff. But nothing more, and for a food truck that calls itself "Taste of Persia" and offers food from what I would consider to be the tastiest cuisine in the world, you would expect better. The Falafel is okay, a little too dry but nothing like the disastrous falafel balls served in most Middle eastern food businesses across the city, the vegetables are fresh. But it's it's just not great, the rice is nothing like the real amazing rice dishes you would taste in good Persian restaurants for example. It's a shame, because I had the feeling that the owners could make better food if they wanted to. Looking at some of the other reviews here, it may just be the costumers standard fault.

Ordered the chicken over rice and it was delicious!! They give you a choice between saffron rice or lentil rice. I chose the lentil rice and it was a good decision. The full entree included chicken over rice, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, carrot pieces, banana peppers, bay leaf, taziki sauceand siracha by choice.

Saw the food truck near the smithsonian national air and space museum. Ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and the falafel sandwich. Loaded with tons of flavor. Both portions were generous and fresh. Very good for a resturaunt let alone a food truck. The service was great too, very friendly and even gave a complimentary soda. I have to find the truck again and try more items on the menu. Highly recommend to try this if you see him.

I was looking forward to trying this spot based on all the good reviews. I was let down. Two big reasons:1) No efficiency. There was one dude working in the entire truck. Both taking orders and cooking. I've never seen this before, there are at least two people working, one taking orders, one cooking. What resulted was one dude taking like 8 orders, then stopping taking orders and started cooking. I ended up waiting for 20-30 minutes, hungry, in the line of food truck generator fumes, for my order with the rest of disgruntled customers. By the time I got back, the rest of my group (they went to other trucks) were done eating...2) My order was wrong. I ordered a not-spicy chicken gyro with no sauce. I got a spicy lamb gyro smothered in sauce. This was an utter waste of my time, and the order was wrong. I will not be back, and I'd encourage others to try one of the many other Halal trucks in the mall that have their act together.
