We had not intended to enjoy dim sum, but it turned out to be a delightful surprise. As my husband and I entered, we were unaware that Taste of Hong Kong serves dim sum on weekends. Upon arrival, we were greeted by push carts brimming with a diverse selection of dim sum. We found it hard to resist selecting our favorites. The service was exceptional even though the restaurant had a quiet number of customers dining in and ordering takeout. Each dish was served warm and freshly prepared, bursting with flavor. Additionally, we ordered some entrée dishes, which were seasoned perfectly and showcased an authentic style.Taste of Hong Kong is definitely bringing their reputation up after a long period of time. Would love to go back there again!

We always stop by Taste of Hong Kong for quick Cantonese food whenever we are up in Northern Virginia. Typically, we eat there for dine in, but we picked up an order of white cut chicken and salt and pepper pork chops; however, the food was a little colder than usual - granted we did pick it up 30 minutes after we placed the to-go order. The pork chops were quite overcooked - though the flavor was still good in my opinion. Regardless, heated up - the food was not bad. All together, the food came out to be $38 after tax. The only qualm we had was that there was only one white rice that came with these two orders (I believe the chicken does not come with a side of rice).

Steak of Hong Kong 5/5 so much flavor and nicely medium rare cook super beefy enjoy with brown sauce and white rice wonton soup 4/5 yummy soothing but broth a tad bit saltySeafood fried rice 4/5 - good so much shrimp and scallop . Can use a tad bit more flavor and white pepper but I can see a lot of peoples like it because it easy and comforting and kids would love it if they like shrimp

Before a flight, we had dinner at Taste of Hong Kong. The staff were attentive and hospitable. Our party shared Minced Beef Soup, Sauteed Fish Filet with Yellow Leek, Chive Blossoms and Veggies with Black Bean Sauce, Wonton Soup, Stir Fried Snow Pea Leaves, Mongolian Beef with Onions, and Sautéed Silver Fish, Dried Squid, Jumbo Shrimp with Yellow Leeks, Chive Blossoms and Taro with XO Sauce. Everything was delicious. My favorite dish was Mongolian Beef with Onions. It paired nicely with white rice!

I am sorry to report that this was by far one of the worst meals I have had in awhile. I ordered shrimp wonton noodle soup. The shrimp wonton wasn't all the way cooked and it had a sour off putting taste to it. The noodles were not cooked all the way and tasted hard and crunchy. The soup was tepid and hardly had any flavor or saltiness to it. For a $16 meal, I expected better especially given how meager the portion was. There was exactly 5 wontons in the soup. Very disappointed and will not be returning.

The waiter was great. The ambiance was just ok . I feel they could put a little more effort in decorating . The menu was sticky needed cleaning. I asked for soda and received a can with ice. I know most Chinese restaurants serve can but just not a fan . I ordered the Hot&Sour soup was good. I ordered the Triple Delight spicy and it was sweet. So I only have a 3 star not sure I would recommend this place knowing others much better.

Gotta say I was a little dissapointed with this place. This place boasts of fresh dim sum dishes, however, half of the dim sum I chose came cold. I had ordered the crispy shrimp cake, dim sum, and was looking forward to it. Not only was it cold, it was not crispy. When I asked them to return it and bring me a fresh one, they simply refried the one that I had, and brought it back. I really wanted to like this place, but will not be going back.

Was craving some dim sum and decided to try this place out with a few friends on a Thursday night. Was hoping to have a good experience, but was disappointed. The Food: The food quality was underwhelming. Ordered some Shumai, Har Gow, Crab balls and turnip cakes as the dim sum dishes. The dim sum menu was limited though, rightfully so since it wasn't peak dim sum hours I guess. Also, ordered some Beef and Broccoli, Fried Pork and Garlic String Beans. Dim sum dishes were decent, came out hot and nicely cooked. The Entree's were a let down. The quality of the food lacked flavor and warmth. And it was all portioned very small.The Service: Service was good. Staff were friendly and very on top with getting orders brought out fast. Lacked on some things here and there like water refills, but overall decent.The Atmosphere: The place was nicely decorated. Standard Chinese cuisine decoration and aesthetic. Fill with round tables for large groups and spacious. Overall, a 3/5. Food was poorly portioned, for how pricey it was. And, the overall quality of the food was poor. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back.

I spent over $100 for large order of Dim sums for take away. The restaurant staff put the plastic sauce containers together inside the dim sum foam containers (right on top of the very hot food). The plastic sauce containers were melted thru the food when I got home. Very very very disappointed!!!
