Taqueria El Korita

Had a hankering for some tacos tonight, looked on Yelp, and what do you know? There's one a few blocks away! Delicious, authentic tacos and nice, friendly owners. Very convenient too. I tried 3 different tacos @ 2 bucks each: lengua, cabeza, and pollo. All delicious and put together with love :)It's cash only, but there's an ATM right across the street on Gunners Branch (take the side road to cross GB, not Frederick Ave.). I love hidden gems like this, but I have to Yelp about it, since I want these guys to be around for a long time. This will be my go-to taco place from now on!

They are open late, 1am -ish depending on the weather and the demand. The food is cooked fresh, and they do not skimp on ingredients. I was really surprised with how good it all was. Some would expect a negative intestinal reaction to a roadside taco stand in the back of a pickup, but quite the contrary. My system has embraced it, a burrito the size of a newborn, and like that new life, adores it. I frequently find it difficult to find fault in restaurants. I met two hard working people who put their heart and soul into creating wonderful food. It is to be commended.

$20 got us 4 tacos 2 tamales and a carne asada quesadilla. It was great. The quesadilla especially was excellent and had a hint of garlic which is an unusual twist on the recipe. The red salsa was good. Staff was friendly. A lady was also selling elote loco nearby.

So good! I'm not the one to eat street truck food, but this! I can make a exception! They offer the best fresh Mexican tacos, tamales, burritos and tortas. They also serve really good hot chocolate when it's cold outside. The guy on the truck is very nice and his partner cooks pretty fast. Give them a try! Help me bribe them to come and open up a truck here in Frederick for all days of the week!!

This taco truck is not closed. I was just there. Delicious tacos and great salsa. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for authentic tacos in the Germantown area.

I'm not completely sure if it is the same truck, but there is a taqueria el korita truck in Frederick, MD Fri-Sun and they have exactly the same menu as the one shown in one of the yelp photos. Anyone else been here? The tacos were fresh and delicious. Definitely going back!

Love this place!!.. The tacos are the best and more authentic you can find in Gaithersburg!!... I highly recommend it!

I love coming here. It's probably the most authentic Mexican food I've ever had. I live close by and drive past it often and there's always lots of people there getting food, so it's very popular. It's small, operated out of a trailer run by a man and his wife. They're always very friendly, and it's also nice having my food cooked right in front of me. The only thing I don't like about this place is that because it's a trailer in a parking lot in front of a liquor store, they don't have a very consistent schedule so I just have to get food there when I can.

After watching the Great Foodtruck Race on TV I've been dying to give a foodtruck a shot. I gave this one in particular a shot because you can't mess up tacos. Boy was I right. What delicious tacos! I had some carne asada tacos and chicken tacos. Both were absolutely delicious full of flavor and spicy! I'm sure you can ask them to put the spicy on the side if you're not a fan of spicy. The portion is great on two tortillas the amount they put on it is so worth it. I will be back! Heads up bring cash!

Hands down the best Mexican food in Frederick and very affordable. My favorite are the tortas and quesadillas but everything is really good
