Delicious! I had Al Pastor, Pollo & Carne Asada tacos. All were tasty but my fave were the Al Pastor. The tacos are so affordable $3-$3.50/each and loaded with meat.Wash it all down with a Mexican coca-cola, and you are golden. I will be back!

I'm from Chicago and super picky about Mexican food. This is the only place in DC I'm willing to order from and they never disappoint! Recently I hosted a party and catered from there - and although they don't have a catering menu, per se, it turned out so well to order tacos and guac. Everyone loved the food, and we had no leftovers because it was so tasty! :) Nelson, the manager, was so kind and accommodating. Highly rec for your next small party!

Love this place! Great neighborhood spot and the people who work there are really nice. The tortillas were fresh and the barbacoa was absolutely delicious. Really reasonably priced as well.

It feels like I ate at a different place than some of the more positive reviewers who cited this as "authentic Mexican." We ordered chilaquiles and burritos. From the rice to the beans to the meat to the salsa, all were bland. I've lived in Mexico (including DF) and in the U.S., mostly in border states, and this does not taste like Mexican food from any region of Mexico that I know. The milder/blander flavoring of the food is endemic to the big challenge with Mexican restaurants in DC: they often are actually Central American restaurants branded as Mexican. That has majorly improved in the last decade, but not at this spot. Out of bewilderment at the other reviews, I may go back to try the birria or al pastor taco to be happily proven wrong, but as it stands, I can't recommend. Three stars here for the service.

The short answer: These are the best tacos I've had in DC! You know what they say about "hole in the wall" restaurants and this place keeps the legend alive. It's place is small all but the tacos, the prices, and the service make the squeeze more than worth it. I had the Combo 3 (5 tacos with rice and beans and a drink). The carnitas and chorizo tacos were my favorites but they were all delicious. I left feeling full. I can't wait to drop in again.

Words can't describe how much this place has become to me. I began working around the area and I'm more of a pack your lunch type of person, but some days I'm running late and what not and can't pack lunch. I discovered this place on one of those days and this is now the place I go to all the time for burritos and tacos. The employees are lovely. I've become a regular now and it is the same ladies there everyday working even in the hot heat. I've read reviews saying "they don't speak much I guess" but I know them and they are kind. I was in the area eating spicy ramen and I went to this place looking for a drink to buy. Unfortunately, like many places if paying with credit card there is a minimum. They offered for me to just take the Diet Coke because they know I come here a lot. I refused and instead they filled my water bottle with cold iced water. No charge. They don't have to say much to show they have kindness and care for people. And not only that, their food is really yummy! The carnitas burrito is like a burrito baby and makes me so full. Sometimes I even save half for leftover dinner. The salsa verde it comes with is so tasty. I got their tacos too and everything I've ever had from them was filling and tasty. Contrary to other reviews this place is not out to get your money. If they were they'd shove the tip screen in your face but they don't even do that. They make good food and are good people and are a small local restaurant that I urge everyone in the area to try at least once.UPDATE: look how yummy these quesadillas look 10/10 so good one of the best quesadillas I've ever had!
