Quickly did a yelp search around lunch time and saw Tapas Truck had corn fritters which I love. My order was the shrimp pil-pil, pulled pork sandwich, and of course the corn fritters, all of which took under 10 mins to be ready. The pork sandwich was pretty tasty, with the meat being pretty tender and the sauce tangy. However, the sauce was only placed on one side (looks nice in the pic but it should've been placed throughout the sandwich), so it was kind of dry overall. The fries which came with it were okay. The shrimp didn't taste as fresh as I would've wanted. Same situation as the sandwich since the sauce was on the top only. However, the portion was pretty good. Corn fritters were my favorite. It had a crunchy exterior with a warm, soft inside full of tasty corn. The sauce didn't really add that much since the fritter itself had most of the flavor. Wish they gave more of this one. Overall, a good lunch. Would most likely change the shrimp for something else, and ask to put the sandwich sauce on the side so I could dip it next time.

The line for this truck at the Rosslyn Jazz fest was the longest. We were drawn in by the cone fries... unique packaging is a great way to market your product! We ordered the $8 shrimp pil pil, which is essentially popcorn shrimp doused with a sweet and tangy red sauce over a bed of garlic fries. Everything was cooked to a nice crisp with just the right amount of seasoning, but I wasn't a big fan of the red sauce. I'd definitely order this again if I were at another festival or outdoor event.

I happened upon the Tapas Truck at Rock the Core Cider Festival and was on the verge of trying it after seeing the options (Rabas, Chicken Morris, Shrimp Pil-Pil and a few others) but absolutely knew I had to get it once I saw someone eating the calamari sticks with garlic fries. The prices were decent - anywhere from $8-$10 - average for any food truck. The service was wonderful - they are so friendly and work fast so that the food is out to you within minutes. And the food was beyond amazing. Every component of the Rabas (calamari sticks with a smoky tomato sauce, over a "basket" of garlic fries that are seasoned perfectly) was cooked to perfection. Oftentimes you'll come across garlic fries that are completely covered in garlic bits and nothing else, but these had a mix of spices and the garlic was subtle but still present enough to really enhance the overall taste. The consistency of the tomato sauce was great as well. It wasn't runny, it wasn't too chunky, and it spread evenly over the calamari and top of the fries - a really nice flavor addition to both.Another added plus to the Tapas Truck was the presentation of their food. They don't put their food in the standard paper food tray like a lot of food trucks, but rather in a newspaper printed paper cone (with a fork so you're not having to fish out the rest of your fries). It's a nice touch that really differentiates them from the rest of the market. Can't wait to go back and try something else!

Super bummed that his food truck didn't really meet my expectations. It had all the workings of a great one- cool design, appealing menu, and quick service. This Tapas Truck however really failed to deliver. I ordered the calamari sticks with garlic fries while they were at the Crafty Bastards fair at Union Market. I get that trucks are overpriced, but for $10, I was hoping for a little more in my meal. Turns out you get four calamari sticks that tasted like they were just thawed and lacked any real creative flavored. The garlic fries were good, but for the price, I can't really justify it.I'll skip this truck and seek other options the next time I am around the DC truck scene.

Holy cow! I feel really sad for the other lunch goers who are waiting in line at the Cosi and other food trucks and leaving this truck wide open for my impatient curiosity to approach because they have nooo idea of what they're missing out on. I've just taken my first bites of my lunch and I am completely blown away the the quality of food for a food truck. And what a great deal too! Two choices for only $9. You don't get much better than that in the lunch price range in the DC metro area. I tried my hand at the Corn Fritters and Chicken Bom-Bom. Let's start with the fact that these things are deliciously crispy including the garlic fries. So yum! The corn fritters are sweet and have a great creamy sauce on top and the chicken bom-bom were so flavorful. Like I said I just took my first bites and I couldn't help but share with my Yelp community how incredible this experience is. Next time this truck is in your hood, go eat there.

The paint on the side of this truck proclaims that it has authentic Spanish food. Maybe that's true - two of my tapas were pretty good. But the last one was decidedly not Spanish and not good. Starting off with the good choices - the chorizo was my favorite selection. It was spiced elegantly, teeming with unique flavor and came with a small pillow of saffron rice. The meatballs weren't half bad either, but were much less flavorful than the chorizo. The bad news: the fried chicken was god awful. Lacking flavor and seasoning, I wouldn't be surprised if this came out of a frozen Tyson's chicken bag from Sam's Club (not even the Costco stuff!). The fries had little green specks and spices, but were inconsistently salted. Overall, a very carb heavy meal with smaller portions of protein than I would have preferred

First time I saw this food truck in Rosslyn. The pork sliders were absolutely amazing, and I've tried many variations of pulled pork and these were just on point. Lean but still very moist. No big pieces of fat laying in it like other pulled porks. The BBQ and aioli combination was delicious. Garlic fries were also very good -- didn't need any ketchup. Only draw back was that it took way too long to order and receive my food. Took about 25 minutes. The food more than made up for it, though.

I stumbled upon this truck while strolling to Harris Teeter to grab lunch. I initially wanted a small bite to eat..soup maybe. So I see this Tapas truck...hmmm tapas mean small right?!? Lol I stopped.I got the pulled pork sliders and let me tell you they were delish. You get two tapas items for 9bucks. The sliders came with these amazingly season fries. I think it was pesto sauce. The platter was also accompanied by yellow rice and a sauce. Everything was delish and my order didn't take long at all. That's great service when you're buying from a food truck and standing in the cold weather. I hope my pics do the food justice. I really enjoyed the fries, sliders, and rice. Overall I was very pleased with my transaction. If i could I would've given 4.5 stars!! Missing a half star because it is mobile. If i return and the service is great, I will update to a 5 star for sure.

Excellent concept, healthy food and a mix and match Spanish tapas menu, this is a superb choice for lunch. The lines can be long - but the food is better than average--and the service is fast and efficient. Hard to know what to recommend - shrimp, chorizo, empanadas, sliders - everything has been hot and flavorful. Most come with saffron rice and fries. Some come with a salad. Take your pick 2 tapas for $9 or 3 tapas for $12.
