Talkin' Tacos Washington DC

Multiple reviews claiming best tacos in dmv area.. cant say I'm mad at that. These tacos are LEGIT. I stopped in because this place was packed on a Tuesday afternoon - I had just picked up a sandwich from bub and pops across the street but this place looked buzzing and the decor/signage was inviting so curiosity got the best of me.Ordered a birria, a mahi mahi and a chicken taco and ALL were fantastic. Even the consommé that came with the birria was delicious (usually i have to add a touch of lime juice or a smidge of salt- this stuff needed nothing). I appreciate the to go packaging for the tacos too. Great selection of Jarritos flavors- saw a couple i don't see too often. Only complaint would be that the ordering system seemed to be behind. I had to ask about my order after waiting 30mins (quoted time from kiosk was 20mins), and they gave me my order.. then 30 minutes after that i actually got the text that it was ready. Oh well. Great addition to DC!

If you're looking for a taco spot with vibrant energy and delicious food, Talkin' Tacos is definitely worth a visit! The decor is bright and neon, which I absolutely loved. The music fits the atmosphere perfectly, adding to the lively vibe. Ordering is done through a machine, and while the process is simple and efficient, I do wish there were more customization options for removing ingredients.The service is impressively fast, and everything came out fresh. The Mystic Lemonade was a refreshing twist--like a half-and-half but without the tea aftertaste, which I really enjoyed.The Birria Pizza was packed with flavor, but wow--soooooo much cheese! As a cheese lover, even I found it a bit overwhelming, but the meat itself had great taste and seasoning.I also really enjoyed the bowl that I ordered especially since I'm a huge fan of edible bowls. For dessert, the churros were warm, soft, and slightly crisp on the outside. They were even better when dipped in the strawberry and crème-- this is definitely a must-try!Lastly, the Tajin and Chamoy gummies were quite an experience! They had a unique, interesting taste--definitely something worth trying at least once.Overall, I had a great time, and the food was really good. I would absolutely go back to try more items, especially with friends. If you're in the area definitely check it out!

This review is for Delivery. I saw one picture of the street corn and knew that I had to try it. I was not disappointed! I feel like I did not know about this place until recently and now I'm always going to want their street corn.I also ordered the bean tacos and mushroom tacos. I really enjoyed the bean tacos. Will definitely have to try the nachos next time I order the Street corn

Stopped by while walking around DuPont and their big sign had us gravitating towards giving them a try. Upon arrival we had been greeted by an employee who proceeded to show us to the kiosk to do self orders. The menu was extensive and had so many delicious sounding options to try. My friend got the birria ramen and said the noodles could have been a little softer as you could see it was just taken out the pack and placed in the bowl, also saying that the broth lacked a bit of flavor. My son had the birria tacos which were fine as I tried one and the meat was just a bit flavorless as well and the consume more watery than others I've tried. The churros for me were very delicious an would love to try the other option in flavors that they have. The place started getting packed as we were finishing up so leads me to believe other items on the menu are pretty popular here. Would like to come back and try other things hopefully soon.

If you're craving something tasty and quick, Talkin' Tacos is a must-visit! The service is incredibly fast, and the flavors are out of this world. With a fun, diverse menu, there's something for everyone. Each bite is packed with delicious, fresh ingredients, and the halal options make it even better. I'll definitely be back for more! The ambiance is also one to check out - very fun and colorful!

Definitely a vibe. I stopped by after happy hour to grab dinner and I was not disappointed! I got the steak burrito and it was the Takis inside that did it for me. I ordered on a kiosk and food was ready in about 15 minutes. It was full of people but service was still fairly fast. I work in the area so I am looking forward to returning to try more on the menu!

My partner and I love this as a quick take out option! The tomato ramen is really innovative and an all time hit in our house. The burrito, tacos, and taco salad are all safe options, tasty and pretty typical. But that ramen is the one! Oh and the blue mango drink was fire too. We always do take out but the inside reminds me of south beach or a laser tag place, very dark and lots of lights. The service is hit or miss but the food makes up for it!

Still flawless!I came back again to my new favorite DC taco spot. I was curious if the food quality, taste and service would be the same; and honestly it was!The staff were so nice, the restaurant still looks so vibrant and fun, and the food was still top tier. I got my favorite flavor taco trio - the Caribbean Carne Tacos, and they were as tasty as ever! Honestly, the flavor combination is fire!!!Thank you Talkin Tacos for a flavorful visit!

My husband and I stopped in here randomly as we needed to quickly pick up food for our friend who was in a rush to catch her train back home. We miscalculated how much time we had to drop off my friend but ordered food anyway as we were starving and this would be her only opportunity to get something to eat before her long journey. Our order confirmation stated the food would be out within ten minutes but the staff was kind enough to speed up the process as they got the sense that we were in a rush. Honestly, they didn't have to rush for us but I greatly appreciated their willingness to help. The staff and manager were extremely kind the entire time. The food itself is delicious. In my opinion, there are not a lot of great tacos spots in DC but I would go out of my way for this one. We each ordered different tacos (chicken, shrimp, carne asada) and everything was great. We will be back again!

The place, food, and customer service was absolutely PHENOMENAL. Was passing by thinking the place was a club so it definitely attracted my group and I to check it out. Very happy we did! Will come again when coming to DC.
