I love all things frozen and sweet and the DC Vice was both so I liked it. 9/10. The house fries with truffle oil was amazing. Perfectly crispy. I sat at the bar and the bartender was in training. She was nice. Ambiance is chill bar vibe. Probably worth it to come during happy hour (4-6pm). Don't dress up. Perfect after work spot.

I've been to Takoda a few times in the past and have always had a positive time. However, this happy hour visit my friend and I had was lackluster. To preface, if you open a tab, it automatically charges $50 to your card. I feel as though that should be explained prior. Additionally, it is stressful to have to confirm you have received your refund. The fries were tasty and the drinks were flavorful, which really made me hopeful that we would have a fun experience. However, as we were ordering more off their menu, my friend was met with hostility from the bartender that was uncalled for.The ambiance is beautiful and perfect for a summer day with friends, but the service does need significant improvement.

The rooftop was dead on a Sunday before a soccer game. The rest of the bar was closed so you can only go to the rooftop. Charged me $4.50 for a flat diet coke. Prices for beer/cocktails were okay but nothing worth trekking here for. Wouldn't go back based on how dead it was - all the other bars were more busy and fun!

Great location, they have two floors and the top one is a rooftop. This bar is great for happy hour or catching the game. They are within a 5 minute walk from the Nationals Park. They have a small simple menu of bites like loaded fries, boneless chicken wings, fried pickles and tater tots. They also have a variety of cocktails on tap like the Takoda Mule and Fun In The Sun. The beers are served on tap too. The staff was friendly, accommodating and made sure our glasses were never empty!

First impression: what a vibe!Location: this location is in Navy Yard right next to the Nats Park garage. Easily metro accesible on either train or bus!Venue: the second floor was GORGEOUS. The wrap around bar, beautiful decor and numerous windows gives the place some beautiful lighting at sunset. We went to the rooftop before the Nats game ended (we didn't know there was one happening) and were able to order our food and drinks before the huge rush of baseball goers flooded the space. It was cool to see how lively its gets but can definitely be a little overbearing for a small space even if outdoors. We were able to find a table with seats and enjoyed everything. I believe our drinks were $14 and the boneless wings not more than $15. I think we got like 6 decent size pieces on each of our plates and were full when we left. Drinks were also strong and super good!I would definitely come here again, check 'em out!

LocationAcross street from Nationals stadium.ParkingWe walked/ metro'd-parking for fee in this areaServiceRose was fantastic-friendly, fast, informative about the menu and area.AtmosphereCasual and relaxed vibe-has an upstairs that the bartender welcomed us! Both areas have large tv's-sports. Rooftop has great view of the yard. Food and beverageMule-outside anding-fresh gingerHouse sparkling-AMAZING House red-sparking, dry, I was not a fan but my husband liked it.Fish n chips-see picture-3 battered lightly fish pieces that were moist and delish. Two sauces accompanied and were both so yummy I got them to go! My husband said it was the best. Comes with cole slaw and fries that we substituted with a salad that was much larger than expected. SummaryWhat a great find! Casual bar with optional roof top-outstanding service, food and drinks! Happy hour til 6. Can't wait to return soon.

Drinks were weak. Tried 3. 2nd one was better... 3rd. Meh.... Although the gentleman waiter and view was nice, would recommend a better establishment, if you can find one.

I have to say, THIS is the better Takoda! I really enjoyed the atmosphere here, the staff here are very friendly too. Prices are decent for the area, my boyfriend was a fan of the 6 shots for $36! We got a table and we were presented with the game "Truth or Drink", which made the experience even better. The Manager Daniel took us upstairs to view the rooftop and was super helpful, he even let us know about upcoming events and our options for renting it out. I'll definitely be back at this location soon!

I've been here twice after a game and twice I feel like I've been robbed. When paying they don't show you the itemized price before they run your card, just hand you the handheld with the tip screen. The first time I came here I paid about $60 for 2 beers and 2 shots, which seemed like a lot but the bar was so packed I didn't bother to ask for a receipt. The second time I was there the bartender ran my card at the POS, no receipt, no signature, no tip, I later found out I was charged $50 for 1 beer and 1 shot (A draft beer and a shot of Jameson, nothing fancy). This can't be a coincidence. The rooftop is fun but make sure you're asking for an itemized receipt. I personally will not be returning, these experiences left a very bad taste in my mouth.

NYE PARTY: Went two years ago was great, this year was like a whole different event. The only reason people went was for the rooftop and it was "closed for the season" when it was open two years ago and apparently last year as well. It was 60 degrees out. Yes i know it wasn't specially advertised on the ticket event but when u do it one year people expect it the next. Food was lazy, bartender who looked like jason mamoa was rude and aggressive, they advertise being a tito's bar but were pouring the cheapest vodka, preset drink menu when it was supposed to be an open bar, and they didn't pass around champagne flutes so half the bar didn't get them at midnight. Horribly run event, this place went from a 100 to a 0 in two years, overpriced and a waste of money and time.
