Takasima Sushi Rice Noodles

About a 2.5: Takasima is part of the food court located at the St. Charles Towne Center. They offer various maki rolls, sushi burritos, and ramen.Honestly, I was a little hesitant in trying this place out, because, you know, sushi at the mall? However, the hubs wanted to give them a try, so we went for it.We ordered:+Spicy Tuna Roll - this was described as diced sashimi-grade tuan with a spicy sauce; unfortunately, the tuna wasn't 'raw' and it tasted like canned tuna; rice was a bit more on the wet side+the Charo Burrito - this was filled with crab (imitation crab) and shrimp; this was a deep-fried 'sushi roll', and the flavor was actually pretty good; however, didn't know that cilantro was one of the ingredients they would add in there, so it totally ruined it for me; the sauce drizzles on top were great; this could have been more piping hot, as it was deep-fried, but I'm thinking it was a quick dipStaff were very friendly and kind.There's a sign that says that this place is halal.There seems to be many who get their items to go.Ample seating in the food court dining area, and plenty of parking in the mall lot.+avoid the maki rolls+friendly service+located inside the St. Charles Towne Center+ample parking in the mall lot

When I think of food court sushi I typically stray away, but my kid begged for sushi so we gave it a try! I must say, I am so impressed! The employees were friendly and the food was quick! I got the fried sushi burrito with crab and shrimp and my daughter got the California roll. Her food was gone in seconds and she loved it. Mine was so good big that I took the other half home to finish. I wish this place was located in a better place, but when I have to go to the mall again, I will definitely get food from here again.

This place is great! The sushi burrito is something everybody has to try. I've never seen anything like it anywhere else. The Ramen is also super yummy and I'm very picky about my ramen because I make the authentic kind at home.
