Tacos Don Perez

Yum! This place is amazing and definitely a gem in Silver Spring. Located around the corner from a Sunoco gas station, Tacos Don Perez has quite a large space for outdoor seating and operates out of two food trucks: One for ordering/payment (items like dessert and elote are also dispensed here) and the other for order pickup. The employees were nice and genuinely excited for me to try the food. I was also given a buzzer after ordering to help advise me when the food would be ready. They also accept orders over the phone and online (in addition to walk-ups). I ordered the 3 Pollo Quesatacos as well as the Tres Leche with raspberry drizzle. Every bite for the tacos and the cake was flavorful and well-balanced. The tacos were meaty and everything was fresh. I loved the red (spicy) and green salsa packets included alongside the tacos (as well as slices of cucumber and radish and lime as the garnish). Ugh, the Tres Leches was devastatingly scrumptious. It was sweet and very moist. I loved the slight tartness the raspberry drizzle (on the frosting) offered. I wish I had gotten more than just the single order of the cake.Lots of parking close to the food trucks since it's located across from a shopping center as well.

I heard about this place from a post on the nextdoor app. I had never heard of Birria Tacos but the post said they were great. So I decided to try them out. It's a little hard to find. It's within the shopping center lot there on the corner of Georgia Ave and Randolph. Hechinger, Shopper's, Magruder's, Country Boy all were there at this corner shopping center at one time or another going back several decades. Use a shopping center entrance to find it. It's a food truck - but it's actually two large semi-permanently-parked food service trailers. It's located behind the McDonalds near the corner of Randolph and George Ave., and it's between a gas station and a bank. Plenty of parking. They have a portion of the lot sectioned off with plenty of picnic tables with large umbrellas. The area is exceptionally clean. And it's decorated in a festive manner with lots of colored lights and bright paint and bright signage. And speakers play happy upbeat Mexican music. I ordered three Birria quesatacos which means they include cheese. And it came with consumme which you dip the taco in like a french dip. I think I paid around $14. These are mexican tacos and have little to do with the tex mex tacos most Americans are accustomed to. And they are fantastic. The toppings included thin sliced radish, cucumber, and also green and red hot sauces in little packets. And fresh cilantro and a healthy squirt of lime. Do not be concerned about the unfamiliarity with these toppings. Jump in blindly! Trust me.These are the best tacos I've ever had. In my life.

Delicious food! I was first introduced to this business from a Yelp elite experience. I had been meaning to come back on my own and didn't until recently.Parking is tight. Easy to place an order at one truck and pickup from the adjacent truck. There's plenty of seating (outdoor). Friendly employees! I got carne asada tacos - liked them. The prices were fair!

No doubt the best taco truck in MoCo is Tacos Don Perez. They have a killer birria taco. They're one of the few places that can prepare a mangonada the correct way. I have also tried the street tacos with carne asada. Delicious!

Not sure how I haven't left them a review yet. Probably the best tacos that I've had anywhere and I've lived in Cali and Vegas for quite a while now (but glenmont will always be home). Also definitely some of my favorite taco hot sauces. The lengua here is perfect, but the chorizo and carne asada tacos are equally delicious

This place is like a hidden gem. It's stationed outside a small gas station and the first time I couldn't find it. Saturday afternoon was pretty chill as there were tables filled with customers. Not fully packed but just enough. We ordered a half tray of the lengths tacos. Two refreshments, Pineapple & tamarind! We didn't have to wait long for our order as we just sat down at one of the picnic tables they had set up outside. Food tasted yummy. The drinks made everything better together. Will definitely have to come back to try the elotes!!

I'm kind of sad that I found this place. Since it's really close to my gym, I have a feeling that I might undo my workouts by stopping at Tacos Don Perez for a post-workout meal. Tacos Don Perez is pretty much a large, outdoor taco stand that has a great variety of tacos and other Mexican dishes. For my order, I went with three tacos (I forget which ones I ordered). Overall, I thought my tacos were perfectly prepared. After finishing the tacos, I wished that I had ordered a few more. Also, the prices is pretty much on par with other places in the area. I believe my three tacos were about $11. If you visit outside of regular lunch hours (or before the kiddos are dismissed from school), the service is pretty fast. However the lines can be a bit long, which I guess confirms that this is a good place for tacos. The only downside to this spot are: 1. It's outdoors, so it probably will not be fun to eat here during the winter. 2. It's in a parking lot near a gas station, so you might smell a bit of gas while consuming your tacos. I definitely plan on returning to try more things from the menu.

Me and my family always come to this hidden gem! Food is always amazing and so is the service. I recently took a cousin to the truck for the first time and Aylani was so kind to us. She answered any questions we had and made sure that we knew all of our options. Also their music playlist always has me dancing lol. Everyone should come if you're in the area!

The food is amazing, great service every time I go. Food done in timely manner. I went today and lani was really friendly and nice, took my order with a smile.
