Came here for brunch on Sunday during winter restaurant week.Group of friends and I each ordered from RW menu. We shared the grilled kale salad which was a hit!My appetizer was beet spread and that was yummy. The entree of breakfast ajaruli was decent. I like the bread and cheese combination but felt the vegetables needed some seasoning. Someone in my party got the breakfast sandwich which she enjoyed. The restaurant was out of the walnut truffles so got the yogurt instead of chrchkela which was alternate to truffles. The yogurt wasnt anything different. It felt like eating a healthy snack or breakfast. In summary, it was a decent meal. I am curious on some.of their non RW menu items.

Tabla. The more casual younger sister of Supra. Overall a very nice experience and i'm going to bump them to 4.5 stars. Also, we al (our group of 6) did the restaurant week menu, so I don't think that's entirely the best barometer for everyone who'll read this. Negatives/nitpicks: weirdly the first flights of amber wine and red wine people in our group were really skimpy. 2) the beet spread (regardless of whether or not it was a 'restaurant week sampler portion') , which is listed as the "Beet pkhali" on the website is not worth $11 (even in this economy) I didn't notice much walnut or garlic/other spices and frankly it was too small of a dollop with 3 tiny slices of flatbread. It felt like an amuse-bouche more than an appetizer. It's also not served on the bread. 3) My salmon was fine. I just didnt get any flavor from it beyond the fish. Positives: Literally all the other food was delightful as were the wines and my first drink (the spicy zelensky cocktail). The flavors were rich and playful and everything was just lovely. Everything pictured, beyond the salmon, was great and the Roasted Cauliflower dish (a large appetizer) was so warming and tasty.Service was really nice and friendly. Funny thing was: they accidentally tried to give one of us the green salad when that friend had ordered the eggplant. The staff apologized, had the right dish out in at most 5 minutes , but the kept giving our group free food! We got bonus dumplings and 2 other things on the house. I appreciate that kindness, but the 2 other things weren't necessary.Overall a wonderful dinner out.

Was so excited to try this place and it didn't disappoint! The servers were very attentive, and the waiter mixed our ajaruli for us which I thought was nice. I'm used to eating spicy foods so I did ask for some lemon and chili sauce on the side, which they were very nice to provide. Would recommend bringing a lactase pill if you are lactose sensitive because there is a lot of cheese. We also got the sodas which were interesting flavors but very sweet!I love that the menu has some history.

This was a cute little spot I found courtesy of the DC Imbibe drinking passport. They are a spin off of the Supra restaurant also located in NW and opened in 2020. Its a cute spot with a full bar and indoor and outdoor seating. I popped in on a chillly Sunday evening around 5pm. It was empty and warm and I was greeted and seated right away. I opted for a bar seat. I ended up ordering soup dumplings and wine to warm me up. It is a Georgian restaurant and you can get a little background on the country and the restaurant and food on the back page of the menu. They have a great wine menu and regular and seasonal cocktails as well. Definitely plan to come back and try some other Georgian staples on the menu.

Arrived on a Friday evening around 6, there was no wait and we were seated immediately. We got the lamb burger, lamb and tarragon dumplings and kubdari. The lamb burger was perfectly seasoned with so many spices and herbs topped with a sauce that paired perfect. The bread was a little too much for the bread to meat ratio. The soup dumplings were good but again, too much of the skin compared to the meat. The kubdari had the perfect ratio and was well seasoned but there was a hair found in my meal. The server was very apologetic and took it off the bill. Everything was good but didn't love how much bread was in everything.

I really enjoyed the ajaruli which was like a cheesy boat situation with an egg in it that get cooked in front of you basically. Get the cream soda for sure if you're not a drinker !!! if you want to be a little healthy I would say order the kale salad as well, that was yummy and I paired it with the chicken mtsvadi. Lastly you can get their donuts for a nice treat! They have indoor and outdoor seating which I thought was very nice. Juwan hopefully that's how you spell it was super nice as well!!

All of the food here is delicious. We visited with friends as part of restaurant week, allowing our party of four to try a wide cross-section of the menu. That included the: Ajika Carrots, Elarji Balls, Georgian-Spiced Wings (honey-glazed), Georgian Avenue Fries, Khinkali (Pork & Beef), Georgian Green Salad, Eggplant-Walnut Salad, Pork Ribs, Fried Loqo, Ajaruli, Steak & Pepper Ajaruli, Lula Kabab, Chocolate-Walnut Truffles, Pelamushi, and Yogurt Khrashunit.Anything served with the guda cheese dressing was delicious. That included the fries and the wings. The Eggplant-Walnut Salad was surprisingly one of my favorites. The Georgian Green Salad included a lot of fresh ingredients. That dressing on both were delicious. The lamb kabob was another standout and was seasoned perfectly. The pork ribs were very tender. The Pelamushi was the most unique item, both in taste and texture. Everything was unique with beautiful plating. We also tried a flight of the Georgian amber wines. I really liked 3/4 of them and would have been happy with a full glass of any one. Although, after seeing the 60 Minutes piece on Georgian wines, I was expecting them to taste very different from your average whites. They're very full-bodied, but I've been just as happy with other lighter wines. This place gets very busy (they don't take reservations for parties under 8) and that was the case when we were there. They moved our table twice before we got our drinks -- once to accommodate a larger group and again to get us away from a drafty door. Unfortunately, that led to some confusion with our orders. We really had to keep track that we got each dish from each course and they got out of order (dessert before the entrees, etc.) Staff was super kind and pleasant. There were only two servers for the whole restaurant and one of them was also host!

We had never tried Georgian cuisine before so everything was a guess as to which entrees and dishes would appeal to 4 adults with wide-ranging tastes. Our picks: Pork & Pomegranate BBQ Megruli - a very flavorful variant of a small flatbread pizza; Lamb & Tarragon Khinkali - these dumplings weren't a hit with anyone: kinda bland & maybe lost some of its appeal after cooking off; Ajika Carrots: excellent, full-length & delicious; Roasted Red Beet Argula and Georgian Green salads: both were very tasty; Lula Kebob: lamb with tomato-based sauce, was a hit; Pork Ribs: very good; Chicken Tapaka (thighs): especially with spicy Ajika sauce - delicious; Roasted Butter Squash (Bazhit): a fine accompaniment to the rest of our meal. Our carryout experience for such a large order was well done. The kitchen & staff double checked to ensure that all items were included in our pickup packages. We also appreciated that everything was packed in enviro friendly packaging. The restaurant appeared to be clean and well-lit; all patrons seemed to be enjoying their dining experience while we waited for our order to be ready to go...Next time visiting DC, will definitely return and look forward to trying new & different items from the menu!
