Sushi Cho

came in for an early dinner around 4:30 PM. we knew this place would be popular since the last time we cam here, it was packed. we were immediately seated and our waitress asked us our preference for water, hot or cold which I appreciated! they also took away my son's dishware and replaced them with a plastic plate and plastic utensils which was perfect! I was rocking this fantastic headache during dining here and wasn't sure how much I'd be able to eat while here. my kids loved the miso soup here & drank it all. my daughter typically only eats salmon rolls and when they brought out the sushi tacos, my daughter wanted one for herself, but a salmon version. after talking with the waitress, she was able to get us a sushi taco with just a huge slice of salmon on it. my daughter loved it! the sushi here was fresh & my SO mentioned this place reminds him of Takumi out in Falls Church. the uni from Japan was so freaking good. there was no bitter after taste and was just so sweet. I'd come back and order a platter to go next time. their presentation whether it's dining in or take out was just gorgeous.I can see why this place has such a hype about it. the sushi is fresh and delicious - they do import from Japan. the takoyaki is made fresh and not frozen like most restaurants. their menu is extensive and full of different options for even the pickiest of eaters. I would make a reservation as they do get super busy from walk ins.

Amazing sushi spot. Ordered a platter for take out for my mom's birthday. We ordered the 108 piece platter which had more than 108 (unless I counted incorrectly). It had nigiri, sashimi and rolls (spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, dragon, rainbow, flying dragon, and firecracker rolls). Sashimi was fresh. My favorite bites: scallop, salmon, and tiny shrimp sashimi. Toro was super fatty and buttery.Staff was super friendly. Our order came with a takeout container full of salad, standard ginger dressing (yum) and 2 quarts of miso soup. Additionally, they included hwedupbap and a roasted salmon head on the house. :)Hwedupbap was assembled and eaten the day after- it was still fresh. The quantity is no joke. Even after only adding a 1/2 cup of cooked rice, it was more than enough to share with someone.

Wanted to update and add more photos of the food, since this is still one of my favorite sushi places in NOVA! Their fish is always fresh and high-quality with clean taste. Most recently, we ordered the sashimi for 2, seared salmon belly, and scallop sashimi appetizer. Service is still spectacular. The employees make sure our cups were always filled with hot tea (especially important on those cold winter days). At the end of our lunch, the chef brought us complimentary seared yellowtail, a twist to their seared salmon belly. One thing I will say is that the middle tables in the restaurant can get pretty chilly with the breeze whenever someone opens the door. I would recommend going earlier to see if you could be seated along the wall or area that's tucked in.

I love sushi, and sushi cho is probably one of the best in the area. Their fish is always super fresh! As someone who is sensitive to the fishy smell, I've never had issues with sushi cho. Not only that, the service is always so good. They're super attentive and friendly! 10/10 recommend

This is probably one of my favorite go to spots for a more quality sushi type of night! It's higher quality and also perfectly casual enough as well! Service is really great! but the only issue is the SPACING - absolutely cluttered feeling :( you are right next to someone else and can hear their conversations ~ getting in and out of the booths are sort of a hassle too... Table space is tiny and NO places to hang coats or bags... Food is pretty delicious! They have a wide variety of sushi selections and combos! Love love their Hwe dupbap! (sushi + rice + salad and a huge bowl of veggies mixed). Such a generous portion that I eat it in 3 meals LOL Tried their soft shell crab - I usually love it but here it's okay - think their takoyaki is better. One unique and awesome thing they do is at the end they always give out two pieces to try as complimentary and they're usually delicious! Overall 8/10 would totally come back!

One of the best sushi places in the area! Highly recommend. Great quality sushi and a whole variety to choose from. Their appetizers are very delicious as well. We were there for Valentine's Day and the service was great. The place is a little small and the tables are placed close to other people. And it was cold because people kept opening the door. I noticed no one took off their costs. That's how cold it was due to the door opening and closing. Nothing they can do about it but just for people are aware.

This place has been on our list for a long time, and we were so excited to check it out yesterday. We ordered the 32 pcs from the chef's special platter. We end up liking the nigiri more than the sashimi. The sushi rice was great and in good proportion with the seafood. We were also surprised by how good the spicy tuna roll tasted. A good chunk of meat and has a nice flavor. We ended the night with a complimentary salmon roll and a nice little show as shown in the video. We will be back to check out other items in the future since they have quite an extensive menu.

My first time at Sushi Cho and I went on a whim because my cousin and I were craving sushi. We stumbled upon this restaurant on yelp and decided to give them a try. We didn't have a reservation, for two people on a Saturday night the wait was about 15 minutes which was not bad at all. I really like the ambiance of the store, looked very organized and traditionally on theme for a sushi restaurant. The staff were very friendly.We ordered three rolls: Chesapeake Bay, Dynamite, and What a Match. We also ordered an appetizer, Seared Salmon Belly. Our favorite of the three rolls was the Chesapeake Bay which has fried oyster in it! The Seared Salmon Belly is a must order appetizer. It looks like the other yelpers agree with me too.Overall, I would definitely come here again for sushi. There are 100 specialty rolls to choose from and it was a very pleasant dining experience.

One of the best sushi experiences I have had - Sushi Cho is an intimate yet casual dining space and hotspot in NOVA.Everything tastes good and the service was great.Seared Salmon Belly - I love seared salmon and this item topped em all. Must order "appetizer" that melts in your mouth.Chicken Karage and sauce were good but I'll save my space to try another new roll next time!The Tuna Ninja almost tasted like steak to me! Maybe not what some are expecting but I liked it!Couldn't go wrong with the Last Samurai too.In general, they have plenty menu items and rolls where you'll find something you'll like - maybe just take a look at the menu before you go.Will 100% return when I get the opportunity.

I love Sushi Cho and have been all about them since they opened a few years ago, but their price has gone up and quality has gone down recently. If the quality of their food was still top notch and the prices were increased, then I'd be a little more understanding but I ordered the 'What a Catch' roll today, which has shrimp tempura in it and half the tempura was just fried batter and no shrimp. The batter was also hard and stale... like a day or two old kind of stale.So disappointing to see another great restaurant losing quality over money.
