I get that everyone's experience is different, so I can only speak for myself. I enjoyed it! Will I spend that much money on one meal for myself often? Nahhh lol I thought the server was fantastic. Wish I could remember her name. We celebrated my good brothers birthday and we all enjoyed our food. Drinks were good as well and the DJ had set a nice vibe for the evening. He only gets to play at a bedding music level, so props for still setting the tone. Let me conclude by saying I think the best value at STK comes during happy hour. You get good bites & good drinks at reasonable prices.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the new STK's happy hour and it was oh so worth it! Immediately upon arrival, you're met by a bouncer and friendly host staff. The decor is so on trend and sets the mood for a lively yet modern steakhouse. This is a high end restaurant and their happy hour does not short you on quality. All of their signature cocktails are $9 that's right... $9 and they have a nice variety of happy hour appetizers that range from something small like $6 tater tots to $9 steak frites to $19 surf and turf. The service was also top notch! The bar area isn't the largest so when we arrived for happy hour we were immediately met by friendly bartenders and given alternative portions to enjoy happy hour in the event that a spot didn't open up. Luckily two seats opened up and we were able to enjoy but the added plus is that we were told happy hour is throughout the restaurant. We can't wait to return and do it all over again!Drinks:Strawberry Cobbler Martini - 5/5 so refreshing and shaken to perfection. Dragon Flare - 5/5 very yummyNot Your Daddy's Old Fashioned - 5/5 the addition of vanilla and almond extract elevated this old fashion to the next levelHot Honey Smash - 4/5 Tasty but not a favoriteBonus - if your order at least 5 appetizers from the happy hour menu, they'll place them on the cutest tray Food:Surf & Turf - 5/5 the shrimp was seasoned and cooked perfectly and the steak was flavorful and tender Lil Brg & Truffle Fries - Fries 5/5 some of the best truffle fries I've ever had & Lil Brg 3/5 Pretty small but goodShort Rib Quesadilla - 5/5 delicious ans the presentation was so neatJalapeño Pickled Shrimp Cocktail - 5/5 fresh and subtle jalapeño flavor

I had a disappointing experience at STK Steakhouse for brunch. The food was not up to par at all. The steak was overcooked, and many of the items were burnt. For a steakhouse, I expected a lot more attention to detail when it came to cooking the food properly. The only redeeming aspect of the meal was the drinks. they were the highlight of the experience, but honestly, that's not enough to make up for the poor quality of the food. The entire brunch felt extremely overpriced for the underwhelming quality. I would not return, especially considering how many other great brunch spots are available. Definitely not worth the money or the hype.

The ambiance is quaint and cute. The servers were pleasant. The short rib was tender but very fatty. With such a small piece that reduces the portion greatly. There could have been more sauce for the neat as well. The truffle fries were a hit, crunch and flavorful. The Mac and cheese was decent, risotto was very creamy but needed more mushrooms. The bread was tasty and soft with a nice herbed butter. Some preferred a crisp top to enhance the bread. Unfortunately many of us were unable to eat what we intended since they were sold out of the two core steak options in the restaurant week menu. There was no accommodation to substitute or have a subsidized upcharge for select beef options. There are other menu items that are cheaper than the steaks that could have been options.

Glad that STK returned to DC! They're now located inside the Marriott Marquis near the convention center. Parking is scarce so I'd suggest valet or ride share. There's some limited street parking.I've been a few times. Last night we were here to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had an early dinner reservation. While I waited at the bar for everyone else to arrive, I had great bar service. It was still happy hour (yes on weekends until 5:30). Malcolm made a great cocktail, "Dragon's Flare" (vodka based) and at $9, can't beat that. Woot!We got seated and our server, Jason was great throughout the evening. He was juggling multiple tables and we never once felt neglected. Most of our party took part in the Restaurant Week specials. Unfortunately they were out of two of the steak options. I did the little brgs (sliders) for the first course. Maple glazed salmon for the entree and cheesecake. I really enjoyed the sliders. The salmon was good but needed a bit more seasoning. I asked for a few slices of lemons and salt and pepper - that helped alot. I tried the "unchained passion" cocktail (tequila based) and it was really good. I plan to visit again soon for brunch! One complaint though is that the restrooms aren't inside the restaurant. A bit of a walk to get to them inside the hotel lobby!

We went here to celebrate a birthday on a Tuesday night and it was amazing! It was actually fairly crowded for a Tuesday, they had a live DJ and the decor was great. The only thing was the bathroom was located inside of the Marriott, which was at the other end of the building, so it was quite a bit of a walk, but other than that, everything else was amazing. The salmon was excellent. The brussels sprouts were amazing and he said the lamb chops were great!

I dont know if DC really needed STK back.. there are so many steakhouses and i don't think the menu stands out nor the quality for price point justifies its resurrection. The space is chic, sexy.. even lively. Service was straightforward. I ordered an 8oz skirt steak, a potato (hash brown) and two drinks- my total with tip was $170. No appetizer, no dessert, damn near $200?! The steak wasnt even hot when it came out- delicious and cooked to temp but why is it just warm! The hash brown is nothing worth repeating (I didnt even finish it over two days- threw almost half away). The rolls though.. whew! Dreams are made of em. Yes, the best part of my meal was the free part LOL. I see why people would come for a special occasion.. I get it, it's definitely a vibe but DC has a solid dining scene and this did not speak to that. Hell, i went the next night and spent the same amount for a dinner that was actually worth it, quality wise. So it's not the price I'm mad at, it's "what exactly am I paying for".. and sorry. I cant justify it here so STK is a one and done for me.

I love STK!!! The Ambiance is warm and inviting'! My first experiencing STK was for happy hour and my friends and had an awesome time that we decided to come back that next week for the "date night steak night special " . We had an awesome server ( Dillion), we loved him so much that made sure to have him service us during date night. Dillion was able to provide helpful food and cocktail recommendations. For happy hour we elected to try a variety of the food, from the sliders, Japanese A5 Wagyu tacos, Wagyu Meatballs, and Short Rib Quesadilla. I enjoyed the Strawberry Cobbler cocktail. I definitely recommend you try the steak night. It was a fabulous experience and the port house was cooked to perfection.
