Stable DC

I wanted to give my family, especially my daughter, a taste of Switzerland, so we decided to head to Stable for dinner. We got there about 30 minutes before our reservation, and the guy who welcomed us was incredibly friendly. He let us know that our table wasn't quite ready yet, so we enjoyed some time at the bar while we waited.When we finally got to our cozy booth, it felt just right--nice and private! We ordered a few things to share: the Famous Stable Wings, Veal Zürich Style, and Belper Knolle Fondue. The wings were a hit! They were seasoned and cooked perfectly, and we all loved them. The fondue, on the other hand, was a bit simple; it was mostly just bread for dipping, which got a little boring after a while. But the veal was delicious, served with a creamy sauce that we really enjoyed. Overall, we had a great time together, and it was a nice introduction to Swiss cuisine!

We were looking forward to this meal given all the hype online about this restaurant. I must say, though, that the food was not as we expected. The complementary bread basket were stacked on a counter and served to tables cold. The crumb structure was not great and the crust was a little too hard from being somewhat stale. The raclette toast was pack with umami, but the combination of meat and cheese made it overly salty. My entree, the veal cooked to rare, was tender and juicy. However, the portion is nowhere near worth the price. The candied chestnuts were also a confusing pairing for my palate. We may give this place another try, but we would definitely play it safe and get their signature fondue.

Incredibile food. Amazing service. Eating inside a replica of a Swiss chalet. They thought of everything! We had the raclette service for brunch. Make sure you reserve this in advance. The kids loved their French toast and banana waffles. The banana was bruleed. Nice touch! The make your own mimosas was also great. There is nothing they did wrong. Definitely recommend this spot.

Stable was a delicious experience perfect for a cold winter night in DC. We got the wings and garlic/pepper fondue and it was all delicious!! We were in a cute "chalet/cabin" inside the restaurant and it made the experience so much cuter. The service was great, no complaints. Highly recommend everyone try this at least once, such a cute and delicious experience!

Great restaurant! The service is wonderful, the food is delicious and unique, and the atmosphere is great. The chalets offer a wonderful private and unique experience.The fondue is great and a fun activity to do. And we left feeling stuffed.The prices are reasonable. At about $30-$45 per person.

Just got back from Stable and it was truly an enjoyable time. We did the Raclette Experience, which requires calling ahead for, and it was pretty good; consisting of the cheese, potatoes, cornichons, and two types of onions. Admittedly, we did feel like it could have come with charcuterie (which is on the menu separately). But we were quickly filled with the cheese and potatoes and there wasn't much to complain about. For drinks we did the hot non-alcoholic cider and another non-alcoholic beverage, both were equally delicious.The staff were friendly and efficient and the ambiance is quaint; although we were seated more towards the entrance and didn't get a full view of the entire space. Definitely plan to scope out the full interior a bit more next time as I plan to return, it's certainly a cozy and inviting atmosphere; perfect for winter!

One of our favorite neighborhood spots. Consistently great (we especially love their brunch, but you can't go wrong at any meal). So glad they're back open.

It's been a couple years since my last visit and I'm still so happy with this restaurant! My friends and I got one of the private "chalets" and it is such a lovely experience. The service was outstanding and everyone LOVED the food. My friend couldn't stop talking about how amazing the croissant waffle was! I had the spaetzle dish and it was so yummy!

I went to Stable DC for a dinner with friends recently! Stable has the most intimate, cozy atmosphere & friendly service.Between the three of us, we enjoyed the classic fondue for two with bread & apple slices, Brussels sprouts & some charcuterie paired with a nice red wine. Everything was incredible! Highly recommend checking out Stable for a date night or a dinner with friends / family!

Really good food, we love fondue. Drinks are excellent, too, nice potent potables. Not your typical restaurant, in a very good way. Lovely staff and excellent service. Octavia (our server) was fabulous! The chalets are a lovely way to dine, like having your own private dining room. We met the owner, too, who stopped to chat with us. Lovely experience all around,
