You can find some good soul food in this restaurant. They have most of your favorite soul food entrees and side. It is located next to a convienance store and there is ample parking available between the two. The restaurant has a small dining room with a few tables and chairs. They have a large Connect Four and Jenga game in the dining area for customers to hang out and play. You will see a couple of televisions in the dining area. One was off and one was playing music from a music streaming service. The service started off a bit slow, but it picked up eventually. I ordered a Philly steak and cheese with a side of greens, French fries and Mac & cheese. It took about 25 minutes for me to get my food. With that being said, I recommend calling your order in ahead of placing it on-line.The owner, Kim, is awesome. She is very friendly and full of personality. She gets to know her regulars and loves her community. As for my food, there was a ton of it. The Philly was packed with meat. I really liked my sandwich. The Mac and cheese was delicious. Very cheesy. The greens were definitely fresh and did not taste like they were from a can. They were just like my mom use to make. There was a ton of food, and I could not finish it. I got a container, put my left overs in it and finished them off later that evening.I recommend checking this spot out for some decent home-cooked soul food.

Started from the bottom - Now we here!!!!They say you can tell when food is made with love (this is that kind of place). Stop by this new black owned business and show the owner some L O V E...I stopped by because I missed the grand opening. My diet is - well blahhhhh. I discussed my dietary restrictions with the owner and she came up with a plan - out came southern catfish and potatoes...yummm!!! no dairy, no gluten, no over seasoning...ok!!!The catfish!!! you must stop in and have the owner fry you a couple pieces...The owner (Kim) came out and asked me how was everything. I was impressed. She also gave me her background - as she started from a food truck and leveled up to this restaurant. Awesome!I heard her talk to some other customers about how she implemented a request they had - bbq! From last visit to now - she offered what they were looking for. How sweet

Jan 18 2024Lunch run...not walk!That hot crispy whiting, green beans, and home made onion rings!Mrs Kim the owner is friendly, courteous and passionate about service to her community. Mouth watering and tasty. Go support this gem in Brandywine.

The location was easy to find. The staff was super friendly. I chatted with the owner and the cashier until my food was ready. Ms. Kim gave me some good ol' life advice. I arrived a couple hours before closing. The place was clean and welcoming. I ordered a smothered pork chops meal/ dinner. The customer before me ordered the last order of pork chops. Thus, I settled for chicken. I was shocked the smothered chicken came in the form of whole wings.. but I was good, nonetheless. I ordered to go and it came packaged well. The cake was also good. I definitely want to try it again. Must try!

This is a neighborhood black owned business and I will definitely support them when I have a hankering for fried fish. I found the location from Google however I've passed this place numerous times and may not have opted to patronize due to the location. The staff is Very welcoming and polite. The main reason I selected this place was for the fried fish and shrimp which did not disappoint, seasoned very well and not overcooked. In the combo you were able to select two sides I selected the mac & cheese and yams. I will be honest, the sides, I was not a fan of, but I will select two other sides Next time. Again, I would give this location another shot any day

Really wanted to give this place a chance. The customer service here is absolutely terrible. To be so full of attitude, the food definitely did not measure up. Not to mention, every choice off the menu I attempted order they did not have! Basically I was only able to order what the woman behind the counter said was available. She seemed very annoyed that we expected her to actually "work" and a provide service. Be kind to yourself and spent your money somewhere else.UPDATE: this review is not intended to offend, but to provide very honest feedback to hopefully encourage improvement so the business can continue to thrive.

I had the fried fish, fried shrimp, Mac and cheese and greens also got a side of fries and a lemon pound cake. Fish and shrimp torch Mac was good. Greens had a few stems but where good. Now the side of fries they no they was wrong giving me like 10 fries smh. But the where fresh hand cut and perfectly seasoned just a couple more would have been nice for the price. Lemon pound cake was good as well. A little in the sweet side but good none the less. Service was excellent. Definitely would recommend

I Love Love Love Ms. Beautiful inside and outside. Her Food is Slamming and Amazing always Cooked to Perfection and order. The Service is Amazing enjoying and loving and Fun. The Ambiance is Beautiful Clean and Classy just like the Owner. Please share and Show Love it worth Every Dime.

Tried this establishment for the first time on 4/20/24. I got a Philly cheese with fries and smothered pork chops with mac and cheese and yams . I wanted the meatloaf but they did not have so I ordered the pork chops. The Philly cheese steak sandwich was good so I would order again. The fries were soogy so I put in air fryer for 5 min. to fix and they were good.I will not get the pork chops again. They were tough and unseasoned. The mac & cheese did not hit the mark either. It was dry (was not in a cheese sauce). Yams were ok.I also got a piece of cake and it was good.
